TL:DR Rude staff seems to thrive on wasting customers' time. No passport photos I came in for a passport photo. As always happens here, I had to wait like 10-15 minutes. Once my photo was taken, it would not upload to their system to print. The guy who took my photo had already complained about a colleague changing the camera settings/doing a factory reset on the camera. I offered to come back in an hour. He said to do that or call. I was planning to drive by and figured it would take less time to just stop in. (Given the wait times, I would have probably arrived by the time I got off hold.) When I returned, there was no one in line, yet I waited like 10 min. I asked if the camera had connected to the system, and they had to check. Apparently, no one had bothered to look into this. Rather than someone checking, two of the staff members started yelling at each other about who did what with the camera. One of them sort of seemed to check. Alas, I got the impression that the person looking into it would not know what to do with an automatic update on her own phone. This continued for several minutes without anyone really addressing me. Several people who were waiting in line left. Finally, I asked if there was any chance of getting the photo, they confirmed there was not. Then the guy who took my photo walked in and got snippy with me, "I told you to call!" I walked out. When I initially arrived the first time, I also did a package drop-off. Because I couldn't get the packaging slip to print, my package had to be manually returned. It would have taken less time to return it at Somerset. read more

The store manager seemed nice and I was happy that a team member came around to take care of me when he saw how annoyed I was that the old woman in front of me was droning on, asking a thousand questions, saving me valuable time. However, my real issue is with the preorder. I emailed a print job and called to confirm they received it and when I could pick up the order. The woman on the phone "helped me," telling me it'd take them a day to get it ready (seemed too long, but w.e.) and that was it. I instructed her to use the cheapest stock paper they had, as it's a new business and I need to keep costs down. When I arrived my copies cost my over $56 dollar and was printed on glossy (film like) paper. I didn't have the time or temperament to have them reprint, but it just goes to show how the company will take advantage of customers where and when they can. NOT GOOD. read more

Had no issues with the workers yesterday (3/24) when I packaged up my return items (at the self scan table) with the prepaid shipping label from the manufacturer of my items. I handed my package to one of the workers and told her all I needed was a FedEx shipping label sleeve as I already scanned the package myself. She said "No problem I got it" and I was on my way. I then go today (3/25 at 4:30 PM) for two more packages - same deal, had a prepaid shipping label already and used the boxes that were available under the self scan service. I didn't scan them this time because I needed two of the sleeves for the shipping labels and figured I just handle it at the front desk with the workers. This woman (middle aged, glasses, bob haircut with bangs) first makes a comment how she's "never going to get caught up" and then before even saying "hi" to me says "you used the wrong box, you're not doing Express" and points to where I need to purchase a box. I explain to her I was confused because I dropped this off yesterday to a woman who didn't tell me this. She made a comment that I likely "just dropped it and ran". No, I didn't do that, your fellow coworker didn't say anything about the box type and likely realized that I used the incorrect box by mistake and didn't feel the need to crucify me for it. I told her no, she then said "well you can purchase a box" and I said that didn't make sense as I was returning this to a store with a prepaid label that already took money back from my purchase just to ship it back to them. I told her the bag they originally shipped my items in was torn up and wouldn't work in the first place. Not to mention, THIS IS JUST A BOX, and the fact that I already sealed the boxes and would've just wasted them per her orders made no sense to me...she could've easily said, "I'll ship it out in this box this time, but just so you know for next time you will need to provide your own shipping container or purchase one." Because THAT would've been good customer service instead of just staring at me and accusing me of lying. To top it off, I grab the boxes and start to leave because clearly this was a mistake on my part she was not willing to let go despite it easily being overlooked for one time and then yells at me, "oh so you're just going to go to another store and just drop and run there, okay" as I am walking towards the door. No, ma'am, I am just really confused why this was such a big deal when it was clearly a mistake and could've been looked past in that moment and then I wouldn't have made it again moving forward. I didn't want to stand there being accused of lying by you, so I left to handle it elsewhere. Completely unprofessional and left me feeling like I had done something malicious when I hadn't - it was just a mistake about A BOX. Clearly she is not cut out for this job and needs to look elsewhere because that was unbelievable and could've been handled entirely better. read more

Lazy clock watching employees. Hostile and reluctant to offer assistance. Customer service is non-existent and the mere suggestion of it seems to be an insult to the staff. Went in 15 minutes before close to print one document and was yelled at upon entry "we closed!!!". If Fedex wants to maintain any kind of brand integrity it would close this location or fire the incompetent rude staff and start over. Incompetent, lazy, and aggressively rude. Since this is close to my home, I go to this place whenever I have extra printing or shipping needs (usually my home printer and post office fit my needs). I had the pleasure of going on a Saturday around noon over the weekend. The staff there are incredibly friendly and sweet, it the service is SO SLOW. I had to Overnight a envelope of stuff. I am usually jealous when I have to go to the Kinkos side because the Fed Ex customers are in and out while I am stuck waiting for all eternity for a few copies. This time, though, I had the pleasure of waiting to have someone help me at the FedEx counter. I get it; it's Saturday. But holy moly, it took 15 minutes to get someone to help me (of course there were 2 people ahead of me). As soon as someone got to the counter, everything went smoothly and quickly. But I swear i waited so long in line that I had to switch from two day delivery to overnight. read more

I've been in this location multiple times, as I have a client nearby, and therefore it's a convenient stop. Staff are cheery and helpful, and when I've had to check something on a computer, or print something from a document on one of their computers, the desktops there are always clean and in good working order. Shipped from here twice; both times it was a no-muss, no-fuss experience. In between (their door is 20 yards from the other doors, across a small parking area) a Panera Bread and Qdoba, in the instance you need some body fuel for the day. read more

I currently work around this area, and routinely set up workshops requiring multiple posters & cardstocks to be printed. My team and I often work 80 hour weeks and finalize posters for these presentations the night before. 3 times now I have sent documents (~20 large posters, ~100 cardstock cards) around midnight to this FedEx, and they have always been able to have everything ready by 7am the next morning! Additionally, one night staff member, Tom, is always helpful and friendly. Given my team's work hours & pressure, I am very glad to have reliable & quick service from this FedEx and great + polite service from Tom. read more

My experience was fine. I came to buy a poster tube to transport my poster. While I was inside, every other customer was furious because of some error made by the staff or the failure of some file to fax or print. Some of the staff were helpful, other people were mercurial, to say the least. I had to make an exchange today - as my poster was downsized - and it went smoothly, if not a little bit slowly. They are open 24 hours, so if you are on a serious deadline, don't despair! There are 2 parking lots. Use the one off of Woodward. Entering from 14 mile is a nightmare if there's any traffic. read more

If I could I would give them negative 5 stars. This location employs the laziest most incompetent staff. The two girls that work on Friday midday don't have a clue what they are doing. I ordered a print job through the app and they had no idea how to access it. This was after waiting in line for about 20 minutes at the full service printing desk. There is virtually no other staff here and they need to fire the two wastes of space they have currently. I have been to this location multiple times and it's the same service every time. I sent a print job online when I arrived to pick up my order there was one person in front of me being helped by a VERY slow employee. There was another employee at a computer, dowing who knows what as the line continuted to grow. 15 minutes later I was still in line (remember I was next to be helped) 20 minutes later I turned around and left. The next morning I went back. A woman asked if she could help me asked my name 3 times. I told her that I put the order in last night and she very rudely and with attitude replied "I'm just trying to find out where your job is we have a lot of things back here" then once she found my job she asked another employee to come over and ring me up which took 2 seconds because I had pre-paid for my order. Staff generally seems pleasant, but have regular issues with their ground cutoff time. They don't follow the posted 6 pm​ ground cutoff, plan to be there by 5:30/5:45 pm if you want your packages to ship that day as they're too preoccupied and uninterested in helping, even though the ground pickup driver is still there loading up. I've gotten there at 5:55 pm​, seen the pickup driver standing by, but the staff told me flat out "sorry, too late" as they went about their business at the printers and didn't want to step away to scan packages and help it go out. Southfield and BOTH Troy locations are VERY accommodating​, so go there if you have a last minute packages. Staff at those locations have even asked the driver to wait a few minutes for me to unload, and go above and beyond to help with "can-do" attitudes. The 14mile/Woodward team could care less. read more

After having to reroute a package to this location as a result of multiple delivery delays, I went to pick it up after it finally arrived at the store and was greater by a very rude woman named Jan(?) who started yelling at me about shipping dangerous and hazardous materials to them. When I informed her that it was the FedEX website that allowed me to reroute the package there after they failed to get it to me on time she continued to basically accuse me of having something dangerous sent to them. Apparently they can't have anything with a battery sent to that facility. So if your shipping a phone, wireless headphones, Bluetooth speakers, laptops, tablets...pretty much any modern electronic device avoid using any FedEX store I guess. If Jan had tried to perhaps explain things with a while lot less attitude perhaps I would have let this go. But FedEX already was several days late delivering my package and this was the final straw. The only help she offered when I asked how I was supposed to get my package after she sent it back was to give me the FedEX 1-800 number. Thanks Jan! Wow. If you go here beware of Tom. He has major attitude and was incredibly rude when I called and inquired about a print job. He abruptly told me that I would need to call back to confirm he had received my emailed order, rather than calling me. He told me to include my phone number on my email, which I did. I waited for ten minutes and called back to confirm. He answered the phone and immediately accused me of not including my phone number on the email, which I did. I told him I had and he could not accept that. I then sent a screenshot of the email, all the while thinking, "why am I having to prove this??" Anyway, If he needed my phone number so badly then why did I have to call him to confirm the order? Wouldn't it be the other way around? Or couldn't he have pleasantly asked for my number when I called back?? The whole thing was awkward and aggressive. He finally admitted he saw my number once he got the screenshot. Lordy. Not the best... dear Cherie helped save the situation, but still no good. I came in to get a rough estimate of my printing job which was ~$195, but was kindly explained to that I need to submit my files and request online to get a more accurate quote, which I did. Once I sent the design files, Jeremy from the location called to clarify a question I had. I wasn't understanding how he was asking the question, so he raised his voice with me. Once we cleared that up, I got a call letting me know my job was done and ready to be picked up. When I went to go get it, my total was $214! I never received a quote, it was printed on the wrong weight paper, one side was printed crooked, and the edges were frayed. Not the best situation for a job for my business. They gave me a discount, but still was shotty quality. read more

I go here a lot. I use the self serve copier/printers. I have tried to do other things here but the staff just ignores you and doesn't seem to want to help. Today I walk it and they are renovating. I find the self serve copier that I have used many times and it won't take my credit card. I try another one and nothing. I end up trying every one and everyone says it can't read my card. After waiting for 10 minutes to get someone's attention they attempt to help me. The person helping me has no clue about anything. Walks away for a good five minutes and when she comes back tells me it's because I have a PNC Card and the machines have trouble reading them. I have used this card there many times. She asks if I have cash (not sure why cash is different than using a card there) I say not enough cash for the amount of copies I need. I had to walk out without my copies, with no help and they lost the $50 I was going to spend. Never going back. read more

Find another place for your printing needs! The staff was rude and location did not do a good job. I dropped off USB with 15 files to be printed. Associate complained that she would have to click on all the files to open separately and that it would take 24 hours. She complained again when I requested them to each be stapled. I requested them to be printed doubled sided as well. When I picked up the order they were not double sided and I was charged for each sheet. They were not in order and not all were stapled. The absolute worst service ever, if you value your time, patience and sanity avoid this location by all means. I called first to ask if they could handle my small project, when I arrived I spoke to Tom who's the absolute worst. He was rude, aggressive in his approach and had no knowledge of the products & services that Kinko's even offers. So unprofessional, so rude and his Neanderthal behavior was so unbecoming of what you would expect from such an organization. So as we are leaving the assistant manager Steve, interjected and asked us if he could be of service. We were elated and said yes, as we went to tell him about our ordeal, he said that he didn't want to go over it with us as he said that he would speak to his employee about it. My response to him was how could you not want to understand what happened and hear our concerns if you were not present when we were greeted in such a rude and uncourteous manner. Shame on you Steve for not handling your role as a leader. No wonder why there's an issue with respect for the customers at this location. Why would employees have respect for their customers when management does not. This store needs to take a page from the Starbucks playbook and close down for a day to retrain its employees on cultural sensitivity, customer service, etiquette, general tact, the golden rule and just how to be a decent human being. However this story does have a happy ending, I went to the FedEx Office location at 32150 John R. Rd in Madison Heights and we were greeted with a warm reception and hello by Denise. The single employee operated store handled our needs with grace and even got our small project completed while we waited, along with a 25% discount on our printing job just because she could. read more

I don't do one star ever, but this place is terrible. I've been left standing without being acknowledged for lengthy amounts of time before being helped, had email print orders forgotten or lost, and then been blamed for the store's incompetence. Apparently there's been a lot of turnover in staff lately, so I'm guessing pay raises, better training, and retention strategies are in order. Customer service is unacceptably poor. read more

I've been to this location many times because it is close to my house but I'm afraid I've finally had enough and am going to try a new place. The staff always seems confused and flustered. The service is so slow. It took them over 25 minutes to print 4 b&w pages on regular 8 1/2 x 11 paper. I've also been lucky if one of the photo machines works and is stocked with paper. read more

This location is terrible. I brought some files to be scanned and loaded to a USB. When I got home they had loaded someone's personal vacation photos to my USB. I called and was told they couldn't email my original files to me and I had to go in to get them even though it was their mistake. When I asked for refund they gave me a hard time after telling them this was their mistake and now required me a second trip. Once they agreed to refund my money they said they "needed" my phone number to process the return. I told them I didn't want to give them my number but they wouldn't do it without.
