It was recommended that I continue to treat for all of the new conditions which arose following cataract surgery. Following surgery, I was informed that there could be a 25% chance of scar tissue . The scar tissue was diagnosed in both eyes which required additional laser procedures with more out of pocket expenses incurred. It was then suggested that I see a specialist for dry eye and continue to be monitored for "detached retina" due to my previous nearsightedness. Not sure the treatment, visits or additional out of pocket expenses would of ever ended based on their in ability to discuss the medical bill charges with knowledge. Numerous times when inhouse , I suggested the staff use better discretion when securing patient's information face to face and while speaking aloud on the phone since HIPAA was a concern. Nothing every changed, so it's time now for me to make a change. Find another specialist that doesn't see 49 patients per day.

When I called to check for earlier availability due to my worsening vision, I was shocked to learn that my appointment had been cancelled without my consent and pushed to December 9. This behavior is egregious, irresponsible, and disrespectful. It shows poor communication and lack of professionalism. Patients deserve better care, transparency, and accountability.

When I asked about this, they told me perfectionists don't do well with Lasik. I was not the only one who was upset by the customer service- one lady walked out saying that it had gone downhill. I almost left halfway through the appointment. The lasik is cheap because they don't cover prescription or touch up if needed. You also have to drive 1.5 hrs + to another office for the procedure. I highly suggest paying a bit more and going elsewhere. I'm not usually picky when it comes to minor things or events, I'm not even sure I've written a Yelp review before, but when dealing with my eyesight and SURGERY, I expect a lot more.

I gave it two stars because of a young female doctor who is really nice. I expect to make an…read moreappointment and not wait for more than 10 minutes, tops. Here, you have to wait for about an hour. Too many patients for a small group of workers. They seem to be monopolizing Leominster, Gardner and surrounding areas. I drive 45 minutes down south of Massachusetts instead of coming here, a luxury I can afford. My heart goes to those that unfortunetly are "stuck" with them due to insurance, limited transport or personal circumstances. Go elsewhere if you can do so.
