It offers a lot of home goods and foods such as oils (vinegar, balsamic vinegar, fig Balsamic vinegar), pasta Noodles, fresh cheeses, Jams, Honeys and so much more! Inside the store, Fourchette provides sample size cups for you to taste test the oils! It's a lot of fun! There are a few cheese tasting classes that you can sign up for online on their website for the Fourchette Red Bank location! This place is sooooo cute! Service is great Things are expensive lol Balsamic and olive oil is so good! Loved the combo (blood orange olive oil and green apple balsamic vinegar). We ended up getting the chili olive oil and balsamic vinegar. The chili oil has a good kick and soooo good. Also really good with the reg balsamic vinegar. I feel like if we stayed longer and tried more I would've wanted one of each. They sell cute cards and everything they sold was so cute. Tried a cheese and it was also really good. If I'm in the area again I think I'll def buy more. Also got the basil mustard and was surprised by it in a good way. Accidentally got two of the same but I'm sure we'll use it up quickly. Love the quality of cheeses- unfortunately did not realize that all labels are 1/2 pound prices- I feel like an idiot having told the Owner that his cheeses are so much better and less costly than Wegmans and I told some customers when I was there as - well I feel like a real doofus. I first fell in love with Fourchette in Beach Haven, on LBI, this past summer. When it came time to craft the Covid Thanksgiving menu for two, I knew without question that I would make the 30 mile pilgrimage from our home to Clinton, to acquire an assortment of the best cheeses in NJ. Though hubby and I were masked, Brahim greeted us with smiley eyes and recognized us immediately. Customer service at its best. The boutique is well stocked with gifts galore for everyone on your list. It's a one stop shop, truly. From--my favorite--Lafco candles, to artisan cutting boards, cheese boards, olive oils, textiles, and other exquisite one-of-a-kind items. The balsamic and olive oil tasters are the best, but dangerous. You end up wanting them all ! The cheese selection is exceptional. While I now live over 100 miles away from Forchette, for 5+ years, I've ordered an assortment of cheeses as a holiday gift for a friend and her family who lives in the area. Each year, I call and explain the gift and the budget. A shopkeeper helps guide me through the recommendations/assortments. I wrap up the purchase with a credit card taken over the phone. The friend then picks it up from the store when it is ready. She and her family are always so excited about the gift assortment. Plus, I get to support shopping 'local.' I wish I could say this year was the same kind of experience. Regretfully, I cannot. I called this year and spoke with Dianna. After explaining what I've done yearly, she says, "We don't cut cheese to order over the phone. You have to come into the store." I remind her I live 100 miles away, and this hasn't been an issue in the past. She follows that up with, "We don't take credit cards over the phone." Ok, but I could place an order with a credit card over the phone this same time last year. After a pause from me, she tells me to "check the Internet. You have to go to our website." I understand that we are all very busy these days, but I was so disappointed with Dianna's approach. I recall Fourchette as a store where the cheesemongers loved cheese and were happiest when their customers left feeling that way, too. I hope my recent interaction is a fleeting exception. If not, then the love of cheese has been replaced with the love of efficiency at Fourchette. read more

My new Culinary School classmate lives near by and took me, along with two other classmates here because of their vinegars and olive oils. We were greeted warmly by, Abrahim, the owner (I believe), who immediately prepared sample combinations of his olive pulls c and vinegars. For example, he vikings combined a rosemary infused olive oil with a white pear balsamic vinegar...Flavor explosions in the mouth! He also did a peach balsamic vinegar with a basil infused olive oil, delicious! There's so much more in the store! Pepper mills, table clothes (from France), gourmet salts, peppers, and other spices. There were the most adorable picnic baskets! Then, there's the cheese! We did a sampling of four different cheeses, each tasting complex, rich, and of high quality. All of his cheeses are imported from Europe with the exception of one made in the US. Throughout a samplings, Abrahim was a gentleman, serving ladies first. He ended our cheese sampling with a decadent chocolate almond. At the end of my fabulous visit, Abrahim gave my classmate and I a free sample of honey roasted pecans! I purchased the rosemary infused olive oil, white pear balsamic vinegar, and some Roquefort blue cheese. This place is pricey ($15 per bottle), but the quality of the products helped me make my purchases guilt free. Fourchette is far from where I live, but I'm come out here again to pay a visit and check out the quaint stores in the area. read more

I used to live in Clinton and was pretty pleased when my best friends, who live in a neighboring town, sent me a local news article about Fourchette. So I called to see if they have gift certificates. They do. I ordered one from the very nice woman, who is also part of the husband wife owner team, to be sent to my friends. Two things earn "I'm a fan" review, although my experience was virtual through the ordering of the gift certificate. The first is how friendly the owner was to do business with for the ordering of same. The second is my friends said "Woohoo" about their visit here for how friendly the owners were, how much they were able to first sample the excellent cheeses, of which they then bought several to take home, and the assortment of other specialty items in the store. For example, a stellar collection of balsamic vinegars of which they are also very fond, as well as an intriguing selection of both cooking and finishing salts, lovely table linens and slate serving boards for cheese. From the names of the cheeses my friends said they purchased, I can tell Fourchette deals with artisan cheesemakers. I've enjoyed all of those same brands myself either by purchasing at our local cheese purveyors and even directly at the farms in some cases. Good things all from people focused on getting it right. As heads up for locals in Clinton area (you lucky folks to live in that neat little town), ask the Fourchette folks about their cheese pairing events. My understanding of how this works is for a mere $12, they'll provide cheeses to go with the bottle of your own wine you bring in to sip in the store. My husband wanted to know if I wanted to move back to Clinton since our purchases at this store would definitely help support Fourchette. Well. I do love Clinton. But since moving isn't an option, a Yelp review is the next best thing. Note from photos of the shop, it seems it is not accessible to people with disabilities who can't navigate the steps up to it. Since I am one of those people, I have MS, I notice the exclusion and it is worth pointing out. Since Fourchette's owners likely do not own the building in which they opened, this may not be their issue to correct. But, boy howdy, it sure is discouraging. read more

I've been stopping into Fourchette every few weeks for a year or two now and cannot say enough good things about the shop. I go primarily for the cheese, the variety and quality that Fourchette provides is really unrivaled. The owner is incredibly friendly and knowledgeable, he is always happy to make suggestions based on preferences, offer samples, etc. Beyond cheese, Fourchette has a healthy olive oil and vinegar selection and the quality of both is excellent. Again, samples are available and the store has some suggested flavor pairings. Some are combinations that I'd never think of but always end up being delicious. There is also a fairly large home section. I'm a little less familiar with this section but from what I've seen, all the items are well curated and of very high quality. I especially like the olive wood bowls and utensils. read more

Fourchette is a wonderful addition to Main Street Clinton. This shop is small town pride at its best. All of the products are sourced carefully and tastefully...from the wonderfully pungent cheeses to the variety of oils, vinegars, and salts. The displays are fantastic; there's obviously a lot of attention to detail there. While the shop is relatively small, it's so inviting and cozy and interesting that I could easily spend an hour in there looking at and sampling all the products. The shop owner is incredibly nice and is obviously proud of his shop. He adds a lot to the welcoming atmosphere of the store. This is one place that, once you walk in and spend a little time inside, you just end up loving it and wanting it to succeed. What a gem. The French guy who works there is awesome! Not too snooty. He let me, someone just getting into nice cheeses, and knows nothing, try almost every cheese he could have. All except the individually waxed ones. He was knowledgeable. Made me feel like he was happy to have us in the shop. The selection was only about 10 types of cheese. He told me one or two of them he switches weekly. Everything was the best cheeses I had ever tasted. The only thing was the place is difficult to find due to the various main streets. I stopped in here for the first time the other day, just to browse, and left with all sorts of goodies! This little shop is PERFECT for Clinton and I really hope they do well. They have a wonderful selection of cheese, deeeeelicious balsamic vinegars, salts, olive oils....all of which you can sample before purchasing. We also picked up some shallot confit which went so nicely with the cheese. I am so happy that this shop is in town now. It's not inexpensive, you are definitely getting what you pay for. We had the Peach Balsamic on our chicken and salads last night and it was divine. The owners were friendly and helpful. They told me that on Fri and Sat nights, they have a BYOB where (for $12) they will pair up cheeses for you. That sounds like a perfect date night to me! The cheese options are great, the staff is knowledgeable and helpful describing the various choices, with samples...I got all of the ones I tasted. They reminded me of all the wonder cheeses we had in France. I got beautiful wooden spoons and table cloth runners. They had nice napkins and tea towels too.
