The guys who helped me totally understood and didn't pressure me to buy. As I was driving home...there was just something telling me...I should still buy that hat. So I turned around and went back for it. The staff was excited to see me back. And I took my strange but cool hat home. Turns out when I tried it on in the store I wasn't strapping it in correctly. Once I figured it out, it fit well. Tried it while stand up Paddleboarding yesterday and it was amazing! The hat blocked out all the sun. But also kept my head cool letting the breeze in. From the start, she was rude, combative, sarcastic, and unnecessarily aggressive throughout the entire process. Instead of simply helping resolve the issue professionally, I was met with attitude, condescending remarks, and an overall hostile demeanor that made the experience far more difficult than it needed to be. As a customer, I expect basic courtesy and professionalism -- especially from a company that prides itself on customer service and brand values. The exchange itself was straightforward, yet Maddie handled it in a way that felt confrontational and unwelcoming from beginning to end. It honestly left a terrible impression of the store and the company overall. After being a customer for nearly 30 years and a brand ambassador for this company, I truly never expected to be treated this way. If this is the type of people Patagonia chooses to employ to represent their brand, I do not believe I will be moving forward with purchasing their products in the future. It was such a pleasure to see so many potential home improvement projects, all in one place, and that all inspired a better way of living at our house. Our first project with the Eco Store was a gray water system to move abundant shower water out to our plants and gardens. That felt so good that we then did a second project with the Eco Store. They created a simple and affordable rain water catchment system that now gives us enough water to completely water all of our plants, gardens, and even our backyard grass areas! Now we've just completed a salt-free whole house home water filtration system that gives us high-quality drinking water throughout our whole house, and allows us to NOT have to dump salt into a tank every month. Working with Erica at the store is always a pleasure. She is super knowledgeable and very helpful. She makes a large variety of household soaps and sells them at the Eco Store. That makes it so we are re-using all of our plastic soap bottles! We've done a lot of home improvements at our house with various contractors. LeVon (owner) cares about your house, provides a professional installation, and seems to know everything about conserving energy and water at your house! Working with him is like having a good friend over your house. But when he leaves, you feel 100% better about your house, and how you are working with nature to support the house and it's water needs. I paid close to $200 for a pair of Hoka's that were supposed to have excellent arch support. They failed after 10 months. Manufacturer asked for numerous photos of the shoes as they had a 1 year warranty. Their reply was 'we see no unusual wear'. Arch support is internal and can be seen in photos. Even the employee of Mile 26 acknowledged an arch support issue. Very disappointed in Hoka's warranty support! No longer a Hoka customer or advocate!!
