I had fish cake, house special lo-mein, and oil roti. The fish cake was great! Small yet very flavorful and satisfying. The lo-mein had shrimp, lamb, and chicken (I think) in it. Great flavor but the shrimp was a bit soft and the chicken was a bit dry. The roti wasn't special but it wasn't bad either. The food here is like getting food at an aunty's house. It's good, familiar, and comforting but not top tier in the "foodie" sense. Family run establishment which you can see and feel. Friendly service. I am From Jax, Florida and went to NYC to visit my cousin, I had the taste for some Guyanese food in which we are both Guyanese. He recommended Fazee's as a good place. I placed my order and was asked by the young lady if would I like my order to go. I told her she can fix it to go, but we will be eating some here. We were both hungry, so we sat down and ate a little to hold us over. I stepped outside to answer a call and came back in with him arguing the young lady that took our order. The owner intervenes to settle the situation in which i give her a lot of credit after all it's her business. The disrespectful ignorant young lady who doesn't understands customer service at a restaurant ask him to clean off the table before he leaves. Is that the customers job or hers. Dhal Puri was the best around in the beginning. But now the quality of the dhal puri dropped. The edges are hard and the puri is burnt. Plus there was some black stuff in the peas. When I approach them they ignore me and there was no satisfaction. I got into the store and was waiting for ten mins before someone attend to me. I had to wait until they finish conversation and laughing. The owner is definitely not down to earth. I will take my business somewhere else. Cosy, clean and with a friendly atmosphere. All items are fresh off the pot and as tasty as it can get. Dhall Puri is the best you can have any time, anywhere and goes well with the curried lamb, goat, chicken, duck, fish and even egg and aloo! Veggies are a must for down-home goodness feel. This can include oil roti and dhall, chowmein and fried rice. I like to add either fried chicken, jerk or BBQ. Food is decent that's the only reason I'd give 2 stars at most... but definitely overpriced. Attitude of the women are disgusting. The 3 times I've been here there are always men walking in and just going to the back checking the food and telling the ladies what they want and laughing like they're friends. Some even go to the kitchen to see someone even though they don't even work there. They treat this establishment like it's a somebody house not a business/ restaurant. And by them doing that, the few loyal customers that they built make it ghetto by waking in being loud, cutting people , acting a fool and being bold and the ladies that work there laugh and encourage it. And as far as health standards go, the front looks clean but if they open those doors in the back, not so much. read more

Sad to say but FAZEE is clearly still used to working in her home kitchen because she literally has no customer service skills. Honestly, she has built a loyal following so she doesn't feel the need to solicit more business by smiling or providing good service. One time she was on the phone when I walked in, didn't acknowledge me, and then waved her finger to signify that I need to wait until she was done her call. After I waited, forever, as she argued on the phone, someone else came out to say they had no more Roti. They never have any fresh food on the steam table and everything is old or dried out. A great restaurant with good people. Everything is always freshly made and tasty every time! I keep telling Fazee that her food taste just like the food I grew up on. A taste of Guyana for sure. This place is pretty small, but has a good size menu. Curry goat was delicious, jerk chicken nice and juicy, chickpea roti were fresh, even my picky 4 years old ate it. Chowemin was cold, salty and spoiled, I had to throw it away, it smelled spoil also, yet they served it and took my money amazing. I don't live in Queens, so I couldn't not return it. Cassava balls were cold, no sauce to eat with it. Pastries full of flour, little filling, wow. Customers service could be better, with a smile, check if customers got everything before leaving. I usually drive and look for parking, to support this business. Happy customers will return and tell others. I am very disappointed and regret the outcine of this promising business. My husband purchased food from here on 8/9/2020... the food sat on the counter for all of 10 min before I noticed a horrible smell.. I smelled the bag and couldn't believe that it was the "fresh" food he just bought home.. we opened the doubles and there were small maggots inside.. like who does that..? Who with a good conscious serves that to people .. if we didn't smell the spoil smell we would have eaten it and gotten sick..! Smfh .. the food is clearly reheated and stale. He bought it with the hopes they updated their methods.. clearly not and they have gotten worse .. no one in their right mind should eat from this establishment.. I wouldn't wish what we found on my worst enemy.. please do yourself a favor and go somewhere else.. I wish we had thought to take a pic before we threw it away..! read more

Please be aware of this place FAZEE RESTURANT on 215 st queens village I was told from a lady who work there in the basement RATS was found eating from the bags of flour and they have to use it to make the roti also those ladies who worked at the front have NO respect/principles they need to be train how to deal with the public horrible also when costumer walk out the RESTURANT they gossip about them. read more

I'm was excited for another West Indian spot in the neighborhood but on several occasions I order roti and you can tell it's stale. This was very disappointing! Also cater food here for a few occasions just because it was convenience and was not a 100% satisfied. Sometimes the food is good and sometimes not that's great as before. Maybe it's the chief who knows. I would like to see improvement just to support small businesses. read more

In my opinion this is the best Guyanese restaurant around. The food is always tasty and the dhall puri is awesome. I have tried many other restaurants but nothing compared to Fazee's.
