Looked at a number of Reviews before going to this particular Goin' Postal Store in W. Bloomfield. In spite of the poor ratings on Yelp, many of which I was more than a little surprised at after going there last week and again today, after reading ratings on Google I decided to give it a try. The manager was there as well as two very nice, accommodating female employees, one of whom had been there for about 6 months and the other only 2 months. The one who had been there the longest was very knowledgeable; the newer one was still learning but also very personable and bright. First visit was to drop off a package to be shipped and have a picture taken for a new passport. Today's visit was to turn in the passport information and have it sent out Priority Mail. Not only is this a well-oiled operation and a very clean store, it has the best selection of postage stamps I have ever seen anywhere - and a couple of superior lines of greeting cards that I spent about 15 minutes looking at and buying. I finally decided to get the heck out of there before I spent more money on cards than I did on my passport. Turns out the manager personally selects what stamps he wants, as well as the greeting cards. The stamps are far better than what you can get in the post offices, and the greeting cards are very different than what you find in drugstores. Hi there! I just wanted to say, that I am 48, I grew up in West Bloomfield and just recently moved to Goodrich. The only thing I miss about that city is YOUR STORE! I don't even mail things regularly. But when I did, not only are you the one stop shop for all your shipping needs and more, but your customer service is always a 100%. I knew I loved your store, but didn't really know how much I would miss it. My usps is actually very pleasant and small here, but I couldn't just buy my simple brown large envelopes there. I did what I would do at goin postal! I just brought my documents and shipping label, normally with you, I'd hand you guys my documents, buy an envelope with you, and you guys would take care of the rest including tape my label on. Where do I initiate the process? It began with addressing my shipping and printing needs. Then, in February, I encountered Girl Scout cookies, and now I am aware of their availability every late winter. Currently, Greg has accomplished something remarkable for the West Bloomfield schools transportation department. Unfortunately, a driver passed away due to a sudden illness. My colleagues and I approached Greg about designing a banner featuring her picture. We informed him of our grief, and he promptly created a beautiful banner. The design was impeccable, and we used it to decorate her bus, create t-shirts, and plan to hang it in our lounge as a permanent tribute. Thank you, Greg, for exceeding our expectations. I have to say, that my experience with Goin' Postal was great. I had a very heavy, unusual shipment that was way too daunting for me to do, and usually I do my own stuff. I dreaded even taking it in somewhere. But the customer service at Going Postal didn't flinch at handling it. Let me also say, it was at a busy time for them, too, and other customers were running in with their packaging emergencies at the 11th hour. Being a business owner, myself, I was very impressed with the fluidity of care so that everyone felt they would be helped in time. That was a juggling act, honestly. This place is just tremendous! Whatever you have to ship, they're there for you. You'll see the same friendly people, and they'll never say "no" to anything. Dropping off prepaid returns? Great! Need a box and packing? Great! Shipping something fragile and needing careful packaging? They're on it. They will choose from UPS, USPS, FedEx, DHL to get you the best shipping option. They are reliable and efficient. I have never had a box mishandled or lost, or faced any impatience when I bring in ten Zappos boxes. We have been using Goin' Postal since they first opened! At first I couldn't believe one store could ship through any carrier at any time, including the US Postal Service!! We love the fact that they can check prices and delivery times from all companies in a few seconds so you can choose the price depending on how fast you want it there. They have saved us a lot of money over the years!!! It is so convenient, there is rarely a line and if so only a person or two. I have never waited more than a couple minutes. This is my go-to spot for all of my shipping needs! Everything starts at the top with the wonderful owner Greg. Him and his staff are professional, courteous, knowledgeable and do their best to take care of you. I have read some of the other reviews below mine and am completely baffled at some of the remarks. To Alicia S who states she supports small businesses , it is highly irresponsible to leave such distasteful comments and to take zero responsibility. Item arrived in excellent condition as respresented. Seller did and excellent job on the listing with many pictures and descriptions. Packing was good enough to survive the FedEx process, although the exterior box took a beating. Seller communication was helpful and responsive. I've been going to Goin Postal since they opened! I've never had a bad experience! As a matter fact the staff has always been very knowledgeable and friendly. Even the owner is very hands-on!! It's also very clean and much less hectic than the post office. It's much easier, quicker and cheaper than anywhere else! I've also use them to make banners for different events. Goin' Postal is my go to spot, I'm literally there once a week for anything from shipping, passports, signs and banners... they literally do it all! My fiancé made a customized menu and banner when he proposed and everyone loved it. The customer service is great, Greg is always willing to help packaging stuff up for me making sure that it's secure and getting where it needs to go. I never looked forward to going to a post office. But Goin Postal is a pleasure to visit. The customer service is excellent and the people who work there are always so friendly and helpful. I can only speak from personal experience. I have been using Goin' Postal-West Bloomfield ever since they first opened their doors. I have never had a problem. The staff is very helpful and courteous. Art work, fragile items, etc. have always been carefully packaged on site and have all arrived in excellent condition. I prefer using their services rather than waiting in line at the Post office. I am willing to pay an additional fee for the convenience. read more

This is my favorite place to go for all my postal needs. They provide good advise on the best way to send something, and they help with packaging when I need it. I've used a postal box there for a non-profit organization I managed, and they were kind enough to mail the contents once a month when the responsibility for it's contents went to someone else. Had to ship a framed poster ( 35" x 38") to California. Greg and his Team offered a reasonable packing charge and found FedEx to be cost effective. My client in California recieved the poster in great condition and remarked he had never seen such effective and thorough packaging. I love Goin' Postal! The employees are super friendly and helpful, they even package and box up your stuff for you. Stamps are discounted and they have a bunch of supplies there if you need anything. I finally don't mind having to mail packages and Goin' Postal has made this possible. They always seem to know when to expect a rush and have extra clerks on hand. They research possible ways to send and provide choices based on price and time it will take for package to arrive.
