I've had to use this place dozens of times over the years for print, shipping and presentation materials. The pros: there's always parking and the self serve machines are always working. The cons: needing to engage an employee for any reason. I know it's not a sexy job but wow it's as if there's a secret award for Most Apathetic. The last time I was there I needed to print on specialty paper literally 2 different employees just kinda shrugged and mumbled "directions" for a self serve machine. The place was EMPTY. They were chatting behind the counter. I finally said "hey I don't work here. I'm happy to play around on these machines until it's right but I'm not paying for any of it." and they just shrugged. I went in yesterday at 5pm to print some business cards here. I had made up my design and scanned it on FedEx's printer with the intention of using their online print service. I am experienced using printers and scanners and editing images on computers; it is a large part of what I do for work. I scanned my image at 400 DPI and emailed it to myself, then used the pay-per-minute FedEx computer to edit the image in Photoshop, being mindful to keep the resolution and quality as high as possible. I ended up with a 6MB business-card-sized PNG file from an original 400dpi PDF scan, which I think is more than adequate for a simple print job. Still using the pay-per-minute computer, I went into FedEx's online printing software, uploaded my image, sized it, and submitted it for printing. The person at the counter told me they'd received it and they would be ready in the morning, so I left, having paid a total of $26 for 100 business cards ($11 for the cards plus $15 for the computer time). When I got to the store to pick up my cards, I was shocked. The cards looked like they had been printed by a potato. They were blurry and hardly legible. I would feel embarrassed giving these to anybody. When I mentioned this to one of the employees, she dismissively told me that it was because I had emailed the scan to myself the day before, instead of transferring it physically from the scanner to the computer on a USB drive. Then she told me it was because I used the wrong file type. At no point was there any admission that the cards looked terrible, any offer to provide assistance or refund any money for these ridiculously expensive and unusable cards. I left, went home and called FedEx support to try and get a refund from them, and after waiting for 20 minutes on hold, I was told that because of the first four numbers in my order number, I had to request a refund from the store manager of the store who printed the cards, and that it was up to the manager's discretion whether to issue a refund. Well, as far as I could tell, the employee who spoke to me was the manager (she was working both days I went in), and she seemed fully intent on blaming me for the issue and covering her own ass. I'm going to go print these myself at the library like I should have done in the first place, and certainly never coming back to a FedEx Office again. read more

This place needs management attention. I am here at 1430 on Saturday and there is one staff person with 7-8 Customers. She is trying to do everything but is overwhelmed and slow. I've never had a problem when I come here to make copies or to print or fax anything. They really have everything you need to do business or whatever your come in for (staples, computers to print, copiers, white out, glue, all sorts of supplies) The people working there are very nice too even when you go really late at night like I do. I like that you just stick your card in and print to your hearts content. And I think they have a prepay kiosk or something now which I'm unsure of how it works. I'm glad that they are open late, if not 24 hrs, because sometimes in the middle of the night you just need to make copies of old letters or photos and such. The prices are really reasonable as well. For anyone who hasn't used machines where you stick your credit card in and then print there could be a small learning curve but once you get the hang of things it's smooth sailing from then. I had several different flyers to print and the whole experience was not great. The online process of submitting documents to print is arduous and finicky. To their credit, they did call me to go over things in my order, but each time something came back obviously wrong like the flyer image being expanded thus cut off in print. Ugh. Had to get some of it reprinted. But there were also image issues that I would think anyone printing it would pause. For instance, one is my flyers was very low res. It came out awful. I wish they would have picked up the phone and said "any chance you have a higher res file?" Sigh. But the worst part was their receipt system! Did you know that they print out your order and receipt and all of this extra nonimportant data on sheets of 8x11 paper only to recycle (it never gets checked, apparently)? My order of 38 flyer prints printed out MORE than 38 pages of these "receipts" that they were just tossing into the recycle bin! Then, the printed me out a normal receipt for me that was much shorter. I couldn't believe the waste! The only thing earning them a star is the pleasant staff interactions. Absolutely the worst Fed Ex I've ever come across. We called to verify they had a certain shipping item we needed. The young lady who answered the phone, said she was new & would check. She came back to the phone after asking her manager and assured us she had it. We drive approx 20 miles out of our way to get here. Upon entering there were a couple people ahead of us. We waited as the same young lady who'd answered the phone tried to do everything at the desk while the "manager" stood looking at a computer screen and said she would be with us after finishing her lunch. The line continued to form all the way out the door over the next 10-15 minutes. The manager appeared to be oriental but never got close enough for us to get her name. When it was our turn the young lady who I had spoken to on the phone saw us carrying guitars and then said she would go find the boxes. She searched for several minutes, asked the "manager" where they would be, and searched again. (This isn't a big building by any means.). "Manager continues standing at a counter and yells at her where the boxes would be. Her demeanor became almost aggressive when the young lady couldn't find them. She then yells to us that we will have to step aside until she's finished with her "lunch." We said that we needed to get back on the road ASAP & that with our account info it would only take a couple mins. "Manager" then spoke in a language I didn't recognize but was obviously angry as she started trying to find the boxes we requested. Needless to say, they didn't have the boxes anywhere in the store. I kid you not, it was at least 15 mins of her moving a stack of corrugated cardboard around and making the young girl help her. "Manager" then got on the phone with another FedEx and was absolutely rude to us as she yelled about doing her "best to help" us. (while there are at least 7-8 people behind us waiting to be helped. We kept apologizing to them because we never would have intentionally held them up. Needless to say, we left extremely frustrated and upset. As we walked away the young lady who was very upset at this point kept apologizing. We assured her it wasn't her fault and then noticed she had been employed since 2020 on her name badge. (This meant at the very most she could have worked there a couple of months.). We encouraged her to transfer to another store or find another job altogether. Right as we got to the door, "Manager" yelled out very loudly (again in another language) and sounded like she slammed the phone down after saying "They're leaving now, so I don't care." Those were her exact words. This place needs a major overhaul and the young lady working that day needs a paid vacation for having to work for "Manager" whose real title should be "MeanAss." Or maybe we could go with "Lazy & Rude Human." Either way, avoid this location at all costs. We sure wish we had. read more

Lost my business. Last Monday on my way to work a sprinter Express FedEx van was driving in the 2nd from left lane on Pacific Ave. heading towards College. I was in the left lane as the driver decided to turn left into a parking lot at Papa Johns and Harbor Freight. The individual turned aggressively and directly in front of me, causing me to hit hard on my brakes and lurch to a stop. Gratefully, no contact was made and the FedEx van went on their way, seemingly unaware of my presence. Throughout the day into week, I made countless attempts to contact customer service, stopping by and calling local FedEx stores to find information how to alert and reprimand this driver. The difficulty, lack of help, vague assistance and run-around that I experienced has lost my respect and security in this company. Where you put your money is where you put your support - if a company cannot make it simple for someone to share their dangerous experience that needs to be addressed and to simply care - they do not deserve my business. read more

The store is clean and the service is friendly but the prices are quite steep. I came in with a prepaid shipping label because I was returning a defective product to the manufacturer. I asked about which box size would be appropriate and the person behind the counter was friendly in advising me, even offering to wrap it in bubble wrap so it wouldn't break. I thought this was just exceptional customer service until she rang me up to the tune of $15 for packing materials! The box was listed as $2.50, so I can only assume she casually charged me $12.50 for a few pieces of bubble wrap and tape without letting me know it would cost substantially more. If I had known the price was going to increase six fold I would have passed up the help - instead of wasting so much money returning a worthless kettle. My wife was shipping a small computer charger in a small envelope using slow ground shipping and still got stuck with a surprisingly high $15 price tag at checkout, waaaaay higher than the local post office. read more

The people there were very nice to me and helped get my brochures printed without laughing at me and my near-nervous-breakdown status. The guy, I think his name is Sean, actually explained why I was having such a terrible time getting it to work at home so I didn't have to feel so stupid. I have fond memories that have lasted a lifetime coming here when I was merely a young child with my mother for her faxing and copying needs. This location back then was known as Kinkos Copies. Today, it is a FedEx Office and the service is impeccable thanks to a woman named Mai. She provided us with the highest level of customer service and assisted us in making shippings of 7 large 25 pound or more boxes. She is quite strong and did not mind rolling up her sleeves to assist us. One of the boxes was a very long and heavy snowboard with boots & other misc snow gear. Please promote her and give her a raise. She is sharp, strong and articulate. Thank you for all of your help, Mai! :) read more

He says its because the machine only has a certain color spectrum, tough shit basically and to go to another location. You would think that with being a team member since 1994 we would have received better service. Apparently their machines can print bright blue but not gray? Like.....Thanks for nothing, we really so greatly appreciate your complacent 'customer service'. Dont waste your time, go to a different location with machines that work. Way overpriced! I was going through a home mortgage refinance, and needed to scan and email about 45 pages. I brought the pages in, the worker scanned them, took my flash drive, put the file on my flash drive, and then charged me $35. Really? It took her less than two minutes to do all of this, start to finish. On my receipt, incredibly there was a 20 cent discount per page, and it was $35 after the discount. I will never go there again. I should have just manually scanned the pages one by one on my home copier/printer/scanner. read more

I was shipping a pistol to its manufacturer for repair and had a pre-printed fedex shipping label from the manufacturer. The clerk was hesitant and had me wait over 15 minutes while he looked at a binder and his computer. This clerk had a "team member since 1994" tag on his shirt so I'm not sure why he seemed so confused. When he, with the assistance of another employee, realized it was ok to ship, he than handed me a fedex box that looked like an origami puzzle. I asked if he could assist in assembling it and he said the instructions are on the box and quickly turned his back to me. This male clerk was not helpful and seemed disinterested in providing a good customer experience. Another clerk finished the shipping task and was much more agreeable and customer oriented. So overall, a mixed bag of customer service. read more

so i dont ship often but i had an amazon return. so i printed my slip and took it to a fed ex office like the instructions said. hand some lady behind the counter my box and slip and tell her i dont know what im doing. she gave me a concerned look and told me i needed a corrugated box. when i told her that it was obviously in a corrugated box she stated that it wasnt sturdy enough and proceeded to smash my box to demonstrate i needed to buy one from her. the box was very sturdy and was just delivered to me by them. so i told her "so you are saying i need to just go to a different location?" she told me they would tell me the same thing. i drove to the fed ex drop off across the street where they took my box with a smile on her face. read more
