Staples is your place to shop when you need ink. I bought a new printer and needed ink. I really wasn't sure of what I needed so I ordered black online because the black ink was out. I didn't know I needed 3 other colors. So as I looked at the ink, a customer representative approached me and look. He didn't see the magenta in a single pack do he went to his stock. He came back with a three pack . When I arrived home I had in mind to out the other colors away and install the magenta. Cone to find out that I needed to install the other colors as well because they were out as well. The representative saved me from another trip to another store to buy more ink. I do all my shopping at Staples when I need office supplies the seem to always have what I need. Bravo! read more

Everything absolutely does happen for a reason! It's a Friday afternoon and my cell phone is almost out of juice. I need to sign an important doc and e mail it back but am unable to get on the docusign app on my thirsty mobile. Found this Staples on Jericho Tpke and ran in. Cool vibe in the store with a nice greeting and acknowledgement from Billy at the Copy and Print Center as I was second in line and 7 feet and 7.7 inches ;) behind. Billy was just a thorough professional as he greeted every single person who got in line behind me with a " Thank you for your patience, be right with you." He assisted me with all the info I needed to e mail the contract to his store e mail and told me it would take a couple of minutes to get through. I walked through the store that was stocked, immaculate and every employee who I passed greeted me and asked if they could help me find something. Awesome!! Got back to the side of the counter and Billy waved me up, got the e mail and printed it out. He would not charge me for the page. He thanked me and wished me a wonderful weekend saying it was his pleasure. This was just a fantastic experience with a really great individual who it turns out was the Store Manager. He was calm, proactive and just solid!! Staples is still open 7 days a week currently offering free delivery and curbside pick up. Loved that every single employee was wearing a mask. Loved the fact that they were all just so mellow and nice as this contagious vibe left me smiling from this chance yet wonderful meeting with Mission Accomplished!!!! I read more

Justin the sales manager needs to be recognized for the sales and service that performed last night with me! Ok so first I have been shopping around for a printer got like 2 or 3 weeks. Competitors, The website and I went to Floral Park, Bell Blvd and Valley stream Staples. Patient af trying to make a huge decision on a $400 printer for my business. So anyway all calm and zen I drover to valley stream dressed down (which shouldn't matter just giving you perspective). And anyway they had like 4 workers maybe 5 who has on grey shirts and one with red and we're super unhelpful- but managed to help me locate Justin and his awesomeness! Justin's location had the printer in stock (I called to confirm before going) and after a weird hold getting transferred around I was delivered to him and he promised me he would have my printer and toner ready when I got there. Drove 20 minutes getting ice cream on the way and walked in masked but still eating the ice cream and this guy treated me like a QUEEEEEEEN! He offered me so many products that would fit my business need I has pretty dead set on what I wanted but I still admire his tenacity! I would drive past 2 closer locations just to get his service. I bought a protection plan Bc he said I would be protected and usually I do research to see if it's worth it but I TRUSTED him. (His name better be Justin lol) I don't want anyone else getting the credit. This guy freaking picked up that heavy ass box and BOUGHT IT TO MY CAR!!! Staples your sales manager has AHHHMAZING! Customer service like go yall do a little dance!! How did you know my living room was blue- blue filing cabinet for the win! $50 coupon and rewards points also for the win! A woman walked over to interrupt the transaction and he radioed an associate to help her so I would get personalized service. Their system was down so he graciously waited while I got a rewards account number online and went thru so many different scenarios of what products would fit my needs based on what I told him about my business. I went here to print a file onto avery labels in which I provided. However the associate member mentioned, to go to the Bellerose location. As the current location does not allow customers to print with their own labels. I then went to Bellerose and there printer was down. Bellerose mentioned to go to Garden City that they would be able to help. I, then, told Bellerose's associate member that they told me they cannot print on customers labels. To her reaction, she was surprised. Get it together Staples! Help the small business owners. We need help! read more

I am a huge fan of Staples.... Really, I am. They have a huge supply of most anything you need to assemble an office from the computers to paperclips. 99% of the time the team member is also very happy to help and work with you to get you what you need. Their prices are fair, the stock is good the stores are big, bright and clean. The problem... You have to put more help in the store... One or two people, running around to help people, monitor customer issues, try to keep lines moving at the register just doesn't work. It can also be a mood killer for them. I like your stores and I think you got real good people running them. Make the investment to hire a couple of part-timers to fill the shelves and work with the customers... What I have found is that they really enjoy being helpful and seeing satisfied customers. read more

Today my visit included buying another binder and divider inserts. Lets face it i was nervous when i saw the parking lot pretty full. But i guess they were in another store! I also had purchased a little while ago insert dividers that were wrong but i had opened the package. When i got to checkout. I was greeted by Vicki. I explained to her that these i bought a couple of months ago and they were incorrrect do they take them back... I had no reciept. She asked how i paid and i usually use a certain card so she scanned the item and i scanned my card and Voilá it worked. Since i was purchasing other items it just got deducted from the $4 i recieved credit for... Now had I not purchased anything i am not sure how the refund would work store credit? Back on the card? Staples - Store from lot - Printing Services Near Me - Garden City Park, New York

I used this Staples' Amazon Return Center on August 30, 2023. After 2 weeks, still no Amazon refund and my Amazon site showed that the item was still awaiting shipment! I went back to that Staples and was told to contact Amazon. After several calls to the Amazon Help Center, we finally drilled down to the problem, which was that Staples HAD NEVER SCANNED THE ITEM PROPERLY PRIOR TO RETURN SHIPMENT. Over the years and since this time, I've never had this problem going directly to the UPS Store across the street from Staples. Amazon now charges a dollar to bring the item directly to UPS and it is worth every penny, as you payment is refunded within hours. read more

I've been needing to make a lot of copies lately and the folks at the print & copy center have been very helpful. It's best to have a rewards card with them as you get handy coupons and deals, as well as returning empty ink cartridges and chipping a few dollars off of new ones. They have some great stuff in stock that helps with organizing but some of the prices can be a little high and make you think 'do I really need that?' Ample parking but the lot does need some help, usually filled with potholes and it has some weird corners where it is hard to see cars passing by. read more

I have been to this store many times but I went on Labor Day with my daughter to buy a 5 subject notebook (all she needed) for school so far. This time of year Staples is very busy and this year was no different. Everyone was there buying what they needed for school and they seem to have all items in stock and of course the notebook we came for. We finally purchased 2 notebooks and a package of 4 white out tapes. Everything came to $15 plus tax and we donated a $1 for kids without books. That was a good deal. Staples always has these great deals right before school starts, they usually have all items in stock and always plenty of staff on hand. Even though the line was down the aisle all registers were open and the line moved quickly. There were plenty of staff on the floor helping customers and putting out merchandise. This made my shopping experience very efficient and pleasant. It's nice to know that a large corporation like Staples puts the good of the students and their parents first before profits. The start of school is a hectic time and can be very expensive but they have these special crazy low price sales. I know for me it's always been very helpful. They also have great online specials, with sales, coupons and free shipping you can't go wrong. read more

My husband called in the morning before we head to the store to make sure they have the office chair we want in stock. The moment we walked in the store nobody is helping us, took us a while to finally find someone who told us they don't have it even before checking, and he was banging another chair on the floor and very unfriendly. We told them we called before we came over and the person who picked up the call said there's 3 in stock. He has a very bad attitude to us and did not inform us when he find the stock but just left us where we are. When we want to ask him more question he just told us the other person can help us. ( Not sure why he can't ? ) This is absolutely not the customer service I expected when I am about to spend $300+ on a chair. Office supplies with zero customer help. I am unsure what it is with Staples stores- they always manage to hire people with the least interest in actually doing anything customer related. The so-called "help" doesn't know much of anything and are not very helpful. The woman working the copy/UPS desk on weekends is rude as heck. She is short and rude to customers and mutters " dumb ass" under her breathe in front of other customers when the customer she is helping walks away. Hint - go get a job somewhere else. Always a long line to check out and always a bigger wait behind the copy and shipping desk. Last straw was a few Saturdays ago, go in at 930am to drop off a box (they open at 9am). Computer was not ready (isn't that something you address before opening)? Young man couldn't find the password to login, after fumbling for 10 minutes as if shocked to actually have a customer on a Saturday morning - turned me away stating he couldn't find the password therefore couldn't help me. No care, No apology, No calling a manager for help. I went a few miles down the road to Staples in Bellerose and dropped off my package and bought my $300 worth of supplies. Not the end of the world but a waste of an hour on a Saturday. Not the first time and not going back to Garden City Park. The copy and print center has gone way down over the past few years. I have sent multiple things to get printed and every time something is either done incorrectly or there "system" is down. They should train the employees a bit better and teach them skills on talking to customers. My father went in there and english is his second language and they basically thought they could get away with talking to him like a piece of garbage. We will never go to that staples again. Westbury staples does a much better job and know how to treat customers with respect. read more

I'm a regular Staples shopper in Northern California. I have generally found good customer service whatever location I've visited. My experience Sunday, when I was visiting New York was extraordinary, however. I was shipping some things back home, rather than schlep on the plane home, not something I do a lot. Frankly, what I thought would be simple and straight forward was growing more and more frustrating for me. Your employee, Amanda, recognized my growing frustration. On her own initiative, she made several suggestions designed to improve my situation. Ultimately, she took what should have been okay, was becoming a problem, and made it into something good again. I've been to this location multiple times and to other staples locations. And overall I've never really had a wonderful experience in one. But coming here, at least the people have been friendly and decently helpful. In all my times here, customer service has been slow. I've walked around confused for several minutes and even had to search out help. But when they come they are nice and efficient. That's the only reason I'd give 4 stars to this location. If I could give no stars that's what service at this location deserves. All of staff does not want to work. I go to one counter, he said oh, you have to do that at the other counter. I go to another counter, he doesn't say anything and leaves. That was the supervisor. Then after waiting for about 10 minutes, I asked the man who left if he is ever coming back to his counter. He said 'oh, you can do this at any counter!' So why didn't the first one handle my business? Then I wait again in line to get serviced and another supervisor comes over, puts cash in and told the rep to move me to another counter. I said 'of course, I haven't been at all the counters today!' Inspired to write a review based on my two separate experiences there. Visit #1, 7/2015: I bought a printer. Not only did the sales associate assist me in buying a printer that would in the long term save me money (due to lower cost of replacement cartridges, which I failed to consider), he then, without my requesting, searched on his personal phone to "price match" saving me another 50$ off my purchase. Visit #2, phone call 1/2016: I had a hardware failure on the printer and since it was still under warranty, I needed a receipt to get it fixed. I didn't have that receipt. So I called them up, they searched their records back to July, found my receipt, and emailed it to me. Hooray for customer service! read more

I had to update my review. I haven't been back there since my last review, but my son needed to make a copy. I was reluctant. Well, we couldn't make copies ourselves because every single copy machine, all of them, were out of order! Even the fax machine had a sign on it. Thankfully the girl behind the counter was able to. The line was long and she was very pleasant and polite. I can imagine how overworked the poor girl is. She was alone. They must be close to declaring bankruptcy or just closing their doors. Low inventory, lots of empty space and broken machines. Or perhaps management at that particular location is totally incompetent. Too bad. It used to be a great store to shop at. read more

I've come to use Staples almost exclusively for my small business due largely to their convenient locations, prices, and coupon/specials. While there's a location closer to me, I've always found it worth it going to the Jericho branch. They've been well stocked when other locations were out of something I needed. More importantly, I've found the Jericho Gen. Mgr, Victor, has always been able to provide the info I needed, has gone the extra mile to assist me in finding a solution to a problem, and runs a tight ship. I notice he's always watching the place and when there are more than 3 people on a line, he jumps on a register. He over-rides prices, allows a bit of leeway on my coupons' dates, and makes returns easy. Other branches are good, but I just haven't found that consistency in Westbury or Plainview. read more

I called ahead about printer ink, and they had it in stock, and set it aside for my husband to pick it up. I didn't get the man's name who helped on the phone, but he had me hold on to make SURE it was in stock, and then gave me the 'number' of the ink cartridge to make sure I'd be getting the right one. Nice. My husband got there just as they were closing, but said a lady named "Tracy" helped him, and that she had the sweetest smile, and a very nice manner.We had been having a stressful day, and he said her smile just made him feel better read more

If I could give this store 0 stars I would. Everyone who works at this store is less than useless. I called the copy and print center to see if my order was ready and was placed on hold for 20 minutes and finally I gave up and hung up. The costumer service at this store is terrible. Staples has also changed their rewards program and I lost over $100 in rewards. I called my account manager and they said there was nothing they could do. What is the point of having a rewards program if you are just going to take away the rewards from your costumers. I have no reason to give my business to staples anymore. read more
