I would recommend going here for an eye checkup. My primary doc said I should get my eyes checked, so I did! Very nice modern clean office. They first have you sit in front of 4 separate machines that check your eyes. It's a lot more high tech than when I was a kid. Soon an app on your phone will do all this! But it was great - no more weird numbing of the eyeballs and sticking that thing to it to check density or whatever the heck they did there. Remember when they'd dilate your eye and everything would be numb and super bright the rest of the day? No more! Then you go to the second room and the Doc checks on you. Still a bit old school in that he will swap lenses in front of you and you have to say which is better or worse. But even that has some high tech to it as you look at one digital screen far away then one super close up. It was cool. Dr. O'Neil is great - he explained everything and I was happy with it all. He did seem a little distracted and/or curt which is totally fine with me. I honestly don't need a song and dance; just tell me how I'm doing. I only note it here in case someone like my mom goes and thinks she got brushed off. I'm all for just giving me the facts. I'm super happy with the service and they have some amazing frames here too if you decide to buy them too. read more

Dr Oneil and his talented team are amazing...they provide the best products and the professional guidance to ensure you get the best glasses or contacts to match you lifestyle and activities. I brought my kids in recently and they fitted them with the perfect sunglasses to their size with the best lenses and UV protection. What a dope I have been for going to mall stores when I could go to a DR for the same selection and price. Nashoba vision is Simply the Best! The staff are helpful, but the optician is kind of a jerk. They made glasses for me and needed to put prisms in and put them in backwards. Three weeks later I got them back with the prisms in the correct orientation. However, the alignment was off for the vision correction so it made one eye clear and the other eyes blurry. They were able to adjust the frames so they were okay, but it still seems that the "sweet spot" is so small that any normal shifting of the nose pads makes it blurry for one or both eyes. It seems as though it would be an easy fix, but they wouldn't do it read more

I have been going here since I was around 12 years old and I just love this business! First of all, the office is absolutely gorgeous and extremely clean and comfortable. The receptionists are some of the most kind staff I've encountered. I remember years ago I was a couple dollars short and she said she would pay the couple dollars for me. It was so kind of her. They are understanding if you're running late too. The assistants seem very smart and well trained and know exactly what they're doing. Dr. O'Neil is the BEST! He is so nice and friendly and really takes the time to get to know his patients. Also, I know some places don't like to give out a copy of your prescription because they want you to purchase glasses and contacts from them, but this is not the case here. Even though I moved about 35 min away I don't think I'll ever go to a different place. All around just a great place and I definitely recommend! read more

I arrived 15 minutes late for my appointment after driving over an hour to make it. The receptionist informed me when I walked in the appointment was cancelled and I would have to reschedule. I have waited much longer in the waiting room to be seen. She was very rude and unaccommodating. I have been a patient at this practice for over 10 years. Her attitude and lack of respect were totally unprofessional. Dr.O'Neil is wonderful but the staff do not reflect well on this business. read more

This is by far the worst service I have ever encountered. Went in for the annual check up to get prescription and new frames. Was told it would be a week. Call a week later and was told one more week. Finally went in 3 week later( was away on holiday) to try on glasses. I was given the wrong glasses and I told the lady these are not the ones I ordered as the color on the inside was suppose to be blue not pink. And the glasses were blurry , which meant she was letting me try on someone else's glasses. She tried to convince me that these were the ones and that my eyes might need to be checked again. I agreed, so made another appointment only to show up at the appointment and was told that someone was suppose to call to cancel my appointment ( not sure who someone is) So at this stage I am fed up and she says I can come in the next morning. Came in and told the dr what had happened. You could see he was embarrassed. So was told that the order will be rushed that was a Saturday. Tuesday I called and asked how it's going. She said it should be here by end of the week but then the lenses still needed to go into the frames. Now in week 4 of waiting it would have gone into 5 weeks. So she says I can bring in my frames. I'm like.... my frames are at your office!!! So she says she found them. I asked for a description of the frames and again all wrong. At this stage I told her I will be over in the office to come look. Showed up and it was totally wrong. She then tells me to come to the sitting area and she could see I was upset, then proceeded to ask me to sit. I told her I don't want to sit. I want a refund, I am outta here. The dr seems great, but he has now lost 3 patients because of the incompetent and useless staff. read more

I have nothing bad to say about Dr. O'Neil. He is highly personable and stays up with the latest diagnostic technology. He's great about explaining what is going on with your vision and is willing to accommodate requests and adjustments. I've been going to Nashoba Vision Associates for 7 years and I've always been satisfied with his service. I am however recently disappointed with the frame selection for glasses and the demeanor and transparency of the front end staff. [This review includes an update. Please read through to the end.] In May, I purchased a pair of Tag Hauer frames. They looked great but became loose within the first month. I brought them back to be tightened. While I was waiting to pick up the frames I overheard one of the opticians talking to another patient about the poor engineering of these particular frames. After this initial retightening, my new glasses now had cracks around the drill holes where the frames were connected to the lenses but I hoped they would be fine. These guys are the experts, not me. I have too much trust. New expensive frames that are expected to last 2 years only lasted seven months... Broken into two pieces and completely unwearable. When I brought them in yesterday (Dec. 19) I was told there was nothing they could do because the frames are discontinued. They acted as if I destroyed the frames. A total loss of time and money. I'm disappointed because I truly thought they would own up to selling me "lemon" frames. I will be taking my business elsewhere. I cannot recommend Nashoba Vision. Buyer beware! Update: Dr. O'Neil reached out to me after learning about this review and offered to replace the offending frames. My recent visit on Jan. 15th was extremely positive as my visits had been prior to that negative encounter on Dec. 19th. The front end staff were familiar, friendly and apologetic. They have proven to me that they place customer service as their number one priority. My one star review has subsequently become a four. Nashoba Vision is my first choice (again) for my eye care. To start, I haven't been to an eye doctor since I was a little kid. My appointment with the doctor and technician was okay, however I would advise to not go here unless you plan on purchasing glasses from their shop. At the end of my appointment had decided that I did not want to commit to the glasses that they had so I requested my prescription from them. I realized when I got home that my prescription did not include my PD which was vital to ordering glasses online. I called the next day and was basically told that they did not actually measure this as I had not planned on purchasing glasses from them. When I asked if I could stop by and have this measured, I was told that measurements would be done only if you were buying and that they rarely make exceptions to this rule. Won't be coming back here. read more

You will not find better!! I've seen a few different eye doctors before finally finding my home at Nashoba Vision. I recently moved closer to this area so decided to find a closer eye doctor. I called on a Wednesday and quickly got an appointment for Saturday, which was a great convenience that they were open on a Saturday! I was also desperate for contacts, so the quick turnaround was very much appreciated. When I arrived, the front desk representatives were so helpful, as it was clear this was my first time here. I only waited for maybe 5-10 minutes before seeing Lauren, who walked me through everything I needed to know in regards to my prep before seeing the doctor. She communicated well and was incredibly friendly! After going through everything with Lauren, she was walking out of the room as Dr. ONeil walked in - no waiting! Dr. ONeil checked parts of my eyes that were never even checked before. He seemed very well educated and walked me through everything he was discussing with me. He was easy to talk to, quick, and efficient! I was very impressed!! I couldn't believe that they had all contacts on-hand and ready for me to not only purchase, but purchase a years worth! I had never seen this before, I had always had to order and wait. As mentioned, I was desperate for contacts so this was very appreciated. As you may know, contacts can run expensive but Nashoba Vision had a great price plus a very generous rebate from Acuvue. I cannot speak more highly of Nashoba Vision! Shop around, glasses are pricey. They look like they have a big selection but most are the same ones from 10 years ago. Check your bills very closely, lots of billing errors. Don't try calling, you'll be on hold forever. One person working the front desk for patients coming in/leaving and answering phones. High turnover...every year I have gone in for an eye exam there is someone different working there. I am switching to another local eye doctor. read more

I went to Nashoba Vision in June for an eye exam because I wanted to try a different eye doctor after signing up for Eye Med Insurance through my employer. The office is beautiful and Dr. O'Neil and the rest of the staff are very friendly. I decided to have a pair of prescription glasses made and went with a pair of Wiley-X--a brand I've owned before. The glasses came in and they were never right for me. The fit was different than when I tried them on without lenses and my vision was distorted due to the significant wrap of the lenses. I tried to make them work for a couple weeks and after realizing they weren't working for me, Nashoba Vision took them back. The reason the glasses didn't work for me was no one's fault but my satisfaction was clearly number one, a rarity these days. I was asked to look through the rest of their collection and found a pair of Oakley's that fit perfectly and was able to exchange them for no additional charge. Try doing that online. I highly recommend Nashoba Vision for eye exams and glasses. read more
