My Bradford Holy oaks clock which he fix the case made of real solid oak wood not veneer
Art J.

Well this is the 1st time using Father Time since I hear them being advertised on classical music radio 98.7. I was familiar with them before because I used to be into antiquing and Belmont avenue had a lot more antique shops in the mid to late 90s. Anyways the reason why I came here is because I had a Bradford clock that I bought in 2008 which was made out of real oak wood the case or the frame. It had been service both to Bradford as well from another competitor called a Chicago clock company. Unfortunately I was not happy with Bradford clock because they use a German quartz movement called a Hermele. Bradford clocks proclaims that they are us made in regards only to their case which is real wood they use I bought an solid oak wood one and paid $300 back then in 2008 but unfortunately Hermele quartz movement made in Germany even though it's battery powered had faults of chiming the wrong time in Westminster chime. I ended up taking it to Chicago clock company and Clarendon hills and they put another kind of movement and got rid of that homily although I spent $200 for this Japanese one that had Christmas carols Westminster chime every 30 minutes and Westminster time every quarter of an hour as well as some other music it plays. Unfortunately it needed service again not because of the movement but because surprisingly the oak wood frame or case cracked when a Merry maid came over to clean our house for the first time I was not so happy. Usually after Thanksgiving I would set the clock to play the Christmas carols. When I took it into father time in which I spoke to I believe James he had mentioned that he could fix it the frame and he thought that the movement was broken it was like oh no I don't think so because I just fixed that movement with Chicago clock company and I had brought the batteries and it was still ticking and attacking including the movement of the pendulum. All he needed was to repair the case back because it really cracked but I'm surprised cuz it fell from the wall to the floor I don't know what the maid was doing. The reason why the four stars is he did a professional job putting it together and he finished it before Christmas which I gave him praise for the four stars. Why not five stars is because although it was the frame I think it was a bit too pricey almost as much as the clock I paid for Bradford original despite having it served so many times since 2008. But I do recommend coming here.

My classic find, now with an alligator strap

This is a great place to buy a Patek Philippe or Rolex, as well as a great place to service one…read more they also service other models. They offer a decent retail experience, which is extremely difficult when no organization can get their hands on much inventory. My only complaints are that the location can be a bit too busy when the weather is good, and that they should be selling pre-owned if they cannot fill orders. of course I could be wrong (I know nothing about luxury retail).

BUYERS BEWARE - Razny Jewelers (Addison) Sold Me a Used Rolex as New with a Tampered Warranty Card…read more My experience with Razny Jewelers in Addison has been nothing short of disturbing, and I feel obligated to share the truth to protect other buyers from potential deception. I purchased a Rolex Sky-Dweller (White Dial) from them after being on their waitlist for over a year, regularly communicating with store representatives like Lisa and Matthew. At the time of sale, I specifically asked about the reference model and was told that Rolex occasionally ships older references, which I accepted. What I did not expect--and what was never disclosed--was that I was being sold a USED watch misrepresented as BRAND NEW. Upon closer inspection of the warranty card, it became clear that the original date had been erased and reprinted. The faint outline of the original date-- 29 April 2023--is still visible beneath the alteration. This type of tampering is not only unethical but also borders on forgery. All sales staff involved were fully aware of their actions. When I confronted them, they brushed it off as "not a big deal." And said it was a mistake, but did you inform me when you were selling me the watch? NO. That kind of response is unacceptable, especially from an AD (Authorized Dealer) of a brand like Rolex. It is very evident they sold me a used, mint-condition watch under the guise of it being new--something no reputable jeweler should ever do. What's worse is their active effort to prevent accountability. I have made several attempts to escalate the matter to the owner, Mr. Razny, in hopes of a fair resolution. But the staff blocks me every time they realize the nature of my call. They go so far as to redirect me to other locations, rather than owning the issue and addressing it with integrity. It's heartbreaking to think that a family business with a long-standing reputation may be unaware that its own staff is tarnishing that legacy by covering up such dishonest practices. I have retained all evidence, including receipts, video proof, and the tampered warranty card, and I will include these in my review to ensure transparency. People may wonder why now. I was very polite, respectful, and reasonable, giving them enough time and a chance to rectify the situation, but they were adamant. So, imagine if you find yourself in my situation, whether it's a watch or jewelry, be prepared for the same kind of attitude and response. They would test your patience to the core. If I were the owner, and to be honest, I would have gone out of my way to resolve this issue, and would have done everything possible to make my customer happy. If you value trust, integrity, and the assurance of receiving what you paid for, think twice before doing business with Razny Jewelers in Addison. Their mishandling of my situation and blatant misrepresentation should be a significant red flag for anyone considering a purchase from them. Just imagine that your jewelry purchases, such as diamonds or gold, are what they claim to be? Also, keep in mind that the same practices were being carried out by Patek Dealer in Chicago when a whistleblower from within them revealed their sales practices, which led Patek to withdraw its franchise. I believe that if the Razny staff continues in this direction, they could be the next. All future buyers, please be cautious, conduct thorough due diligence on your purchases, and, if possible, avoid doing business with them. For past buyers, please recheck your purchases. Again, I am not someone who would write negative reviews about businesses, but this humiliating experience working with Razny was particularly egregious. They ignored me, which I didn't deserve. I had reached my limit, and my frustration was at its peak. I caution people that if even one individual reads it and spreads the word among their friends and family, and if this review helps, that would be great. I hope Razny hears now.
