I'm sorry but this place just sort of rubbed me the wrong way…read more let me say it is very clean and well organized and seems welcoming. but as you move among the shelves they seem overly stuffed and I had trouble actually pulling some cooking trays out to see their size. They were just wedged in too tightly. A lot of the items are cooking gadgets. nice things to spring on that cook you don't know what to buy for but in all honesty a lot of it was stuff I would probably laugh, use once then pop it in the back of the cupboard. There was also a sense that the prices were a bit high. I know the location has to justify its rent but I found backing trays i was looking for elsewhere at about 2/3rd's the price. Sorry, it's fun to look at and you might find a nice little gift for a friend who cooks when you stop buy but I wouldn't make a trip just to shop there.

I searched for some specific products at three major household stores. None could compare to Cookery. It is not just a retail store, but also a provider for almost everything you may need and a place to discover many many items that you probably never thought of. You can spend an hour going through all of the items and and find more. The staff is top notch and are ready to help you with your needs and provide suggestions of items you never knew existed or thought of. It is like a visit to a to a museum. Very enjoyable. In addition some of their items will make you smile. A "must stop" location in Peddlers Village.

Asked her for something she did not have in stock and she gave me a number to call for a different business nearby and told me about a few interesting places. Wide selection of Le Creuset, out of my price range but maybe someday. Some items that I haven't seen in places like Williams-Sonoma. Be careful, the store has a sign but it is subtle and very blue. It looks at first like you're walking up to someone's home but fear not behind the door is a cookware store.

The owner and his wife are super friendly and helpful. Never try to upsell you into something you don't need. If they don't have it, they'll get it for you. Came to get my knives sharpened, and asked when I could pick them up, and he literally gave me a time later that day! Such a great addition having them in the neighborhood. Highly recommend coming here for any kitchen needs you might have!

I came here during the holiday season looking for someone to repair a Chinese Cleaver (similar to a…read moreChefs Knife) that was damaged by my father when he was cutting a pork bone. For those who know, a Chinese cleaver is not a bone cleaver, it is used like a Chefs knife and cannot break through bone. The cleaver was heavily damaged and I was looking for a place to help me repair and sharpen the blade. Indulge Kitchen Supplies was one of the only places that responded and I am glad they did. The store itself is on a main street with a fair amount of street parking and the store is super cute. The store sells a variety of kitchen gear from different knives, cutlery, utensils, etc. Most of the curated items are modern and high quality such as Durelex glass and Global Knives. While their prices are a little higher than online prices, they have quality stuff and I recommend buying from them. Their knife sharpening and repair was a life saver for me. The Chinese Cleaver is a large knife and they were able to get it done for me in less than a day and it was fully repaired. Looking at the photos you can see that they took out all the dings on the knife and sharpened it back to the point where I could use it again. I highly recommend this service and would readily come back when I need any knife repair or sharpening.

Whisk a business I need in my neighborhood. My nearby housewares stores have closed…read more I shop here for gifts. I may not live nearby but I'm supporting NYC small business! Coming from someone that is allergic to egg whites I don't really own a Whisk for that purpose. I'm familiar with the product from my Mother and Daughter. They're the cooks. I found this store interesting since it's named after a single kitchen utensil. You can order from the company online. I purchase items for my daughter as gifts. After all she bakes for me. I see this as a local business. During the pandemic I find it best to support them by shopping on line. Our Home goods stores in my neighborhood have closed. I'm happy for those of you that live near Whisk. I learned a lot about this cooking utensil from this business. They have a wide selection of other quality products not just whisks. For your information: A Whisk is a cooking utensil used to blend ingredients smooth and to incorporate air into a mixture. The process is known as whisking or whipping. Most Whisks consist of a long, narrow handle with a series of wire loops joined at the end. The wires are usually metal, but some are plastic for use with nonstick cookware. Whisks are also made from bamboo. Those Swedes could make some bamboo whisks! Whisks are commonly used to whip egg whites into a firm foam to make meringue, and to whip cream into whipped cream. Whisks have different shaped loops depending on their intended functions. Since the 19th Century, various mechanical devices have been designed to make whisking more efficient, under the names egg beater and rotary mixer. Until I started looking for a gift I had no idea there are so many varieties of whisks. I have used an egg beater for mashed potatoes! Any serious chef has a wide variety of Whisks in their kitchen. I'm not one anymore. I shop for gifts. This is a one of a kind store. They carry a large selection of merchandise. They sharpen knives too!
