Overall a good experience at The Feast! Parking lot is large and entrance lines are separated by parties 4 or less and parties larger than 4 which makes it more efficient to pay. We came a few minutes before noon (their opening time) on a Sunday afternoon. I highly recommend coming a bit early because they were already letting people in and by 12:30, there was a definite line and restaurant looked full. They had an area for tables that sat around 4 people and then a different area that held larger parties. Cost is $35.99/adult with tip and drinks a part of the price. Overall a great value. I honestly expected the place to be bigger but it is a nice sized restaurant. Parts of the buffet definitely had some congestion. The food we enjoyed: the stir fried lobster, the grilled oysters, pea shoots, and sashimi were our favorites. The boba ingredients and ice cream cooler were great. The kalbi was flavorful but the meat was a bit tough. Average: shrimp cocktail, soups, and standard Chinese stir fries. Freshly made crepes only included whipped cream. Misses: dungenous crabs were dry and old, dumplings were meh, cakes were dry. We saw but didn't taste: the noodle bar, Mongolian Bbq, drink bar, shaved ice, cotton candy. Lots of choices that are beyond the "typical " Chinese buffets. Service was great. She continually came by to clear our plates. Bathrooms are a bit small for a large restaurant. They have the restaurant split into buffet sections. There is Dim Sum, Sushi, Desserts, Hibachi, a place where you can order Pho or Ramen, an area with rice and Lo Mein, etc. For $36 a person, I think the most value is had in the sushi section. Instead of having to commit to a single roll, I enjoyed being able to try one of everything. Now for the Minnesota nice, yet honest, part of the review: I know how tricky temperature regulation is in a buffet, so I want to give grace, but unfortunately they failed. The cold things were actually cold (yay), but of the foods I tried, the ones that were supposed to be fried, like the wontons, were soggy and "hot" foods like rice, cheese sticks, and some of the meats were cold (prime rib, pork belly). Asian AYCE with an insane variety for the price. It's a non-tipping establishment and at $36/adult, it's a pretty good deal for AYCE plus unlimited premium N/A beverages. It gets very busy and there often is a wait to get seated. Upon entering, there are two lines: one for parties of 4 or less, and one for parties of 5 or more. There is a 10% military discount available as well. -- The sushi is decent for a buffet, but not as good as other sushi restaurants. -- They have dim sum staples. The sticky rice tastes just as good as normal dim sum. The shrimp dumplings have good flavor but the wrapper is a little mushy. Don't miss the chili oil located near the lobster on the other side of the buffet! The shu mai is decent. -- The lobster is flavorful and sliced into small chunks. There is someone that will dish the lobster onto your plate. There is a box of gloves across from the lobster that make it so much easier to get the meat out. -- The garlic sauteed pea tips are incredible. -- The galbi short rib is SO flavorful! One of the best bites here. -- There is a build-your-own hibachi bar where you choose your noodles and toppings and they'll cook it for you. There is also made to order pho and ramen. It takes a few minutes for them to cook the pho but the broth is flavorful and pretty dang delicious for a buffet, definitely better than some pho restaurants I've been to. The portion is generous, around half the size of a standard bowl you would get at a restaurant. There are no traditional soup spoons that can hold a lot of broth available. -- For dessert, there are crepes and cotton candy made to order. You can also get shaved ice and top it with a variety of sauces, jellies, and boba. The taro tapioca dessert is so comforting. There is a cooler with pre-packaged ice cream, and a variety of dished desserts and mochi donuts. -- All beverages besides beer are included in your buffet fare. There is a coffee machine that can make drinks like lattes, hot tea, fountain beverages, and a cooler of packaged soft drinks such as soy milk, iced teas, and milk teas. A very popular restaurant & we can definitely understand why. The restaurant is absolutely beautiful inside. The decor is very high end & everything was very clean. They sat us in a sort of back room & it was kind of cold. Next time I will request to sit out in the main area as the ambiance is much better & more warm. Servers were very friendly & quick to clear plates. Not sure how much they make but make sure you bring some cash to tip them if you have good service. This was the best buffet experience that I've had in MN and I'm a local. The line for tables looked long, but they have a good system to keep it moving. The wait was worth it. They have a great selection of hot food, drinks (included), sushi, salad bar items and dessert. The buffet was kept very clean. Service was really good with servers being attentive and cleaning plates on the regular. The place is large, but sectioned off well so it's not super noisy even when it's busy. SO MANY people there! I didn't try this newish restaurant right away because I heard the wait was crazy no matter what. Today, my friends and I arrived 10 minutes before opening, but they had already started letting people in to eat. Arriving earlier than the opening time is definitely my tip! I was impressed by the variety of food: made-to-order noodles, hibachi, crepes, sushi, seafood, dim sum, unlimited drinks, and fancy desserts! The food tastes good for a buffet. Heard about this new buffet and gave it a try this last weekend. They have a large parking lot that surrounded all around the building. Lines got long around lunch time. They do have staff fixing and maintaining lines to get in and out orderly. Service was friendly and helpful. Staff person mentioned theres a two hour limit. We were given a circle that has two sides green for still eating and red for stopping. When you get into past the entrance, the main check in/pay desk is front and center. The waiting lobby area is large. You'll be assigned a number. Once called ans seated you are open to explore all the food stations. Thr do have a mini claw machine/game area near the front of sea ood station. Overall, glad to see a more diverse list of buffet options in the twin cities area. Space was large and clean. For the value this place was a level above its competitors. Parking gets to be a bit tight on busy days, so expect a bit of a wait as there are no reservations. Environment was nice, but can't give this 5 stars. A few of the cubbies with plates were never restocked so everyone had to go to the same areas creating a traffic jam to get a plate. The teppanyaki area was not continuously filled (no onion, bean sprouts, etc...) so you could only put a few items on the plate before giving it to the chef. There isn't a lot of space in between the walkways when it is busy. The things that I thought made this trip stand out was the pho, mochi donuts, shaved iced, and boba milk drinks. After receiving numerous hype from my family (who absolutely adores buffets), I finally gave in and went with them to check this place out. I was then greeted with a long line, which could be good or bad depending on how you view it. Waited for 10 minutes which wasn't horrible. During the wait, I had the opportunity to look around and noticed that the establishment looks very nice and more modern than a typical buffet--pretty good change of scenery. After we were sat, I had the chance to try some food: stir fry noodles, French fries, chicken wings, black pepper chicken, general tso's chicken ramen, beef and broccoli, and various dessert. Fried chicken was one of my favorites, it was very good and crunchy. Fries weren't bad at all (had worse), pepper chicken was very good. A+ for the unique meats offered, such as steak, pork belly, and ribs: all were very delicious and tender. I do love the unique beverage options they provide, from bottled drinks and homemade boba from the fridge to your classic self-pour fountain drinks. I do want to say it was a little difficult maneuvering throughout the buffet, due to space and tightness. We were also sat just outside of the pathway/food trays so as soon as I stand up, I'd need to watch out for other patrons like traffic. In terms of food itself, it would be 3 stars, because none of the items that they offered were spectacular. However, the fact that there are so many options available, and not just any options, good options like galbi, sashimi, crab legs, and more, made it a 4 stars experience for me. For the items they serve, the price is reasonable. Some of my favorite items include the steak, which was very tender, the "Buddha Jumps Over the Wall" soup, which was more plain and liquidy than the typical kind you'd get in Asia, and the galbi, which wasn't the best but still good enough as far as short ribs go. In addition to all this, they had many seafood options ranging from Cajun style to Chinese style, coffee and tea, mochi donuts, shaved ice, crepes, pho & ramen bar, and more. It really felt like they had everything available. This is probably the most comprehensive buffet place that I have been to, granted I have not been to a lot of buffet spots in general. While I don't think I will return because my stomach is too small for buffet in general, I will say that if people ask me for buffet recommendations, I will mention this establishment for sure. Every foodie in the area has been hearing about Feast for the last 2 weeks. We tried to come last week and they were suddenly closed the entire weekend, so my friends and I decided to try again this week. The interior is really nice! The booths are comfy and they clean up your plates pretty quickly. If you don't like seafood, I would say skip this place because about 75% of the items are seafood. The price has also gone up since last week already, so expect to pay $40 after taxes. They have some really good items, like their lobster. Their clams and short ribs were also pretty good. The sushi was mid, but worth a try. I REALLY enjoyed their drink selection, almost to a fault. I had maybe 4 drinks. While we were there, a bunch of people formed lines around all the items to get to the high ticket foods, but the staff came out at one point and told us that wasn't necessary, and if you want the lobster, just walk straight up and grab it. Not sure why the lines are always there. Probably wouldn't come back soon because the food options weren't very plentiful, but the things they had were pretty good. This place is very cool! There is a ton of seating, and the food is layed out in what feels like a fancy casino buffet. My only complaint here is that the lanes are fairly narrow, so it makes it hard to fit too many people down one lane without getting stuck. There is a huge island for desert, there are boba drinks, 4 kinds of noodle soup, a grill, and sushi. But no flavor. Similar to Golden Coral. Sushi and hibachi, but this is also common. The decor is top notch. Con Everyone is in line. For what? Just pick what you want and leave. Getting 2 piece of Prime Rib is like a crime. They already cut a thin slice. Simple fried rice just looks terrible. Soup? With two options, no egg drop? Nasty food. Definitely worth the experience! We got seated immediately and the staff were extremely nice from the get go. I really enjoyed the options they provided and usually I don't really go for sushi options at buffets but their selection was extremely fresh and tasted amazing. I really loved that they provided what ingredients the rolls had due to my own restrictions so that unexpected accommodation was super appreciated. Their drink selection ranged from soda, boba and teas so it there were a lot to choose from! Their desserts were even pretty to look at, I was glad their mochi dessert wasn't too too sweet but super soft and I'm coming back to try the crepe and shaved ice station. They do have a cotton candy machine but it was down when we went. They did serve lobster and dungeness crab but it's not fresh at all. The first few pieces of the lobster were ok but after that it was all mushy. Servers are constantly going around to take away dirty dishes which I appreciate because the plates for buffet is a lot smaller than other places, felt more like dessert plates. Loved the variety of the bottled drinks, keep in mind the date on the bottle is manufactured date and not expiration date. On the label in English states it has a shelf life of 12 months. A lot of consideration went into the decor of the dining area; it's a really beautiful place. The staff are attentive and friendly. The food was fresh, when it was available. I appreciated all the different drinks available. So many different bottle teas to try. There's even a coffee machine, though I did hear some lady saying it wasn't working for her. The seats are comfortable and the seating area feels spacious, except for the seats right by the food area. You are already maneuvering around other people in walking past them but you also have to avoid the people who sit right there. Also, the plates. They are in shelves under the food buffets but I think that might be an issue for people with back problems or people who can't bend in general. I had anticipated this new spot to be so much more from the hype but honestly, the food was mid. There's a strong emphasis on seafood dishes so if seafood is your thing, this is the place for you. The tag line in promos said it was high-end and buffet-style meals on individual plates rather than self-serve trays, I didn't really see that. Definitely lots of buffet trays of stir fries and mixed dishes--there's nothing wrong with that. It's a buffet, let it be a buffet. I don't think the individualized plates here would work if they did have it. There was a long line outside of the building before noon on a weekday and another short line inside after you're let in. It wasn't an incredibly long wait. There's a ton of seating so I assume the wait is due to issues around the food arena, coupled with the close seating around it and the bottleneck area over by the dim sum corner. It's one line only so if you're trying to get anything in the area across from dim sum, you have to wait in the dim sum line anyway cause there's no where else to go and everyone seems to be waiting for the seafood dishes there. I appreciate that there's a variety of dishes that you may not find at your typical buffet but often the trays were emptied out, especially the seafood. And if you're waiting forever for the line to move and by the time you get there the trays are empty, is it really worth it? I don't know how different the food is in the evenings or on the weekends. We went the first day with a group of 11. We got there at 5 and not too busy but picked up after 6. They can accommodate big groups. It looked like it was a successful grand opening. This is a self serve Buffett, you have to get your own utensils and napkins. There are employees there that take away your plates. Food was good, big selection. The sushi bar stood out and for me was what shined. The fish was fresh and good quality. You can see the chefs preparing the sushi. This buffet caters more to Asian taste buds as they don't have the usual pizza there but they did have chicken fingers. The lobster goes quick as soon as it comes out so be patient. So here is my pros and cons from my visit at Feast Pros: * The restaurant has plenty of parking, which made arriving easier despite the crowd. * The decor is modern and inviting, and I liked the small game room for guests. * The hibachi and soup stations had no line, which was a nice break from the chaos. * They offer paid to-go options, which could be convenient. Cons: * The wait times added up quickly: 10 minutes outside, 10 minutes to the counter, and another 10 minutes before getting seated which should get better as time goes on. * The layout creates a bottleneck since food is only accessible from one side, leaving about 20 people stuck waiting with no staff guidance. * Many food stations, like sushi, weren't restocked in a timely manner, leaving very limited choices. * Some labels on the food were incorrect, which could cause issues for guests with dietary needs. * The hibachi line moved slowly, some ingredients were still frozen, and the chefs had to share sauces--mine ended up with Mongolian sauce I didn't want because the other chef reached over to grab and put on his side of the grill for another customer. * By the time you get through the lines, much of the food is already cold. * The young lady bussing tables was struggling to keep up, and overall service felt uncoordinated. * At $31.99 per person, the experience didn't feel worth the price at this stage. * Parking spaces were small and exiting the lot felt like navigating a maze. Overall: The restaurant has a nice look and some potential, but it feels like the focus on cramming in more seating took away from the customer experience. With so many issues lines, food not replenished, and cold dishes, I left feeling underwhelmed. I didn't think I would like this place because it is all you can eat. But it surprises you, they have a fantastic array of options. I liked everything I tried and I loved the idea of taking one small piece. Everything was delicious! My favorite was homemade crepes which I filled with pudding and fresh fruit. They do a fantastic job with all of the different foods. Staff is very helpful. Try it at least once, otherwise you will never know what you missed. read more

Was really excited to try this new restaurant but left disappointed. Atmosphere, decor, lighting and seating were very modern and chic. Staff was staffing, not overly accommodating but efficient and friendly enough. Buffet was stocked well, sushi was fresh and plentiful. The hot foods was where it went downhill, many dishes were lukewarm and tasteless. Which is better than overly salty but at almost $40 a person and no salt or pepper on the table it was hard to swallow. Noodle dishes didn't have options and came pre-prepared which is fine but sauce options are minimal. Hibachi meats were tough in texture, while sauces are also premade they also lacking in flavor and variety. There were seafood options but they were dry and overcooked. The lobster and prime rib are guarded and dished out by a server. The crab rangoons were interesting and would not recommend. Desserts were plentiful and once again while there were many options to choose from, a sliver of dry cake was not hitting the spot. They had individual ice creams and drinks that were a nice touch. Mochi donuts were good. The fresh made to order crepes were honestly the star of the show. There's a cute little vending machine area if you're waiting for a seat but if you're looking for something great, this isn't it. read more
