We arrived at our hotel early today and needed to get dinner. We are traveling through town and don't know the area. So we looked up online what was good to eat here, in Georgetown. FatKats was labeled, "The Best Pizza in Town." Here are my thoughts. The restaurant had a reversed Pizza Hut vibe from the outside. The inside was full of purposeful graffiti and stickers on the walls. It was fine. It seemed fairly clean. The Good When we arrived, my daughter was having a HANGRY meltdown. One is the servers came over with crayons and coloring pages. I was optimistic! The pizza was pretty good. That is the star of the show. The prices were ok. The Bad Well, it took about 15 minutes to even order. Then, the salads arrived in a fairly quick manner. However, it had a little lettuce, some cheese, and a bunch of carrot slices. We were short on napkins and had to ask multiple times for them. My order was incorrect and had to be sent back and redone. We had to ask multiple times for drink refills, items that were missing from our order, and condiments. Overall, I would say the pizza was good but not amazing and the service was acutely lacking. I have eaten here 20 plus times and the last time was just a few months ago. It has always been clean and the staff has always been friendly. And, I love their pizzas. Today was sad. We came in and one of the servers hollered at us from the bar area that she would be with us shortly. She sat us in a booth in the front part of the restaurant. The floor was a greasy slick feeling under your feet. My wife said she slipped and slid all the way to the restroom and back. The restaurant smelled like dirty soured dish water. We don't even wait for our waitress to return to wait on us. We left without even ordering a water. read more

We actually discovered this place while we were heading to a different pizza place and decided to stop here instead. The decor is odd but the place seemed clean. Our server was friendly but absent. She only checked on us a couple of times, both times interrupting us trying to talk to her to joke around with another table. The pepperoni pizza rolls and pizzas were good, but the fire fries were a bit dry and mediocre. The price point is too high. read more

We only ate here once and from what I can remember the food was good. Don't remember much on the service but I'm thinking it was good. I understand they have a new owner/s. Ate there tonight and it's still AWESOME. Twisty breadsticks are the best around, pizza spot on and service is still has that same friendly local down home feel. First, the servers every time we've went have been amazing. I look forward to visiting just because of them. So thank you for hiring kind, smiling & positive people. With that being said, I say this next with a gentle nudge in hopes the owners will see it and potentially consider some changes. The atmosphere is dark and lends more towards a bar. We were traveling south back to Knoxville after spending the day at The Ark Encounter. We needed to eat before it got to late. I looked on yelp for pizza & this was number 1. We decided to give it a try. Our waitress was very friendly & attentive to us. We told her we had never been there & she was very helpful telling us about the menu. I got what I asked for, but I didn't get what I asked for. I ordered in person and got my pepperoni pizza, which seemed fresh and Italian but kind of greasy but it was still good. I also ordered basic cheese sticks, which I had seen on the menu prior to ordering. But they gave me EXTREMELY (an understatement) greasy bread with cheese hidden in the middle. It was good and wasn't disappointed other than not getting a sub. The waitress was running around the entire place but we never felt neglected in our service. I understand this establishment is under new ownership. I visited it tonight and they were doing a nice business and seating was quick and service was about what I would expect, I ordered, and I apologize I am going to spell it the way the restaurant does, Margarita Pizza, but its really their version of Margherita pizza without the cocktail. :-) It was really good, tomatoes and mozzarella tastes so fresh, good crust. We had an excellent time at FatKats! Our server, Jessie, was amazing! He stayed late to help out Emily with the dinner rush! They were both super friendly and had the best personalities! We got there at 8 and they close at 9. Instead of making us feel rushed they made us feel very welcomed! I highly recommend this place and I hope you get Jessie or Emily as your server! So my husband and I were wanting some pizza. We had considered Giovanni's but we had both been there. I wanted to be adventurous and try something new! Found FatKats Pizzeria who had very high ratings. I'm usually very nervous to try a new place; because of my many food allergies that I have. (Way too many to list). Lol. We saw on the sign to call ahead for a reservation for seating. Got ahold of someone while we were in the parking lot; and they said we could come right in. Since the parking lot was very full, we were surprised they had a booth available. As we walked in, there was another couple that had walked in and were told they needed to call and reserve. But since we had called, they put us in a booth right away. Shelby M was a really great server. She made sure that our drinks were full and that we had everything that we needed. Our Fire Fries (without spicy ranch) arrived at our table after about 20 mins of sitting and visiting on our date night. It was fantastic!! The grilled onions with the pepperoni and cheese and jalapeño peppers....OH MY!! Do get that if you like spicy things. Changed our perspective from typical cheese fries. After sitting there for a total of 50 mins, our Luau Pizza and our FatKats Traditional Bone in Wings came up. The pizza and the wings with buffalo sauce was AMAZING!! I would definitely come back here and try something new. My reason for my 4 stars, was the waiting time. Perhaps it is because of COVID19 and all that; but it has just been a long time that I have ever waited for my food. But regardless, we will be back. read more

Bread wasn't fresh (not even Italian bread) 2 whole meatballs cut into halves, paid $3 more to add grilled veggies and got 3-4 tiny pieces of each.. ordered light sauce and was soggy.. Antipasto $11 looks good albeit a little small and two tiny cups of pre-packaged dressing isn't adequate for a dinner salad but was surprised and disappointed that that it came with crackers and not bread.. from an Italian restaurant. All told was $26 for and 8" sandwich and salad.. if it was a full size sub on Fresh bread that had been generously appointed with the extras as the salad was full size with bread.... There is a reason their pizza has won awards on numerous years. It's that good. Fresh ingredients make a difference. They offer great salads and sides also. I like The Cowboy and Fresh Italian pizzas best. And the pizza rolls are a favorite. But they have much more...subs, wings, lasagna, baked spaghetti. This was a great find on our road trip. The server's were all super polite and all wore masks. The food was fabulous. The home made stuffed cheese bread sticks were huge and amazing. We ordered a medium sausage and pepperoni pizza it was delicious. Everything came out in a timely fashion and they were super busy when we got there. We were at the Ky Horse Park for the Pony Club Rally & Horse Trials and looking for a great place for dinner. My daughter kept talking g about FatKats because her friend had been there the night before... so we had to try it. We showed up and the parking lot was packed. I expected a long wait but were seated immediately. For appetizer we got some fried pickles which were pretty good and held us over while we decided on our dinner. First of all, order the breadsticks with cheese. Holy cow those things are awesome! Highly addictive with the marinara dipping sauce. The pizza. Darn it. The pizza. I really wanted it to be outstanding. I don't know what happened. After the breadsticks, it should have been one of the greatest pizzas of all time. It wasn't. We went traditional with a sausage pizza. It was nearly tasteless. To add insult to injury, they were stingy with the pizza sauce, which made for a pizza that was not only lacking in taste but robbed your mouth of moisture. Total let down. Then the server (who was excellent by the way) offered a free sampling of their ice cream. We chose a salty caramel ice cream called "This s?!+ is serious". It was. One of the best I've had. So, I'm all over with this review. My dining experience went from awesome to disappointing to awesome. In the end, you go here for the pizza. It was not that great.
