We had the entire place to ourselves and I would absolutely come back. Chef and servers were friendly. Food was soooo delicious. It was made to order so it came out hott and I loved every bite. Music was on point and they even had a section with games like uno, jenga and some others. There's so much on the menu to try! The oxtail and fried chicken were soo good, I'm willing to try it all

Finally stopped by this restaurant I been seeing it for almost 2 years. We went around 6 on a Sunday it wasn't busy at all. They were very friendly & welcoming. We ordered jerk chicken & oxtails. Both meals were really good. And we had enough for lunch the next day. We got peach margaritas & passion fruit margaritas. It was supposed to be frozen but it wasn't the typical frozen we are used to but they were okay. I would recommend you try them out.

An Incredible Experience at Cookerz Blend! From the moment we walked in, we were greeted by a man whose warmth and hospitality were truly A1. He made us feel right at home! We started by asking for drink recommendations, and he was honest, detailed, and spot-on with his suggestions. I went with the Kulture Klash, and it did not disappoint, a bold ginger-forward drink with just the right touch of pineapple. (Fair warning for those not too big on ginger, it's got a kick!) For lunch, I ordered the oxtail and my partner had the jerk chicken, both were absolutely packed with flavor but perfectly balanced. Each dish came with rice and peas, steamed veggies, and sweet plantains. The ox tail was fall off the bone soft and tender. The jerk chicken wasn't too spicy, had just enough kick that made it enjoyable to eat. The sauces... the flavor... everything was amazing. Between the food, the vibes, and the exceptional hospitality, Cookerz Blend easily earns five stars from us. Highly recommended, and we'll definitely be visiting again!

We visited Cookerz Blend today and had a wonderful experience. Mo, our server (and the owner), went above and beyond to take care of us while also managing the bar and the kitchen. His drinks were fantastic, and the food was 100%! Since he was the only one working, service was a bit slow, but we didn't mind at all--the wait was absolutely worth it. The mac and cheese is a must-try, and the jerk chicken with rice and peas was delicious. We'll definitely be back soon!

The food was good. I had enough for two meals. Disappointed I had to pay $1 for gravy on the rice and then they barely put any gravy on it. & had to pay $1 extra for plaintain instead of vegetables. I opted to get the jerk sauce on the side since I was sharing the food with my daughter. I'm glad I got it on the side because it was very spicy. However the food was good.

Came here after seeing great reviews on social media on a random Thursday with a friend. I was a little hesitant because it was empty inside, but the owners were so welcoming that we decided to stay. We were not disappointed! The food was simply delicious. Felt like it was cooked to order with fresh ingredients as if I were in some Auntie's Caribbean island kitchen. The drinks were unique and strong. I will definitely go back but this time on the weekend to see what the ambience is like.

Cookerz Blend....10/10. My boyfriend was in charge of finding us a place and listen. We knew it'd be amazing. The owner and chef was the nicest ever. We both ordered a rum punch and were blown away. I have to say best one I've ever had. The festival and Mac and cheese- WOW! And the main event. The jerk chicken? Amazing. Please check them out. We have found a new spot.

    Jerk Chicken Fried Sweet Plantains

This meal was so good. The chicken was juicy, flavorful, and perfectly charred with a delicious smoky glaze. The fried plantains were soft, sweet, and golden -- the perfect balance to the savory chicken. Everything tasted fresh and well-seasoned. I'd definitely get this again.

Came here since I wanted jamaican food at a place that has a nice interior as I was the mood to eat in. After sifting through some options I gradually came upon this place since the reviews were generous and the pictures looked nice. Came in and immediately noticed how much smaller it seemed in person than in the picture, which isn't a huge deal. Ended up ordering the jerk chicken wings, the ox tail and the brown stewed chicken. Jerk chicken wings here were phenomenal, loved the concept and the flavor here was done perfectly as it had all the jerk flavor to it with a hit of a sweet bbq glaze, this was unfortunately the only high note of the restaurant. Next ordered the oxtail which had way too much oregano, sauce was too watery and overall was not as flavorful as I'm used to at other places. The brown stewed chicken was bland and dry as well. The nickeling and diming here was also incredibly unwarranted and frankly appaling, as i paid a dollar extra for two plantain slivers. The biggest kicker was the price here, at 82 dollars I did not think the quality here warranted such a huge premium, especially since there are so many options around this part of town. While the presentation here is better than alot of other local spots the food quality and their business practices leave alot to be desired

Took a jaunt over to this wonderful restaurant. It is a large restaurant with a beautiful and tasteful layout. The owner and chef was an incredibly gracious and lovely person. Each dish was made to order and was fantastic, inventive and delicious. We had 3 dishes and were so pleased. The oxtail and snapper were incredible and filling.

We stopped by this neighborhood on our way to a concert and we were blown away by this new restaurant! The Caribbean food was really delicious- the flavors were deep and intense and we nearly drank the oxtail sauce. Unfortunately, not all the menu items were available, but we got to try things we never had before. I'm not Caribbean, so I can't attest to the food authenticity, but I definitely enjoyed the meal. The staff were very patient with explaining the different food to us as well, which we were grateful for! One day, we will be back!

This restaurant opened early May 2023! The staff were very friendly and down to earth. There is not too much seating inside, a decent amount for individuals or pairs, but only a couple of tables for 4. There is a QR code on the table to scan for you to order and pay through the web, or you can order with the friendly staff. The food is flavorful and juicy, and the sweet sauce is tangy and light. Oxtail is tender with savory sauce, and the jerk chicken was well seasoned and juicy. The French fries were very crispy! Come in and support local business!!

Every Friday, my four of us pick a different takeout spot, and without fail, someone always says, "Can we just get The Door?" We've had the curry goat, Rasta pasta, jerk chicken, fried chicken, oxtail, Esco chicken, soups, and the chicken patttttttties... mi God. Mi never taste a food wicked suh yet! Everything is consistently flavorful, fresh, and cooked with love. It's honestly become one of our go to spots because we know exactly what we're getting every single time. In my previous review, I mentioned a less than stellar experience. Looking back, maybe they were just having an off day or maybe I got the pot bottom. Whatever the reason, they've been nothing short of amazing ever since. Whether they changed chefs or tightened things up, whatever you're doing... DON'T CHANGE NADA! And I have to give an honorary shout out to Desrene, one of the wonderful team members who takes the takeout orders. She is ALWAYS pleasant, professional, and genuinely kind. It honestly brightens my day whenever I hear her voice on the other end of the phone. Consistency is everything in the restaurant business, and The Door has absolutely earned this updated 5-star review. Keep doing what you're doing!

Why did I wait so long to come here?!…read more I mean, I know why. It's a bit of a trek from where I live. But I'll happily travel for good food, and Trinciti absolutely justified the journey. As an Indian, I don't say this lightly. I know my Indian food. I was already aware of the historical overlap between Indian and Caribbean cuisines, but Trinidadian food fascinated me. The familiar spices and flavors are there, yet they've evolved into something entirely their own. You can taste the migration story, the adaptation, and the creativity in every bite. A quick practical note because Instagram reels had me misinformed. They do take cards. You don't need cash. Also, parking isn't exactly abundant, and there aren't many nearby places to sit with your takeaway. My advice is to grab a table and eat there. The space itself is small and pretty no-frills, so if you're coming for ambiance, this isn't that kind of place. But if you're coming for flavor, you're in exactly the right place. The setup is simple. You line up, order when it's your turn, and move things along. It's a busy spot, so a little menu reconnaissance goes a long way. The staff are efficient and patient, but they're not mind readers. Asking them whether shrimp or chicken is "better" feels like asking someone whether you should prefer chocolate or vanilla. Both are good. It depends on what you like. We ordered the dhalpuri roti, which is a soft flatbread stuffed with seasoned ground lentils. If you're sharing, ask for it not to be wrapped. Otherwise, it comes rolled up like a wrap. We filled ours with both the curried goat and the oxtail because we weren't there to play it safe. Both were excellent, paired with those comforting, home-style potatoes that soak up all the flavor without overwhelming you with spice. I also couldn't leave without trying the doubles, and we kept it plain. Oh. My. God. Flavor bomb. At its heart, it reminded me of chole bhature's distant cousin. The same comforting chickpea soul, but interpreted through Trinidad's lens with pepper sauces and chutneys that make it unmistakably its own. I honestly think the chutneys are what take it over the top. For the bake and shark though Pay first, take your number, and when they call you up, tell them how you'd like it dressed. Personally, I have a "trust the chef and give me everything" philosophy, so I said yes to it all. The result was a glorious mess of crispy fried shark piled high with pineapple, lettuce, cucumber, tomatoes, and an array of vibrant chutneys that I am still thinking about. They do not skimp on the fish. Watching them assemble it from the front row is part of the fun. Before you leave, do not skip the cassava cake. The raisin dessert was a bit too sweet for my taste, but that's entirely personal and worth trying if you have a sweeter tooth than I do. They also sell plenty of snacks and hot sauces, so take a look around before heading out. One final thing I appreciated. They have a restroom and a sink stocked with soap. Trust me, you are going to get messy. That's part of the joy of eating here. If you're the kind of person who side-eyes people for eating with their hands, this might not be your scene. If you're willing to embrace the delicious chaos, Trinciti will reward you generously. I left full, happy, and wondering why I had let distance keep me away for so long. Some places are worth the drive. Trinciti is absolutely one of them.

My first time trying doubles AND my first time in Trincity. The line started all the way outside…read morewhich added to my anticipation. My Trini friend was shocked that I;ve never had doubles and so this day was my lucky day. When you reach, the servers take your order along with as many toppings and additions. They also had bake and shark, bake and saltfish, and other items to choose from such as dhal puri roti, pholourie with tamarind sauce, it was my first time so I didn't go too crazy and wanted to appreciate the essence of the doubles. I would go back again. It is takeout, so don't get too comfy. Make sure you're ready to grab your order and take that first bite after you leave or reach your destination!

I ordered a curry beef and I took one bite and the inside of my lip was still on fire 10 minutes…read morelater. When I complain, they say there's no way it can be spicy as everything is supposed to be mild. They don't take into consideration that the cook's spice tolerance might be higher due to them consuming a lot of spicy food so they can't tell when they've put too much spice. I could even see the high amount of pepper seeds in the curry compared to the previous times I've gotten it. The chicken curry is also often too spicy. Sometimes you get lucky and the chef working that day doesn't overload it with spice but it's rare. I see unsanitary behavior more and more often. People touching notepads and pens then using the same gloves to touch the fried chicken pieces and plantains. The notepad is on the same place they wrap the rotis. Then the lady taking cash goes to wrap a roti and uses her bare left hand to do it. Same hand touching money all day. The A rating doesn't mean much since restaurants get wind of when the inspector hits other restaurants and just tries to be on their best behavior then go back to being nasty after. Also, they use a shady tactic in which they make you wait longer so the line grows long and the store appears more crowded, making passerby think the store must be good for it to be crowded with so many people. They don't even try to hide it. When you order for delivery, the workers pack the food immediately so it sits there getting cold for 30 minutes until a driver picks it up. ZERO common sense. Today is the last straw that made me never order Sybil's again. I go in near closing and a worker is cleaning the steamtable bins with soap and water. You know how you place the steel containers of food on hot water. So they were cleaning the hot water basins with soap and water right at the table. The worker then uses a dry dirty cloth to wipe the soap clean, obviously there's going to be some dried soap residue still left since it was never fully rinsed with water. I've seen workers in the afternoon taking the stainless containers of food off the table, the dirty soapy water now on the bottom of the container dripping onto the other food as they lift it out. Wow. And you're ingesting parts of that everytime you eat.

It's a fairly large restaurant. We ordered cocktails, few tapas and the steak. I would've ordered another entree but they were out of dish after dish that I would've tried.. well it turned out to be enough food since the omelette dish was so dense and I filled up on bread. The best dish was the shrimp with garlic tapa which I usually wouldn't bother ordering but I've already tried most of the menu. Lots of garlic. Really tasty ..dipped the oil with the bread. We were sitting there for a while, waiting for our drinks and other food but nothing came out so I wanted more bread since I was starving. My first meal that day. One the guys brought more bread for us quickly. The steak and omelette finally came. I would never order the omelette dish but L wanted to try it and it was tapas Tuesday so there was a slight discount. Very bland. Not enough egg, too much potato, very dry so we spooned a lil of the garlic oil from the shrimp dish and it helped a lot. I had a lil but L ate the rest. Salad was good but it was overdressed. The steak was a lil bit bloody in the middle even though we ordered it medium so it wasn't as good as we had it before. We still didn't get our cocktails because the bartender lady kept making margaritas which were only $5 that day instead of our $17 drinks. Someone came past 7:30pm and our waitress said he was gonna make our drinks. The drinks were pretty good but we already finished our food. Usually I would have ordered one of each cocktail at Sala but I was full and had other places to go. The slow service and the unavailability of certain dishes has impacted my recommendation to others but I still like the drinks here and we did enjoy the gambas tapa dish a lot..
