Service is SO SO slow. Place was a sauna. Food is bland. We were 2 adults 1 toddler we were the only table there, we get our drinks. The place was sooo hot and humid I could barely breathe. 10 minutes later a table of 6 comes, they order drinks, place their apps order and dinner order. 20 minutes later we STILL have not placed our food order and had to flag someone down. On top of the food taking forever, no one checked on us. I got the enchiladas verdes BLAND. Ordered a cheese quesadilla for my son, cheese was like an inch thick, we had to squeeze it out. And my husband got a chicken torta that was stale. $85 later I wish we went across the street and got sushi instead. Will definitely not be back. read more

An absolute hidden gem in Patchogue village for comida authentica Mexicana! We visited for lunch around the holidays for a quick bite. We got sangria and a michelada as drinks to start. The sangria had quite a punch and the michelada had me reminiscing about that one time in Mexico. We got a shrimp sopa to share which came out hot and was super tasty. Our tortas came quickly after. I got the mixto torta which had two kinds of meat, and we also got the Cubano. After they came out we realized we could have split a sandwich because they were huge. The sandwich bread was soft and the sandwich itself was delicious. Aside from the food we got, they offer kids meals and even breakfast! They also have your typical tacos and burritos. I also loved the ambiance of the place, really gave you that feel of Mexico. I honestly cannot wait to go back and try other things they have to offer. read more

Steak was low quality. Quesadilla is fat because it has a pound of cheese in it. Then it is drowned in sour cream. I only had 2 of the 4 quesadillas and my stomach started bubbling. The pico looks like an afterthought that is just for looks not actually eat. I wouldn't order anything else from here. If you like cheese I guess this is for you! read more

I really really wanted to like this place but it doesn't quite make the cut. Walking in with my family of 5 I was immediately thinking " o man this is gonna be amazing" The Mexican ambience is all over the place. The people are nice but the food is bland. The nachos were very unimpressive. You can get better anchors at Applebee's. The chicken they used was a fried cutlet ( looked like from a bag you get at Cosco) cut up. That was the same chicken for the children chicken fingers. The chicken flautas were dry and lacked a good sauce. We all had the burrito and although they are big they fell apart immediately as you picked it up and they were so bland, no taste! This place will not last and it a shame bc they are very nice people but put some flavor in your food!!! This can not be authentic Mexican! read more

Please don't come here. It's a Sunday and there's one waiter / bartender and one cook. The waiter couldn't even get the water order correct. We asked for water and he brought out Poland Spring, for a price of course. The prices on the menu are ridiculously high. A side order of rice and beans, which served 1, is a whopping $10.99. All of the prices are more than most Mexican restaurants I've eaten at. The burrito was huge, too much for one sitting and not very tasty. The chicken quesadilla was overfilled with cheese. It basically tasted like I was eating a block of cheese and couldn't taste or see any chicken. Sopes was apparently good. Bottom line: With so many choices to eat on Long Island, you can put this place on the back burner. read more

Great hidden gem of a restaurant. Authentic Mexican cuisine for fair prices. I've gotten take out and dined-in multiple times and I want to address some of the comments To the rude man below that complained about paying for bottled water, it says on the menu that they serve bottled water... Also, he complained that a large side of rice and beans were too expensive and then proceeded to say the burrito was enormous (they are, and delicious, well worth the $16) and the quesadilla had too much cheese? This restaurant likes to serve as much as possible and I'd be grateful because prices are fair especially compared to the other restaurants near main street. They do not add salt to most dishes to let customers control that on their own, salt is provided at every table. Some people are not used to fresh food. This is a small, locally owned restaurant with a small staff. If you are a decent human being you will understand a short wait time (especially for freshly prepared food), but I have to say I never thought I waited "too long" for my food. To the woman who complained about getting "frozen fried chicken"... They give you the option of fried or grilled chicken with the burritos, nachos, etc. If you want grilled, you need to specify (read the menu before ordering). The staff has always been welcoming, warm and friendly. They've stayed open late a couple of times that I've dined in with friends or family and never made us feel rushed. I don't know them personally but I hate when entitled people talk poorly about an establishment for totally objection and irrational reasons. Regarding the food: The tacos and tostadas are delicious. The carne asada dish is definitely worth it. As someone who doesn't eat gluten or dairy, I find that I have a lot of options here. The salsa's are amazing. The green one is not spicy and delicious. They offer fruit smoothies with the option of water or milk, we've tried the mango, tomato de arbol, and strawberry which were all delicious. Try the agua de Jamaica if you can! We weren't able to try the tamales the last time we were in because they ran out, but it's nice to know they are made fresh daily and the owner assured us that if we call ahead of time or early in the day she can set some aside for us. Have been trying to go but every time I do it always seems to be closed. Today decided to make this review after going there today and it was closed yet again (3 times total). Usually I try to hit up some new places for lunch and this place just is never open for lunch hours I guess?? I also don't recall seeing times posted anywhere on the door and obviously the Google hours are no good since I was there at prime lunch time and door was bolted shut and lights off. I would recommend calling first if you can to confirm they're open and maybe having a back up place if it isn't. read more

Delicious! Burrito was HUGE and tasty. Quesadillas are excellent. Tamales are VERY good. Service is always friendly.

This spot replaced the Ramen restaurant that was here in Patchogue. We loved the extensive menu with lots of yummy items. The staff was great and very kind. We did guacamole for an appetizer and it was very good. For the main meal we had their chicken and beef burritos. They were delicious. read more

It was amazing the dude who was serveing us was very kind and funny he understood all me and my mom's questions he was overall amazing. The food, it was amazing as soon as the meat touched my mouth I knew it would be awesome the was super tender and had the best flavors ever! the other two tacos were great the taste was good I love how they added lemon it really brought it togethe. they gave us free nachos we could eat with the sauce. the environment was great it was a vibe the tables were clean everyone was super nice, also the dude who served us was super fast over all the restauran is super nice I definitely recommend this place. read more

Really gross! They were lazy and decided to put breaded chicken on a bland burrito. The service was also really bad and music was way too loud and as soon as it stopped we heard a coughing kid in the back which it seems they were trying to drown out. Excellent New Mexican restaurant on South Ocean. I had the soft shell tacos and refried beans. The steak, chicken and carnitas were all tasty. The hostess even gave me a rice pudding sample. The hot sauce was great as well. I would definitely recommend Lindo Mexico. read more

Excellent, authentic Mexican food! (Which sadly, is a challenge to find in Suffolk County. I see restaurants with five stars that have horrible food. Not the case here!) I ordered some food to go, after working a long event in the area and it was delicious! Ready in maybe 7 minutes. Chicken enchiladas with verde (green) sauce instead of the (spicier) red. Perfect amount of heat for me. Will definitely be back, despite the hour drive round-trip. Usually I am suspicious of 5 star reviews. This place deserves it and more. This this is the best I have had since leaving Texas. Everything is fresh and yummy. It's so fresh, that sometimes they don't have everything ready when we go before noon. That isn't bad, because we just try something new. Let me stress everything has been great. The el pastor is very good with a nice heat and the sweet pineapple. Sopes, tacos and tamales are our favorites. Even their guacamole is fresh and nice. Food was excellent. I had tacos de lengua and my sister had the shrimp tacos plays a tamale which was excellent. The masa was clearly a white corn masa and cooked to perfection. The filling was the right amount of spicy for me. The churros were good which we split.
