This place is pretty easy and nice . Most of them are very polite and helpful but today there was an Indian girl working ( I apologize for describing her that way but she didn't have a name tag on so it's the only way I know how to describe her , dark skin, young, dark hair . She was not nice at all , I had a package to ship with a qr code and it had less than a quarter of an old hazard sticker on it , I always reuse my boxes and I had removed most of it to the point where it wasn't detectable as a hazard sticker . She refused to take it and said the sticker needs to be removed nicely . I asked her if I could use the pair of scissors that was right next to her , she looked at me , said " oh " and turned away to help someone who had just walked in . I stood there using my car keys to try to scrape off the little chunk of sticker and I let her know it was off now, she ignored me , and started helping the next person in line ( I was the only person in there , then 2 others walked in ) instead of helping me she ignored me , so I walked back to the line . Thankfully another employee helped me . Honestly I don't want to deal with her again . The regular post office would never do that , they are actually nice there . This girl was just not a nice girl . I don't think that's the job for her. This wasn't me breaking the rules and being confused about it , she was just unhappy and wasn't feeling up to providing standard customer service read more

This literally made me hate UPS. My package shouldve delivered today, (friday) but it said "failed delivery attempt, will now deliver Monday" even though i was home all day. I called asking why this was a "failed attempt" and they claimed they didnt know my "gate code"?? i don't have a gate code! its a simple latch. and if you dont wanna use the latch theres even a basket to drop packages on the fence. how incompetent of the driver. So I call the store to ask if i can pick it up instead and they said it will take 24 hours to change from a delivery to a pickup. and said "you can probably pick it up by monday." So instead of dropping my package into our mail basket on a friday, youre gonna give me the choice of these two stellar options: "picking up monday" or "delivery on monday." why am i waiting through the weekend no matter what.? it was supposed to be today. and it was so simple too. I have come to this store way too many times to count. Each time I've had a decent experience with maybe two or three being good. Today however, it was exceptional and it was all because of Kaity (this is the spelling I was told), whom come to find out, is a manager-in-training for that store. Thank god too because she's amazing, has a great personality, and quick as a whip with funny comments and making you feel as if you've known each other for years. She's definitely, what did you call me, "my G" over there at the UPS Store - I mean heck, she even saved me $4. I guess I owe her lunch now! Every once and awhile I have something from Amazon that I'd like to return. They are clear to get a bar code and take your item to the UPS store. No need to package it up I thought "Now that sounds too easy!". But the folks at the UPS store do it all for you. Show the bar code, they scan it, and print you a return receipt, package it and send it on it's way back to Amazon. It really - couldn't be easier!!! Nice people and great service! read more

when you pay premium dollar to ship at a UPS Store wouldn't it be actually nice if it went to UPS? Not this store,it's a sham... the store dropped it off at the US Post office on their way home! so my package going from Tumwater to Vancouver BC was dropped at the Olympia post office who put it on a slow truck to Los Angeles! Never again... it's a sham, it's not ups, its wherever it's cheapest for them to drop off... my 3 day window turned into 10 days with the USPost office so they could charge exorbitant rates...I could have sent it through the US Post for a fraction of the cost... what a ripoff.. read more

I have only used this store once, in order to photocopy a whole sheaf of tax documents. I had to ask for a little bit of help, and request things like staple removers, a stapler, etc. I found the staff extremely helpful and would patronize the store again. read more

This location is getting worse and worse in customer service and attitude. I took a pre-paid return package to be dropped off. Yesterday. First thing when we walked in with my little son, they were spraying all surfaces, including the center isle for customers, which was soaked wet, with toxic revolting chemicals. My throat and eyes responded with allergic reaction right away. Then, they proceeded with harassing me where I should stand, very angrily, as if they were doing me a favor for letting me to be their customer. that exceeded my comprehension how they stay in business. If you want to be disrespected, come to this little shop and get a load. I will not come back. read more

Had a free Amazon return started with barcode ready to scan and they wouldn' t take the return location without it being in a box ( I had it wrapped in plastic as rec. from Amazon) The website says You are returning 1 item(s) in 1 package(s): - no box or label needed and yet they said they need it in a box.... Thats actually not my complaint. Below is, I said, okay...what is my price for a box. $20.82 For a box to send a bicycle pump back that I bought for $32 No thanks, I will take the return to Kohl and not use your store in the future. I brought in a DirecTV receiver to be returned. I asked for a tracking number and a receipt, per DirecTV's instructions. I was told it would be no problem. I took my receipt, which they said had the tracking number on it, and left. A few days later and I go to track the shipment. Guess what....no tracking number. Thanks a lot UPS Store #1902! read more

I am a local small business owner that normally uses the Tumwater UPS store location as it is my home store , however from time to time I use this Olympia location when I am in the area for convenience- this will be the last time that I ever use this location as I was astonished the by actions of the person that helped me today. As soon as I turned around, she threw my box on the floor with total disregard for the giant FRAGILE sticker on the front-I will be amazed if this box doesn't arrive to my client in pieces! Every time I come to this store the people are either rude or treating packages with very little care. I realize that they are busy but my home store NEVER does this and is always respectful and kind. As a small business we rely on our partners to help us deliver goods on time and in good condition in order to maintain good client appreciation and loyalty. If you want a reliable and pleasant experience, then go to the Tumwater UPS store and avoid this Olympia one for any future shipping needs. I will NOT be returning again! read more

I had to ship a bulky package abroad before Christmas in COVID times. Despite all of that, the staff was super helpful with paperwork. Once shipped and landed, box was held in customs for weeks. The staff, again during the busiest time of the year, helped to find someone who could explain the hold. I had called a number in an email before and It did not go well. But in-store, the staff were helpful with contacting the foreign UPS office and in doing everything they could to resolve the customs issue. It was a lengthy wait, due to the customs office-not UPS. I just got the email from the UPS staff that they got word my package was finally released. I spent hundreds of dollars on shipping. It would have been for nothing without their awesome service and follow-through. Thank you so much!! read more

They advertise meeting all requirements for passport photos but when I used their service the photo was too big and rejected by the U.S. passport service. They refused to refund the cost and now I must go in person because of the short time frame. Terrible customer service. read more

I mail a considerable number of boxes filled with dry food for a hiker that hikes the Pacific Crest Trail, the Appalachian Trail and the Continental Divide Trail. Until today, I have never had a problem with the West Olympia UPS Store. Today, however, I was treated worse than I have been treated while at a store for a very long time. I was trying to make an Amazon return for my husband, and the first clerk who helped me (Jose) was at least professional and courteous. There was a problem with the QR code not printing all the way, so I had to return home and have my husband print the code out again. I also made sure to pull up the code on my iPad, just in case. When I returned to the store, a female employee helped me, and she was one of the rudest employees I have ever had the misfortune of dealing with! The QR code my husband forwarded to me turned out to be incorrect (I didn't realize that at the time), and instead of nicely explaining to me that the code was incorrect (which she should have done), this woman was extremely rude, patronizing, and condescending. She yelled at me, as if I were a naughty child! I was so angry and shaken by her extremely rude behavior that I had to leave the store, just to calm down. The third time I went to the store, a younger gentleman helped me, and I was able to mail my husband's package. I will not return to this store again! I'm only giving it two stars, because at least Jose and the younger gentleman were courteous to me. I hope the female employee is at the very least reprimanded for her atrocious behavior. read more

Most fabulous customer service ever! I visit frequently from Los Angeles and I ship all my packages to family members through this store -- they are efficient and a joy to deal with. My mother has had a mailbox with the store for over a decade now (she loves them as well), and I had a couple of last minute Christmas presents shipped to her mailbox -- they were expected to arrive on the 24th. That day, Christmas Eve, I had planned to pick them up at the end of the day, when it suddenly occurred to me that they might be closing early. It was 2:56 pm. I called and, sure enough, they were closing at 3pm to go home to their families. I explained my situation and the owner was kind enough to wait behind for me while I drove there from way out on Cooper Point Road to pick up the packages. A great store with great people running it.
