I end up going to the FedEx Office Print & Ship Center a lot more often than I intend to. They make shipping packages really easy. The staff there are very nice and helpful. Most of the time you can skip the line and use the package drop off area. Their hours are convenient and work with most schedules. Came here twice over last month to FedEx international. I'm ok with cost ~$200 each. I'm not ok with the nasty people at the counter. Different people each time. First time lady waited five minutes before coming over. Second time lady was just mean, like spitting words. I'm pretty smiley and polite so it was quite surprising. FedEx is my go to for printing services! Although I have a printer at home, sometimes the quality doesn't match up to what I need it for. FedEx makes it super easy, I can submit orders online and they will have it ready for me to pick up shortly after. The quality and attention to detail is amazing. They will call and let you know when the quality of something isn't clear enough, and communicate any questions they may have. When I need to have signage done, I know I can trust them put together exactly what I need. read more

I brought in a document with a prepaid label to ship. Upon entry I saw three employees, I stood by the counter awaiting for them to acknowledge me for a while. They appeared to be busy discussing some problem. When the assistant manager came over to help she was abrupt and it really struck me. When I tried to put the label on she was abrupt and instead of saying "allow me to help" or something of that nature she just said "no" I repositioned the label and she said "no" again. It is sad but if you're having a bad day try to keep your venom to yourself. I will try to avoid this location like a plague. read more

She huffed and puffed all over the place, citing a long line when she denied to help me with a specific request...There was one other person in the entire store. I was lucky to have walked in when I did, otherwise I doubt my project would have been completed on time, given that there were 5 or 6 customers that walked in after me. I had a rush print job that needed to be done and Shweta, the lone employee in the store, was so sweet to help me get it done. My original hope was to have a 30 page doc printed and bound, 50 copies. Unfortunately, the soonest that would have been ready was going to be 7am the next day. Since I needed the job that same afternoon, I opted for color prints with 5 tabs insterted to each copy. Shweta bent over backwards in order to get my job done on time for me. She had 2 printers going and placed the tabs in herself after they were all printed separately so that it saved time. (Apparently the tabbing printer takes extra long). The fact that she knew I needed this done quickly and acted in order for me to have it on time is awesome. My job was completed 30 mins before her original estimated time and the Assistant Manager (Kath?) was just as friendly and helpful as Shweta was. Kath carried the boxes out to my car for me and chatted for a minute before seeing me off. While the service I received from these two very awesome women was great, I do have to give only 3 stars to make up for the other customers that did not receive the service they expected because of my job. I certainly think this place can have more than ONE employee on during a shift, and I think it's a necessity that they do. read more

I have been so stressed trying to put together a funeral memorial program for the first time. I've spent days writing all the components, finding pictures, figuring out photo shop, and Adobe pdf editor. I finally got everything written and when it was time to print, nothing fit properly and all pages were out of order as I folded the booklet. Cue the angel known as Shweta from FedEx. I walked in with my sloppy files and explained my problem to Shweta. She instantly reassured me that she is awesome and she is going to fix everything I did wrong and put it together for me properly. I was so relieved to hear her confidence. Minutes later she proved how awesome she is as she presented to me exactly what I asked for. THAT is service. Overall poor service. Went in to have some documents scanned. Service was extremely slow, and they could not scan the documents to a file size that was able to be e-mailed. Wasted a lot of time and $. The employee couldn't get the job right, and didn't seem to care that she was wasting my time. Came here to ship very expensive guitar because UPS would not ship to Russia. The UPS store recommended that I come here. Guess what? They don't ship to Russia, either! My box was too big. Open 7am to 11pm most days, which is good for my family's crazy schedule. This place is way busier than UPS. Good location off of Dundee Rd. Decent store size with Kinkos copying inside, too. I don't go here very often but I needed a piece of artwork blown up poster size. I went in on Tuesday, hoping I'd have it by Saturday. Little did I know, they probably could've had it ready the same day. I was pleased...I emailed the file to them and went in to place the order yesterday afternoon. This morning I went in to sign the poster before it was laminated and mounted. It'll be ready tonight but I'll return at my leisure to pick it up. Pricey? Yes. But do I really want to laminate and mount the thing myself? Hell no. Good to know they're here and can deliver quickly. read more

THE WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER. I have never been treated so poorly in my entire life. I will actually never ever return to this Kinkos ever again based on my experience. I hope you won't either. The night before I had a big project due at work, I called this location to see if they'd be able to complete a printing and cutting job for me by the end of the following day if I dropped it off in the AM. The woman I spoke with assured me it wasn't a big deal and if I came in around 9am, it'd be ready around noon/1pm. I needed it by 4pm so this deal sounded perfect. The next morning, I dropped the file off at 8 am at the FedEx Kinko's down the street from this location. This woman told me to pick it up at 3 pm (slightly longer times but much closer to my work). At 2:58pm later that day, I stroll through the door to pick up my package. I'm told that the machines are down so my order is being processed at the FedEx in Buffalo Grove. Worse off, it won't be ready for another hour. The employee was extremely apologetic and worked with me as I tried to figure out what the hell I was going to do. She called the Buffalo Grove FedEx (who this review is for) and was told that there wasn't anyway they could CUT MY PRINTING PAGES IN THREE PIECES in less than an hour. Seriously, that's all I needed at this point. I offered to drive to Buffalo Grove to pick up my work in order to speed up the process. The employee at the BG store finally agreed to have it ready for me in 20 minutes, but only after we called her boss on his personal cell phone. So off I go... stressed out and angry... to the Buffalo Grove location. When I arrive 25 minutes later, they haven't even started my order!!! There's a man in line who finally says to an employee, "Excuse me, can I just get a printing card?" She snaps back at him, "Wait in line like the rest of the people" (who by the way all had completed jobs they just wanted to pay for). The man looked at her, turned to me and said, "Are you kidding me?! I'm never coming HERE again" and turned and left. (What's worse is I counted TWO others that commented on the lack of customer service...reaffirming my belief that it wasn't just me being the crazy customer). Finally, after being there for 10 minutes (it's now 3:40 pm, people ) the employee finally addresses me. She doesn't apologize or make eye contact and is in fact SMIRKING at me. She tells me she'll start my job now. I explain to her I need to get the document ON A PLANE by 6pm and I was promised a 3pm pick up time. She assigns some other employee to do the cutting and as I'm standing there, fretting about whether I'll lose my job or not, a customer approaches the desk and asks the employee who's cutting my papers to help him with the fax machine. AND THE EMPLOYEE SAYS "SURE" AND LEAVES MY JOB TO HELP ANOTHER CUSTOMER! It's finally 4:30 pm and I've been at the Buffalo Grove FedEx Kinkos for an hour. I have yet to be apologized to or even given a smiling glance. These are little things, but they could have turned the entire situation upside down. Instead, when I'm finally leaving, the employee with the terrible attitude tells me, "Oh by the way, we'll refund you. If you want to wait in line, I'll get you a receipt." Okay, thanks for the much deserved refund, but are you joking me?! Do you NOT understand I've been running against a deadline for two hours now?! To make matters worse, it took over three weeks for me to finally get the $480 I was charged for the WORST PRINTING JOB back on my card. I had to call the manager THREE separate times. Also, every time I called, he was never around. Someone would take my name and number and NOT ONCE did he return my call. When we would finally speak, he'd tell me he was working on it and that he'd call me in the next day or so with an update. Do I even need to say that I never received a call from him? I finally had to call the original FedEx Kinkos in Wheeling and she was able to get me a refund immediately. I asked for the District Manager's information and they told me "they had no District leadership in place at that time". Perhaps that's why your stores are so terrible. This wasn't some small printing job- this was a $500 job. You think they would appreciate my business and at least TRY to make me happy! What's even worse is this was my fourth visit JUST THAT MONTH! I was a repeat customer. Spending lots of money. The bottom line? Not only did your services suck, but your employees are the worst. read more

I went to this shop on Sunday, 8/2 to have some larger than normal legal documents copied; Shweta helped me out. She was great--not only did she get my documents copied very quickly and correctly, but she also helped out 2 or 3 other customers almost at the same time by herself (she was the only one in the shop that day when I came in). She was very professional, pleasant, and straightforward with everyone. I would definitely come back to this FedEx Kinkos for my future office-related processing needs! read more

By far the worst experience I've had at a FedEx. I had to print a PowerPoint for an interview. After sending an emailed copy to the FedEx store 17 times it still didn't appear on their computer. I was at the store for 30 min at this point an had the interview in an hour. Then they told me to try and use their computer which you get charged per minute to use. Then when I started using it, I tried to open up the file and they didn't have PowerPoint as an option. This was EXTREMELY INCONVENIENT and I still didn't print my PowerPoint! They told me to go to another store. Never coming back here AGAIN! read more

I had a friend's wedding invitations printed at this shop. The proof ran perfectly, however as they ran the order they never compared their proof against the print job. They printed the entire order, with a low ink cartridge. Needless to say the entire order was splotched. Also they did not align their cutter with the crop marks, and there are now two different size invitations with part of the graphics cut off. At least they did not charge us for the botched job! read more
