We always get the same take out order from here. Chicken torta is our favorite sandwich, filling and satisfying. We also get a whole chicken with rice and beans. Don't forget the hot sauce, so addictive!

Staff spoke mostly Spanish. Remember this is a cash only location. There is a bar so you can get drinks The food was so flavorful. Very authentic.

Note: This is a cash only location. This is a place you get food relatively quickly and it's huge portions. I have been passing by this place several times. We were figuring out what to eat and decided to try this place since we were nearby. 4* and reading all the reviews with a grain of salt I think I had high expectations. The employees were great and efficient. Since it was a nice day, we opted to sit at the picnic tables outside. It had some food remnants, which isn't a big deal and you clean up the table a bit. We ordered Horchata and Jamaica drinks. Wow... They came in 20oz (pure guess on sizing) for $5.50 and $5.00 respectively. Jamaica was a bit sweet for me though for the price and size, can't really complain. We ordered: Appetizer: a platter of chicken wings - meat falls off the bone though it has a spicy kick. a whole roll of kielbasa - I thought it was crispy on the outside though a bit too salty for me. With the cheese, it was delicious. Entrees: Steak with onion - was ok. The dish was better than the chicken fajitas. Chicken fajitas - chicken wasn't marinated and dry. The soft tacos were plentiful. (Thank you!). With everything I tried, I was too full to eat everything. If you are in the neighborhood, give it a try.

Service is friendly and efficient. They're si goid here. This place is a laid-back authentic homemade restaurant. The food is clean and simple. Is really well done. The salmon and shrimp are delicious. The steak is good, but slightly overcooked. The chicken is okay but well cooked. I love the vibe of this place. Come eat and enjoy. It's hard to get a table, and they don't take reservations, but it's worth the wait.

Grilled or rotessirie chicken was good with green sauce. Steak was very thin. Steak could be a better quality churrasco.

Great Mexican place in Suffolk county. Packed parking lot, packed dining area full of locals. Their Portuguese bread was delicious: we got Al pastor tacos and fajita mixed. Came with rice and beans and green hot sauce. There was a bowl of red hot sauce which was very good and spicy. I'd put that shit on everything if I could. It was a fun outing, had enough leftovers for few meals after. They don't stint on serving sizes.

We were shopping in the neighborhood and realized we didn't have lunch. Based on a recommendation from a friend we decided to try this place. There is a parking lot which is convenient. Surprising to us that mid -afternoon on a Sunday the restaurant was packed! We added our name to the list and waited 20 minutes or so. Once inside, it was full of locals so they know where to get authentic Portuguese/Mexican cuisine. We had the half chicken with rice, grilled chicken cutlets and a side of vegetables. Good size portions. Delish! The table next to us had ordered a raw steak that came on a slab and they cooked the steak themselves on the slab! Wish I knew what dish that was! Because they were cooking, the ceiling fans overhead kicked in. There is a full service bar as well. They have an extensive menu with Sunday specials. Service is friendly and efficient. It is CASH ONLY so come prepared. Definitely recommend it!

I came by because I saw a sign that said it was Mexican and Portuguese. It seems famous for its chicken, so that's what I ordered, I ordered the chicken with rice and beans. I think getting it with fries seems to be the popular option. You can get a half or a whole chicken. I really just wanted dark meat but just getting just dark meat is not an option. So I got half of a chicken. The dark meat was very flavorful. The white meat is still in my refrigerator. It's nice like Portuguese restaurants they bring you olives and bread and butter. The crowd inside was lively and a little bit loud, but they seem like they are regulars, which is always a good sign. So half a chicken with a soda and tip came to just over $20 and they only take cash. I would recommend it for the chicken since that's what I had other items on the menu are tacos and various meat entrées.

This is my second time to Fax Chix. The food is good, the ambiance is relaxed, service quick. It's not a fancy place where you need to dress up. They have a parking lot as well as roadside parking. Our waittress was very nice even helped pack the good. It is cash only; with that being said, the bill was 79 bucks, so we paid in cash with a hundred-dollar bill and the plan was to leave her the rest for the tip but she never came back with the change so that we can give it to her! So basically she took the tip automatically. Which I never experienced anything of the sort before. I'll still go back to eat but with plenty of singles and change so I can decide on the tip.

Half chicken spicy, cooked well done. With rice and beans. Smells outrageous. Really delicious.

The sides of sauce you get are each their very own beautiful flavor profile and an experience. Highly recommended. Excellent first experience. Coming back for that birria pizza!

The way the small bar is set up, because of the wall separating it from the dining room...it gives it an intimate vibe I really like. The ambient lighting and pleasing decor sets the mood to enjoy your choice of cocktails. We asked the bartender if she could make the cucumber margarita on the menu spicy? She obliged. Those drinks weren't as spicy or refreshing as we had hoped. We stuck with the classic margaritas for next round. They were just right! I'm not sure if themed weekends are a regular occurrence here. But this night was the final night of their Mango Madness Weekend. We were served plain nachos with a mango salsa dip. The Honey devoured it. I prefer my salsa with a red sauce and a bit of a spicy kick. I decided to give the steam mussels in a sauce with mango pieces, a try. I did not know this was the combination of spicy and sweet that I needed in my life!! We ordered extra bread and sopped up every last bit of it!! We made a point to tell the bartender how much we enjoyed it! We were grateful and disappointed, when she told us we had just eaten the last of it. Dang!
