This review is long overdue! My husband, Bob & I have been going to this excellent FedEX location for over 20 years, and finally decided it was time to write a review because we appreciate their fast, friendly and invaluable service. Whenever we've had questions regarding shipping, or printing; they're always very helpful, and even given tips with packaging, and cost saving strategies. Moreover, If you're pressed for time, and have a shipping label on your package, you can get your own tracking number printed out, by scanning your parcel at the Kiosk machine, located at the entrance, and it's super easy to use. This location is clean, fully stocked with supplies and boxes for your packaging needs. In conclusion, we want to thank Victoria, Doug, Christina and all the others, for outstanding service, and treating Bob and I like family. What a great team and a well run store! I had a very disappointing experience with Vicki, who claims to be the store manager. I came in to ship a package, and the store was completely empty aside from two employees standing about 20 feet behind the counter, engaged in conversation with each other. As I approached the counter, Vicki told me to use the self-service kiosk instead. I was already at the counter, and I don't think it's unreasonable to expect assistance from staff in that situation. Neither employee made any effort to assist me, so I walked over to the kiosk. As soon as I touched the screen, Vicki appeared beside me and began explaining how to use it--despite having just declined to help moments before. While doing so, she attempted to take my package from my hands not once, but twice. I told her firmly not to grab at my package and that if she wasn't willing to help me at the counter, I certainly didn't want her interfering now. She stepped back and stared at me for a moment before walking away, then proceeded to make rude remarks about me to her colleague, which I could clearly hear. As I was leaving, she sarcastically said, "Have a nice day," prompting me to call out her behavior. When I addressed the sarcasm, she denied it and claimed she was simply commenting on the weather. I expressed my frustration with how I was treated--ignored when I needed help, then badgered when I attempted to use the kiosk. When I asked to speak with the store manager, she smugly informed me that she is the manager. I sincerely hope the company reviews this feedback and takes it seriously. If you look through other Google reviews, you'll notice a common pattern: Vicki's name is frequently mentioned in negative experiences. That should say something. If this is how the store manager conducts herself, it's no surprise the employees are following her lead. read more

Biggest FedEx shipping office I've seen and it is very orderly! Walked in to ship a couple of books back to Chegg. Rolling up to this location, since it's in a mini strip mall, I wasn't expecting much. However, when I walked in, the place seemed huge to me! There was sections to get paperwork together, prepare packages, and grab various office supplies. I went up to the counter to drop my package off and was greeted by a friendly worker who made some small chit chat with me while we were waiting for the system to create my shipping label. The label got created and I was on my way in about 5 minutes or less. Very quick service, friendly staff, and a large selection of office supplies here for your shipping needs! read more

This is the second time I have gone to this location with my registered service dog with me and was treated horribly. Today was the second and last time I will ever step foot into this location again! I had a return of an item to be sent back to a company which they supplied me a QR code for Fed Ex to scan and print a label. The first lady said she couldnt help me and i would have to wait for her manager. While I stood there with my service dog leash in one hand and this box in another this manager was carrying on an entire personal conversation with a lady at the counter while leaning on her elbows on the counter with her hand on her chin not even looking professional. I had the original box that the outdoor patio chair cushion was delivered in along with the QR code ready for them to scan. They told me they cant help me and I have to pay for shipping for the size of the box. I said the shipping is already paid for you just have to scan the code. They pretty much denied me service. I took the same exact box with the QR label to another location and was able to ship my item back to the retailer with No issues!! This store needs to be closed down! I feel discriminated because I had a service dog with me! There was no reason for them to deny me service. read more

Retail is tough.... Retail during a pandemic; more so. THANK YOU to the staff of this store for holding it together. While I was picking up a package, one of their associates was getting an earful from a customer about the speed of service. The associate remained calm and polite, even though they were treated with disrespect. When I reached the front of the line (5-10 minutes) I was given my parcel quickly, and got on my way. I ordered invitations on line for the first time and they sent a jpeg to me. I spoke with Devin on the phone and I emailed the jpegs to him and told him I would come up to the store and speak with him about the order. He was as professional and courteous in person as he was on the phone. He answered all my questions and took care of it. Then I received a courtesy call to let me know my order was ready. I had no problems at all thanks to Devin. The store was really clean and organized and a lot cooler than I thought it would be. read more

One of the best and nicest Kinkos In Oakland county and probably Michigan. Located in a strip mall and it's really east to find, just look for all the mini Fedex trucks in the parking lot. The store is beautiful, spacious, clean and we'll stocked. When I walked in I was greeted with a big smile by Pam. She was friendly and very helpful. The guy that was working on my project, (I believe his name was Aaron) was extremely professional, knowledgable and completed my color printing project in less than an hour. So when it comes to my color printing needs. Yes! I will drive the extra miles to revisit this Kinkos. :). read more

Employees harass customers about masks. I had my mask on and pulled it away slightly from my mouth, creating an air pocket between my mouth and mask, while still covering my mouth so that I could more clearly communicate with an employee. This was for about 1-2 seconds. One of the employees must have taken issue with that because they said that I must keep my mask on at all times in the store. My mask was on and did cover my mouth. If you adjust your mask you are likely to get harassed by the employees for "non-compliance" to their rules. Don't give them your business if you value a welcoming environment. read more

Woman working in here was so rude. She spoke to the two customers before me the same way. She noticed that I tried to print a document myself but I was unable to do so as their store in poorly marked as well. I got into line and asked if she could print for me and she said to use the print and go do it myself machine. I told her I was unable to do it and she rolled her eyes and said she could do it but it would be a few minutes. She is not eager or willing to help people out, she'd rather have an attitude with customers. I believe she might have even been the manager, poor customer service that's for sure. read more

Faxing? Do people still do that?! That's what my son said when I asked him if I asked him if he had access to a fax machine! Hilarious!! I needed access to one like Pronto!! I haven't needed this service in quite sometime but thank goodness for this business and it being close to home. I had an old FedEx card that I used to make copies and it came in handy to use for faxing. The employee working helped bring me up to speed as to how things worked as it seemed a bit different than when I last used the machines here. Anyway he was more than happy and helpful and my fax was off in no time. Always understaffed when I have to come here. Usually end up waiting in line for at least 10-15 minutes. Right now there are 5 people in line with one employee in the entire store. Last time I came here with a prepaid package for shipping and they made me pay extra because they didn't think it was padded enough. The contents of the box weren't fragile, but they refused it until I paid $4 for paper to stuff in the box. read more

Kinkos had a great brand - so I naturally thought of it first when I needed to get some DIY wedding program printing done. The guy tried to charge me $2.50 per side per page to print on 80lb cardstock paper - Office Depot by contrast charged $0.59 cents per page + 0.08 cents per page for paper, AND they offered cutting service, something that Kinkos did not offer. I will not be going back here again. I wonder why anyone use them. read more

This place is great. I went to UPS to mail a large envelope 2-day and they wanted to charge me $46. Left and came to this FedEx store. Ray is amazing, awesome customer service! And I can mail the same package 2-day for $11. read more

James is a horrible employee right when I walked in at 9:50pm he was like my package cannot be shipped out today. He denied my package and he started to make excuses about the size of the item. I also asked him to estimate the shipping costs and he said he was unable to do that. I never had a problem in the past shipping similar items at this location. I highly don't recommend this location to anyone. read more

RAYMOND AT THIS LOCATION HAS ZERO CUSTOMER SERVICE SKILLS! IF IT'S NOT EASY, HE WON'T DO IT. I am constantly in and out of a FedEx office, typically not the same one, but never with an issue... until I went to this location (Store #0428 - 4050 Rochester Rd, Troy, MI) and had the absolute WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE experience from an employee named RAYMOND. My company is affiliated with FedEx. Typically, the easiest way to prove employment is with a company badge. I was out of state and my company badge was at home. This has happened before, I don't vacation with my badge on me, so I explained to Raymond that per the sister company agreement, I could definitely prove my employment: a front and back picture of my company badge, a letter from my manager on company heading, a paycheck stub from the week before, my name and picture in the company org chart, etc. I even went as far as saying, "I can have my roommate back home facetime and show you the front and back of my badge." He just didn't want to provide ANY customer service and told me that without a badge he can touch and see in front of him, that he could not help me. It's the Sunday before Christmas and I understand stressful times, but he and I were the only ones in the store and after refusing to help me, in essence, refusing to just do his job, he turned away and started doing something else. I took my rather large and heavy box towards the door and stopped. Why should I be inconvenienced for Raymond not wanting to do his job? I turned and asked him if there was anyone else in the office that I could speak with. No. Asked if there was anyone I can call. No. Finally asked him if I could have the corporate number to see if they could help me. He gave me an 800 number and turned away again. No problem, maybe there was miscommunication in what I was trying to explain to him; who knows? I stayed in the store and was on hold for about 20 minutes. Even the 3 FedEx representatives I spoke to over the phone could not understand why this was an issue for him as they could not find anywhere where it said 'badge only' as proof of employment. She placed me on hold a few times to get some answers. By now, another employee came in to the office from the back room, so it was now Raymond and a female employee. I told him I was glad he wasn't alone like he said he was earlier. It was clear to me that he was just trying to dismiss me, after all, it's easier to avoid doing your job than it is to just do your job, right? At one point I saw Raymond talking to Stephanie, the woman I was on hold with from FedEx, and he just stared at me repeating "I need a physical badge." to her. After going back and forth, he hangs up with her, the other employee is whispering to him about what's going on with me. Overall, poor customer service all around from this store. He was angry that he was wrong and now wanted to stand his ground with ZERO footing to stand on. Stephanie gets back on the call with me and tells me, "Raymond says he cannot help you without a badge, but there are 4 other locations within 10-15 minutes away from this location, who I've personally spoken with, that WILL help you." What? So, the same company, the same sister company agreement, the same services, but I have to go 6 miles west to be provided the customer service standards that FedEx prides itself on? The Rochester Road/Wattles location is really that INADEQUATE? Okay. So, with Stephanie on the phone and Raymond and the other employee completely avoiding me, I repeat loudly what she is telling me, "FedEx at 4 other locations can help me with the same services this FedEx provides, but because Raymond refuses to do his job, which involves customers, then the customer, me, is inconvenienced? Got it. Thank you so much Stephanie! I'll be writing a review about Raymond." ONLY then, did Raymond pop his head up. ONLY then did he say he wasn't trying to inconvenience me. How is being on the phone for 45 minutes, giving you a dozen options to prove my employment and then hauling this box back to my car just to go to the exact same company at a different location to provide the exact same service that should have been provided at the Rochester Rd/Wattles location NOT an inconvenience?! If RAYMOND cannot handle something outside of the norm, he should NOT be in customer service. By far, the WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE I have experienced. He did not try to resolve anything. He just walked back to what he was doing and gave me the occasional smug look while I was on the phone with the same company he works for to get an answer. read more

I found out that all the FedEx store locations will be closing earlier at 7:00 PM last night due to the "Polar Vortex" which is pretty ridiculous in the first place because it's not like the buildings aren't heated. So I make it to this location at 6:55 and walk over to the door with a handful of packages finding out it was locked while the place was lit up and the open sign was still on. I observed that the place was still being occupied by a FedEx employee while assisting a customer. I was just being ignored after knocking and trying to get the employees attention. The packages just needed to be dropped off. They were labeled and all ready to go. I Also found out this was a building code violation having exit doors locked that don't have a latch release on the other side of the door especially during business hours occupied with a customer. This is one of many problems I've had with FedEx. I will be opening up a new account with UPS today. read more

First of all their computers don't work and you will be sitting there for hours! The computers are very slow. By far the worse fedex office I've ever been too after creating my flyer for about an hour and when I was done the computer crashed and I lost everything ! The only thing I got back was an "I'm sorry" Oh and I couldn't choose what design I wanted nor if I wanted it in black and white. And there was only one worker there. All this and to top it off they are EXTREMELY EXPENSIVE What a shame. read more
