This is my first time trying this tiny hole in the wall Dominican spot in Queens Village. It's takeout only with half the store front taken over by their juice/smoothie station. I went on a weekday afternoon and the place easily felt packed with only 5 patrons inside. You go up to the buffet station and order and pay in the way out. We got their roast chicken (best thing we ordered), stewed chicken, fried fish (was a bit dry) and bacalao. Each of the protein came with rice (white, yellow, beans and rice) and we added on plantains, yucca and corn. If you go during lunch you get an option to add on drink or salad - they were completely out of salad when we went. The food was decent for the price, which ranges from $10-15.

Heard good reviews about this place so I joined the wagon. Please note that it is a take out place only. I came here today to buy their famous rice and beans, not the meal, simply rice as per request by my family. We are doing bbq today to enjoy the remaining nice day ( probably the last ) before it starts getting cold. I bought 4 containers to take out. That's how much I want it. Additionally I bought the rotisserie chicken and plantain as well. We were not disappointed with the rice. I find their chicken a bit dry but flavorful. The plantain was good. I will come back to try the other meal they offer.

Man let me tell you this spot right here is the real deal when it comes to spanish comfort food puerto rican and dominican style for real everything tastes like home like something your abuela got cooking on the stove the rice the beans the pernil the pollo guisado everything seasoned to perfection full of that real flavor that hits your soul nothing fancy just pure good food made with love they even cut the fruit fresh right in front of you for the juices and smoothies you can taste how fresh it is the portion sizes are a straight up bang for your buck you get a full plate that'll have you eating good enough to share even or if you take it on by yourself get ready to unbutton your pants for a breath right after it's the kind of spot you walk into and the smell alone brings you back home this place is what spanish comfort food is supposed to be real food real people real flavor every single time

Didn't expect much but it seemed to have good reviews. The entire menu isn't available through Seamless but I wanted delivery so I used their services. Ordered their whole chicken twice so far and it's pretty good. Seasoned nicely, not ridiculously salty. Pernil is also not too salty, nor greasy. We ordered the steak sandwich expecting it to have plaintains instead of a roll so that was pretty disappointing. It was really plain, no sauce, just lettuce and tomatoes on a roll with a slice of American cheese... not what I expected since I saw a pic on Yelp with Patacones. Still it wasn't the horrible...make sure to ask for patacones if you order the sandwich

This place serves delicious Spanish food. The girl at the register is super sweet. However, I cannot say the same for the 2 ladies serving the food. They are mean and lack customer service.

All the locals line up for this delicious food, and it's so worth it! Delicious food, great prices, generous portion sizes, large variety of menu options, great customer service! They have a HUGE menu! (See my menu photos). Most items (not all) are premade, and kept in hot steamer tables, ready for your order. There are a few items that are made to order. Our mofongo took about 15 min for them to make, but we didn't mind. The entire staff is so friendly and accommodating. They took such great care in packaging our food. I was so impressed! Each item is overflowing the containers since the portions are very generous. They make sure to wrap each item individually, in plastic wrap, to avoid any kind of spillage. Don't waste any of the delicious juices and gravy! I really appreciated that the food didn't get spilled in the car before I got home! Kudos to the staff! We tried: -- Sancocho Soup ($11/Large): comes with a pint of white rice. Comfort food at it's best. Very good! -- Mofongo w.Pork ($10): comes with a small container of gravy. The Mofongo itself was a bit dry but good after you include some gravy. Very good and worth the wait! This was a great first experience and I can't wait to go back to try their goat stew, roast pork and other goodies. This restaurant is very busy, so the fast turnover for the food kept the dishes fresh and tasty. Rincon Dominicano is more of a takeout place but if you'd like to eat in, they do have about 10 stool seatings by the counter looking out of the window. Restaurant is very clean. So glad I finally made it here, and we shall be back to try other menu items!

People who work here are friendly and pleasant. Restaurant is more or less clean. There's a TV,…read morebut it's unobtrusive. The menu is extensive and fun. Fusion Spanish food. Has a lot of seafood as well as Dominican, Colombian, Mexican. Sadly, what we ordered pretty much sucked. Pernil: C+ Oh, God, it was dry. Dry, dry, dry. You get a very large portion of extremely dry meat with a "cap" of nicely crisped fat. The kind of crispy fat you'd expect from pernil. However, there is very little flavor (compared to my wife's pernil, which may be an unfair comparison, since her pernil rocks my world -- I would've married her for her pernil alone). Very little flavor, and dry, dry, dry. No pernil marinade (that I could taste). There was lime served on the side, but the pernil should be *cooked* with lime. Not enough fat. It was either vastly overcooked or reheated aggressively with dry heat. Tip to the chef: reheating things in a pan and sprinkling water on the meat yields much nicer meat than popping it in the microwave. Using a microwave to reheat meat never works. It overcooks the meat. I consider it inedible. Pollo Mexicano: C+ Similar problem as the pernil. It has a beautifully flavorful salsa, but the chicken was so dry that you have to choke down the chicken When you take a bite, it's difficult to get the chicken to go down your throat because it's bone dry. They vastly overcook the chicken and make the salsa separately. They then toss the bone dry chicken into the yummy salsa and you get cardboard chicken in a delicious salsa. I consider it inedible.

Celebrating my eldest graduating today we decided to try Casita RD , we always read so many reviews and it pops up on recommendations around social platforms. The food was great as well as the presentation of each drink and meal brought out to us I ordered the Oxtail with a side yucca mash with added cheese , the oxtail was extremely tender as it should be and the flavor was really well seasoned more on the savory tangy side that paired well with the velvety texture of the yucca mash , I added cheese to my mash however next time (because there will be a next) I would prefer without the cheese flavor of the mash was perfect as is ! My S/o ordered the Boca Chica which was a deep fried Snapper , I cannot really speak on how the flavor of that was but he finished it and was full and satisfied , he paired that with some yucca fries which were very filling . My children both had their own meals of fried chicken my son with fries he's pretty simple and my daughter chose the Moro , the Moro looked so good I asked if I could try some and I am so happy I did bc the Moro especially at a restaurant was flavorful and on point ! I was happy with the food we chose , our family friend ordered the mofongo with the chiccharon she had to have me try it because she said it was delicious and it was , the chiccaron paired with the creamy sauce was such a decadent pairing and not too much , for drinks we ordered a few items like the Morir sonando that was made with fresh pressed orange juice and tasted like one of the greatest creamsicles I can find and I had a Chinola juice , which was perfect not too sweet. my husband had a few drinks , I ordered the white wine sangria which also was strong and very delicious served with fresh fruit . For the ending of our meal we had the tres leches and the lava Cake , we aall shared although the lava cake baked fresh to order I wasn't a fan I prefer the tres leches . I had a more than happy food experience and state it again extremely happy with all the food choices we honestly ate so much that there's items I failed to even talk about bc they were just great but I will be coming back again soon ! I can strongly say even if I didn't try a item I could say it would be good and well prepared their service is great and the food and drinks are made to perfection
