I have never been in a FedEx store prior to today, but today I received amazing customer service in this one! I had two packages to ship, one had a return label and I needed to purchase a return label for the other. I messed up printing my return label for the first package (it was international, so I need additional labels for customs). The man at the front (he wasn't wearing a name tag) was super helpful in explaining why they couldn't ship the package as is, printed out the additional labels for me, and packed it successfully. For the second package, the man helped pack and ship it quickly between assisting other customers and managing the first package's labels. The service was phenomenal today! There were only around three customers; however, I can't speak on the service when it's busy. read more

I'll start by saying the staff is super nice and accommodating, but I don't get the shipping policy, I usually drop off packages at a Walgreens never had an issue with the way I package things. I put them in a box and the use shipping paper to wrap, but at this store you can't send things that way, so I had to rip off the paper and re pack it. read more

The worst customer service I've experienced at a shipping store. This is a large location, very well organized. I stopped by this location just to drop off some college books to be sent to Amazon. FexEx and Amazon have a relationship for item logistics, advertising that it would make shipping much easier. On the counter there was a sign encouraging customers to use the new FedEx/Amazon program. When I came in, there were four employees. Two employees were in the back just hanging out and chatting, occasionally walking around. This was a tad bit confusing because there was a long line of customers waiting. Why were they not coming up front to help the other two employees servicing customers? I waited on the customer line for 25 minutes before I reached the counter. During this wait, I could only think if it made better sense to head out to another store. Upon reaching the counter, the customer service representative was unsure how to help me. I explained I was using the Amazon easy shipping, and pointed that it's ironically the program advertised on the counter. My books were packaged and ready to just be scanned. The rep had to call over one of the two employees that were just hanging out in the back of the store. It took almost 15 minutes for them to find the correct selection on the computer to scan my shipping code. Don't waste 45 minutes like me, there are much better FedEx locations out there. I've shipped many items and usually the most time it takes is only 5 minutes. The staff here need operation training to learn the services they provide. Also, when it's busy they need to focus on the customers instead of holding a box and chatting while the lines are getting longer. read more

Printing / Copying. due to my co-workers in ability to plan ahead, we tend to have to run out to places like Kinko's in order to get short order print jobs completed. They do a real decent job so long as you provide them the artwork / thing to copy. They totally rot if you need them to help you do some changes. Prices are not cheap but they almost always deliver when promised. read more

I recently used FedEx to pack and ship a Christmas chocolate house on Monday, December 19, 2022 at around 20am. I had successfully mailed a similar house last year that I observe was expertly packed and shipped. Although this item was wrapped and tied completely with a plastic holiday bag I was told that they couldn't accept this "food" item. I said I sent it last year. Then I was told they couldn't guarantee it would arrive intact. I then said the lady who packed it last year used a lot of brown paper and it worked well. So we proceeded with the paperwork. Fast forward Friday and my family received the package and found that several heavy white packing items had been mashed on top of the item smashing it flat. I felt from the moment I walked in I was being discouraged from using FedEx I was polite and friendly and I gave the guy a Christmas lottery ticket to spread a little holiday cheer. Customer service here is horrible! Don't waste your time. I called them to find out if they have boxes that will fit a huge binder, they lady had an attitude. So I asked how much the box was for and she said it was free with express. So as I'm asking her to go into details she just had attitude with me. So after work, I stopped by and the line was long with just one sales associate working, while the one I spoke to on the phone wasn't doing anything but organizing. It was almost 6 and they made a announcement that any shipments that need to be shipped out this is the last call. But how can you make a announcement like that if there's only one associate helping customers? Anyways, this was very important and needed to be ship out today so I already had a pre-paid label and just needed a box. I decided to ask them if they have a box that can fit the item I was shipping out and even the associate had an attitude and giggle at my question. So the one I was on the phone with gave me the box to put it together. After words, I confirmed with her again that the box was free and she has an attitude saying "Oh that's what I told you 4 hours ago when you called." All you had to give me was a Yes or No answer! I needed to use Fedex for sending overnight documents and found the New Hyde Park Location. I was super impressed by the customer service of both gentleman working the counter. The one that helped me spoke very politely, was kind/amazing attitude and helped guide me to what I needed. It was easy breezy. As someone who has worked in many customer oriented organizations, the customer service I witnessed today by the two associates is a priceless asset for Fedex. Unbelievable that a company like FedEx, would run a local store with such incompetence. The staff was absolutely horrible. One practically has to beg for help, and you'd be very lucky to get any. I use a Power Wheelchair b/c of obvious neurological problems. A half hidden sign by the counter says that handicap people should ask anyone for assistance and they'd be glad to help you. Really? Maybe in some parallel universe. I think they took it from the UPS Store. Well after yesterday's experience I will go to UPS from now on. I will never go back to FedEx. I went to overnight some documents, shouldn't be difficult, but it was hell. There was only one person actually working behind the counter for shipping. He was running back and forth, trying to handle everything, as the line continued to grow. I guess the other employees were just for show. After a ridiculously long wait, another employee said she would help - she was the one who needed help. Finally, after 10+ minutes, I placed my papers in their envelope. I'm ready to get out of there when the clerk said I had to peel a strip to seal the package. I told her, read your sign I cannot peel back the strip. She refused! I told her I wouldn't be using my wheelchair if I was physically able to do so. I politely asked her to assist me by sealing the package, that I couldn't do so. She refused again!!! Then I asked her to simply start peeling the strip and I would do the rest. She refused!!! What nerve! No caring, no assistance, ignoring the ADA. I was embarrassed, couldn't believe it. After wasting so much time, I was ready to leave and go to UPS. A woman behind me in line, offered to help and in a few seconds sealed my envelope. I am writing a letter to FedEx corporation to explain the horrible service, violations of the ADA, the embarrassing experience of begging for assistance and being refuse. DO NOT GO TO THIS STORE. People just need to patience , retail isn't an easy job period. Get your package ahead of time and stop waiting last minute to send your packages , stop asking stupid questions to the staff and do your homework ahead of time , figure out what address it's going to , whether it's Ground or express etc. it's COVID people , be patient. If you see a line again be patience it's not the end of the world ... there's a USPS in the same parking lot too. I'm tired of insensitive reviews listed. I am not one to write complaints, but I needed to in this situation because I have never been treated so poorly. I went to this location twice...my first visit the worker was so nice and helpful! The second time was in the evening and what a horrible experience! The 2 women working were so unprofessional and not helpful at all. I asked them to help me with the self-serve copier and they said, "the instructions were printed on the cover". Clearly I tried that first and still needed help. I asked the 2nd worker to assist me and she came over and tried something and then said, "I don't know". They both seemed annoyed that I needed help. I will never go back to this location. The guy that runs the place, Joe - is plain awesome. I did a makeshift box, (which wasn't allowed of course) politely told me that it can't be shipped like that(he personally took the time to remove my makeshift box, which was completely taped over, and hard to remove) and quickly cushioned and packed my $300 item. EXCELLENT price for shipping all the way to California. If you need to ship, etc. etc. definitely come here, and look for Joe. Also, I said I would take the makeshift box and all it's makeshift cushion away, but as i left the store i totally forgot. Sorry! read more

Enormously poor customer experience. It took me 1.5 hours to print 50 color copies, and that's no exaggeration. Every member of the staff has an attitude; you are getting in their way if their machines don't work properly or their incompetence is unacceptable. They are skilled, however, in feigning politeness as they treat you with contempt. On a recent visit, to address paper jams and errors in their printer (and one of the staff had set up the print job), I was made to wait on the back of the line (mostly people there to drop off packages) four separate times: "You'll have to get on the line." That doesn't make sense from a customer service viewpoint. If a machine jams, the customer shouldn't have to wait for five people to be served before staff addresses the jam. Then, because their machine repeatedly jammed and failed, they offered to print my job using machines behind the counter, yet took several attempts across over 30 minutes despite clear directions (e.g., print three copies of this file.").That was pure incompetence. On a prior visit, the clerk gave me attitude because I wanted a receipt for a package I dropped off; he wanted me to just leave it with him, with no record the package had been handed over. FedEx is pretty good, generally (and I've had an account for many years), but this office is bottom of the barrel, with staff that seemingly doesn't want to be there...or, at least, would rather have fewer customers be there. read more

Horrible customer service at this location. They should either close this place down or change employees and management. This location sometimes closes down mid-day in order to catch up on backlog of work. The line can get long outside and they just don't care. One particular employee there during the day is a real work. She was holding a package that I needed which clearly indicated to deliver to any company representative. I gave her my company ID and license and she said she couldn't give me the package because it didn't specifically have my name on it. The contents of the package were important for customer support that morning. This created an extraordinary, unnecessary delay. I will never ship again to this facility. read more

To make a long story short I ordered an item and attempted to cancel It before it came , the company shipped it anyway , I put up a sign for fed ex not to deliver the item , i left a sign at my door to not deliver item, they delivered it anyway. Worse experience ever! Tried to send back 6 gallons of deck stain to the manufacturer. I brought the two boxes to this facility in the same condition it was sent to me. The person first asked me if the product was flammable. She said I need to bring it to another shopping facility! I told her that their labels are on it and it's a return. I suggested she look up the shipping numbers. She then told me it would cost $135 to return the products! I told her I paid $65 to get it from Fedex ! What a rip off! Worse place ever. First and last time shipping with FedEx. I thought I give them a shot since they were a few dollars cheaper than UPS and closer to our business. Long lines, the single rep there (black girl) doesn't give a hoot and has a major attitude. She was literally getting into arguments with people on the line and giving them an attitude when they were asking questions. She flipped her name tag and took it off when some other customers tried taking her name. Very unprofessional and left a foul taste in my mouth. This place should be reported to corporate FedEx. STEER CLEAR! Drive a little further for another FedEx office and save yourself a ton of frustration! This is the WORST FedEx office I've ever been to. The staff here is incredibly rude and unprofessional. My fiance and I walked into the store and approached the counter where another customer just left, mumbling something negative about the worker. We stood at the counter with our box and waited for the girl to acknowledge us. She looked up at us from what she was doing, then looked down to continue what she was doing. We waited patiently for her to greet us, giving her the benefit of the doubt that she didn't see us the first time, only to be given an unpleasant toned, "Can I help you?". First off, let's be very clear that there is a distinct difference between "How may I help you?" and "Can I help you?". Of course you can help me. It is your job to help me. Everyone who walks into a FedEx and approaches the counter needs help. However, we let that go and continued to explain to her what we needed to get done. She told me to fill out a small pad with the sending information and was rude about it when she gave us directions. We went to the counter where all the forms were only to find signs saying "No more hassle. We will fill out the forms for you", pasted all over the forms counter. I just found it ironic that I was filling out a form when the sign clearly advertised how I didn't need to go through the hassle. And it gets worse..... We had a big, used, FedEx box of frame drums and these drums come in sets where the smaller ones fit into the bigger one. Our receiver of these drums requested that we ship these in one box since we have done this before. We explained that because these are instruments, we just wanted a little protection on the drums so that the frames don't crack. However, because they are pretty durable, they don't need to be wrapped too much. We were also afraid that they wouldn't fit into the box if they were wrapped with too much bubble. The girl said ok and went to get the box. Then, she proceeded to wrap the first set of drums with 4- LAYERS of large bubble wrap. We tried telling her not to wrap it so much but she did it to the second set anyway. After the 2nd set, we asked her if she can just sandwich the ones she wrapped over the 2 other sets that she didn't wrap. She said ok but did not understand what we were trying to say, and kept on telling us how it she needed to wrap it. Then, what seemed like the manager came over and began arguing with us, telling us that she's only doing what we asked and that he refuses to allow the our drums to be shipped that way. The manager explained that we could pack the stuff ourselves, the way we want, and bring it back to them for shipping. We agreed to that but then the girl told us that we had to removed the fed ex packing tape which she had already taped to the bottom of the box, and replace it with regular packing tape in which we had to purchase. She sent us to the front of the store, not allowing us to borrow scissors. So, if we wanted to pack the drums ourselves, we would have to purchase the bubble wrap, scissors, and the box which she had already taped but now needs us to remove the tape from. 1. If it was so important for them to follow rules and procedures, which I understand, then why did she even waste time trying it "our way" when she knew she wasn't going to be able to ship it out? 2. Working at a FedEx, shouldn't you be able to estimate whether or not my items would fit into the box after taking into the account the way your company requires you to wrap each item. Shouldn't that be the first thing you explain to me when I tell you that I need these items shipped? 3. And when we explain to you that each set of drums fit into each other and request that you do not separate them to conserve space, why is it ok for you to take the drums apart, and then tell us that they don't fit? My fiance and I were appalled at the service from this office. Obviously, we packed up our things and sorted out a different FedEx office. The one in Great Neck is WAY better and the staff is actually helpful and friendly, the way costumer service should be. read more
