I would like to express my deepest regret for using FB Express. Our family had planned a trip for months and based our decision on using this service on Yelp reviews. Unfortunately, these reviews were incorrect and we were promised a stress-free service that was not delivered. The packet filled out by the service was not done correctly and despite following up every week, we were told the passport was coming, but it never arrived. We had to hire a different service to get an emergency appointment and it wasn't until after we received the passport from this new service that we received a call back from FB Express. If we had waited for them, our whole family would have missed our vacation. They get the job done, but the customer service is lacking. I needed a form notarized, so I called in advance. A man who answered the phone asked if I wanted to come in that day. I said yes, and he told me to come by anytime. I showed up about one hour later, and I found the location just fine. It's located right on the corner of Rochester and Westwood. The space inside is very small--two desks and a handful of chairs. I walked inside, and no one greeted me. There was a woman sitting at a desk to the left and a man sitting behind a desk to the right. Also sitting at the desk to the right was some random dude. This guy was carrying on a very loud, very passionate conversation in another language. Everyone continued to ignore me, so I said, "I need something notarized, please." The woman asked for my ID and then had me fill out my own contact information in the ledger and then took my fingerprint. When that was finished, I asked for a wipe to get the ink off, and everyone ignored me again. The woman then walked me over to the man's desk where the other guy stayed seated (now next to me), carrying on his conversation as if I were not there. The woman then informed me that the man behind the desk was the notary. The notary told me where to sign and date, and I again asked for a wipe to get the ink off my thumb. The woman finally gave me a tissue, and I signed the form. The notary then took my form, did his thing, handed my form back to me and said, "You are done. You can pay her." Prior to using FB Express, I read some of these reviews and was bit concerned with the few negative feedbacks. Nonetheless in good faith I decided to give them a shot. Today after 3 weeks I received my sons passport and I am beyond pleased with their service. I submitted my own passport, end of March and received it in beginning of June. So their ability to get my sons in 3 weeks is commendable. We still had to postpone our trip, this had nothing to do with FB Express. So I came to FB express because I worked nearby and I saw their very high reviews on several business rating sites (including this one and another that rhymes with 'bloogle'). Seeing how I needed my passport in about a month and a half (way too close to call for the post office) I came to FB. I was greeted by Frank and he immediately gave me my options. I opted for the 8-10 day service because I didn't want to take the risk. This set me back $125, plus the $170 for the post office. Additionally, I needed a passport photo as well so I needed to add $10 to my total. Not exactly cheap, but if you need your passport in a hurry, you gotta pay the price. So how did my experience go? It couldn't have gone better. Frank is one of the nicest people I've ever met. Throughout the process he made sure to check everything that I was doing to make sure everything was right. Even though several people came in for his services as well, he never let anyone wait long.
