I've been wanting to try this place and finally did! I ordered a bacon cheese burger. Not sure if all burgers come with 2 patties but this did. I do not prefer 2 patties, its too much for me. Sadly they were out of pickles and they did not add mustard and ketchup, which I asked for. The burger itself was ok, not too exciting. I didn't really enjoy the bun either. I already knew how good Fatty Patty's food was, but tonight's experience is why I'll be a customer for life. My son graduated 8th grade, but the ceremony ran long, vaporizing the dinner reservations we had (COVID hours at sit-down restaurants are very reduced, as you likely know.) At 8:45, I called FP to check their hours. "9PM!" was the reply. We booked down and walked in at around 9:52. The gentleman behind the counter was obviously getting everything ready for close. The grills were spotless, etc. another woman was similarly getting everything sorted for the end of the day. I asked if it was too late to order, and he looked at me like I was nuts. "No. We're open!" I put in the order and thanked them profusely, mortified at dropping a family-of-five bomb on them as they were shutting down. "No problem! Give me 15 minutes." We hung out outside while we waited. When the order was ready, the young woman walked it out, congratulating my son, who was still in his cap and gown. I've been to plenty of places where I would have been greeted with an eye roll and an attitude, coming in when I did. Instead, I got some of the best service I've ever received anywhere, ever. Well this place hit the spot and the two girls who are working the register in the grill were amazing and I cannot wait to drive-through again to be able to have another yummy burger! The burger was great, two thin patties, no extra charge for additional toppings aside from bacon. Fresh and well cooked, overall 8.2/10. Nuggets were good but not jaw dropping. Fresh and crisp, well cooked and seemed higher quality. Just generic nuggets, hard to mess up. Overall solid experience. Very friendly, CLEAN place, seems pretty new. If you're looking for quality burgers definitely worth it. It's nice they have other options as well, for people who potentially don't eat beef or just want a leaner option. Would suggest to others! They didn't say and no where on the menu or a sign anywhere does it say it's a double patty so we ordered more food then we needed. We shared an order of shoe string fries and they portion was overflowing and they hit the spot. She also ordered a cheese dog and said it was very tasty they use Nathan's hot dogs and that's one of the few types she will eat. I ordered a turkey burger as well. Also a double patty. It was ok but underwhelming and I was already full from the burger and fries. We didn't get one this time but they do milkshakes as well. Tried to call ahead of time, no answer. Was on my way so whatever I'll just wait instead... Maybe the phone wasn't working so I told the girl working and she said "yeah I couldn't get to it." Um... ok. Fine. Well, second, the soda machine got my hands so nasty so I wanted to go wash them. Get to the bathroom and there's a code... I get that, but I'd appreciate the employee telling the customer "your bathroom code is on the bottom of the receipt." My nasty hands had to go in my pocket which was annoying and then I was thinking.... what if I threw my receipt away. It's the little things... I would highly recommend telling your customers this as you give them their receipt. Haven't tried my meal yet because I am waiting so hopefully it's great and this annoyance is forgotten. read more

I purchased a $50 for my brother last year(Dec 2020) for Christmas. My brother doesn't drive and with Covid he wasn't out much, and we still had his gift card. Yesterday 12/29/21 my brother and I went to Fatty Patty in Shelton and they could not get my brothers gift card to work.I was told the owners are in the Trumbull store today and we can go there to talk to them about this.. After we ate, we took a ride to the Trumbull store and explained to the owner that the card doesnt work. The owner told me they changed their system and it does NOT recognize the previous gift cards? I asked what we could do and she said they can't do anything and I should have used the card sooner? There is NO expiration date on the card and it was NOT my fault they changed their system? So Fatty Patty decided to change their system and any of their customers with a remaining balance on the previous version gift card is now screwed? How is that right or the correct way to treat your customers? I am sure they had a remaining balance of XXX amount when they closed the old system and they decided they just get to keep my money? That is stealing from your customers. I will NEVER step foot in FATTY PATTY again. I actually work right next door to the Shelton location and I have purchased gift cards on numerous occasions for my boss, and plant manager, plus I eat there when I do go out for lunch. Well I expected the owner to understand and offer to do something? instead of just keeping my money? She offered me a discount on my next purchase,,,REALLY?? I gave them $50 and received nothing and that is OK?? UPDATE: Today 1/3/2022 I asked my boss and plant manager if they used the gift cards I bought for them last year for Christmas, my plant manage has NOT used his card yet. I informed him don't bother it is no good anymore. He wasn't happy and told me he will not go there again either.
