I like this FedEx office space because it's spacious and, more importantly, open on Sundays. My printer died a while ago, and I needed to print some tax documents for the second most wonderful time of the year (ya know, the first being Christmas/winter, etc.). I like that the store clusters the printers together near the center. I also liked the paper clips and stapler I could use for free to keep my documents in order. Unfortunately, there is no computer to use. Send your documents to Printandgo@fedex.com from your phone (or computer at home) and give it a couple of minutes to return with a numeric code to put into the FedEx printer keypad. Once you've given your credit card over to the machine, you can print out as many documents as you like up to the amount you've authorized on your card. This store also has plenty of mailing supplies you can buy, as well as greeting cards, books, stationery, and batteries! The tracker indicates that the package has been traveling around the country from Ohio to Kentucky, Indiana, California, back out to Illinois and Kansas. I try to fight it. But Change happens nonetheless. And though it pains me to admit, sometimes, like here at FedEx, the Change is for the better. See, this place used to be a Kinkos Copy Store. Back in the day, back before computers and printers became ubiquitous, Kinkos was a huge deal. Kinkos was also a huge pain in the ass. It always seemed to me like it was run by Hippies. If there's anything I hate worse than Change, it's Hippies. And to me, Kinkos was as Hippie as a business can get and still function as a business. So when FedEx bought out Kinkos the Change didn't bother me a bit. I was happy to see Kinkos pack up their stupid copy machines into their fleet of VW busses and head off to Woodstock or The Garden, or wherever the hell it is that Hippies are always trying to get back to. Getting anything accomplished at Kinkos always seemed like a damn Chore. Getting something done at FedEx is a Breeze. Customer Service at this store us exemplary. Unlike Kinkos, the place seems adequately staffed. And the staff keeps the shelves well-stocked. Recently I needed to mail a product back to the manufacturer. The package had one of those pre-paid mailing labels. When I arrived there were two customer service agents helping customers at the counter. I was like, cool, no line, I'm next. But then, a third customer service agent came from behind the counter, walked up to me and asked if he could be of service. When I explained I was just dropping off a prepaid package he took me to a nearby machine and scanned my package into the system. I accepted his offer of a printed receipt and I was on my way home before either of the two customers that were being waited on when I walked in had finished their business. They charge more money after the original package slip is generated. They claim the package is more weight than the packing slip and charge you more money after they deliver the package. This has happened on several occasions. I recommend they get there scales recalibrated or stick to the actual price they generate the packing slip for. I have personally lost faith. I gave FedEx a one star because they actually got my package to the recipient without further issue. read more

There have been several times where I lost a package and I needed to call someone. Always Fedex. Do not call this office, do not call any Fedex numbers, they will either put you on with an AI who doesn't understand a single thing you're saying, or someone with an accent who is not even based in America. If you've shipped something through Fedex and you've lost it -- you are OUT OF LUCK!!! I had to call the Chewy website to get a reimbursement on a package Fedex lost, guess what? They lost the new reimbursed item too! I have never had as many issues with shipping and receiving as I have with Fedex. We ordered a mattress from Wayfair. The next delivery date for FedEx was Friday when we were going to be out of town. We were advised that we could put the item on vacation hold and have it delivered on Monday. Well Monday has passed,and Tuesday has passed and after waiting both days there is no mattress. Both companies claim that the item is available for pickup (not delivery). That was not the agreement!!!!! We don't have the means to pick it up. Now after making numerous calls and waiting both days we are faced with having to make more calls, waiting all day for delivery, etc. We have holiday plans and visitors arriving tomorrow.. Everyone involved has been totally incompetent and not helpful at all!!! read more

Customer Service is really bad. Be prepared to be ignored when you walk in to drop off packages for shipment at FedEx. It happened to me 2 days ago. The assistant manager dani, finally came over to scan my packages and assured me that they would go out on one of the 2 trucks that was at the facility loading up boxes. This was untrue. My packages sat at the facility for more than 24 hours and were finally picked up the next day at 6:06 pm. Bummed about the delay. I contacted the store to find out if i somehow missed the last shipment pick up time. Nope. Dani just dropped the ball and did not follow through on making sure these packages were loaded on to the truck. If you want to share feedback with fedex to help rectify the issue in the future, they connect you with an "offshore" agent who reads a script to you and then claims to file a formal complaint for you. All around frustrating experience with these guys :( read more

FedEx bought out Kinkos and does an ok job, but I liked it more before. But I still come here whenever I need to do a bunch of copies, or do my Pig Party invites each year. With copying technology going more digital every year, they are now down to just 4 actual old fashioned copiers. And my one bitch is that the copiers are set on such short timers that when making a cut and paste masterpiece like my Pig Party invites, you have to slide your credit card in and out of it every 2 minutes... The printing service does very nice work, great place to get flyers made. They also do FedEx shipping. read more

I was in a bit of a hurry and just wanted to make a ton of copies so I set myself up at a self-service copy machine and tried to get it to work. I'd get through all the selections and then just could not get it to start copying. I looked around but none of the available employees were visible. I ended up walking to the service counter and one of the two guys at the back (both appeared to be standing around talking to each other) came over to help me. I explained my issue and he checked to make sure all the selections had been made properly. They had. Then he pressed the start button and of course it worked for him. He commented that the machine I was at had a bit of a sticky button and that I needed to press it firmly. I felt embarrassed and frustrated. The copies were inexpensive and the machine spat them out pretty quickly. The quality was fine. I would have enjoyed my visit better if staff had been easier to locate or had offered help to me without my having to hunt them down, and if the machine with the difficult button had had a sign posted to inform users to press the button firmly so I didn't have to go and look like an idiot who can't press a button on my own. The staff member did provide me with a box when I asked for a paper bag or something to carry my 300 new copies home in. Since the sign in the window claims they sell office supplies I asked if they sold rolls of paper towels. They did not, though the employee did offer to give me a few of the ones the store has for their own uses. Since I needed a whole roll, I politely declined. FedEx bought Kinko's and its 850 stores in 2004, and for 4-10 years the stores were named FedEx / Kinko's. Kinko's means "SHARED WORKSPACE". For the past year, FedEx has been losing out to Amazon and UPS, and profiting less due to higher labor and gas/fuel costs. Nine (9) months ago, this FedEx began posting signs inside in the workspace area saying "No loitering" and the like. A few days ago, this FedEx removed all of its public work spaces. The big signs promising and promoting the words "This is your space to plug in and get stuff done" were not only removed, but the lack of work space and the removal of the sign saying "Workstations" finished the point. FedEx doesn't want to exist as a Shared Workspace. If you need to copy, print, scan, fax, etc., then you better come prepared and ready to only use the machines for copying, printing, scanning, faxing and the like and do no work preparing. The prices on office supplies remain high. There are plenty of books for sale that no one is buying. Still lots of passport photographs being taken. But, the message is loud and clear--DON'T EVEN THINK ABOUT DOING ANY WORK HERE. read more

I called and spoke with(I forgot his name, but he was polite and professional) an employee who asked me to call back at 10(it was around 9) and speak with NIck, the manager. Nick actually prempted my call by calling me. I described the situation and it was handled that day. Mistakes happen, but the way they are addressed is very important. It makes sense this place has terrible reviews. I went today with my printed return label and box that just needed quick taping to be sent back. There were two people ahead of me with complicated orders. I stood there for 20 minutes as the line grew behind me. Finally a worker who had not been helping anyone came and asked if anyone had a drop off that just needed a receipt. Relieved I said yes. I walked up to the counter and he said rudely "Oh no, this needs taping. Nope. Get back in line" then proceeded to ask other people behind me for drop offs first. It took him all of 30 seconds to tape my box. It was embarrassing and extremely rude. Definitely will never use them again. read more

This is my office away from home! I love the self-serve stations available for customers. Typically when I'm experiencing printer problems at home, which is often, I utilize the services offered at the FedEx Office Center. I just walk in and go to one of the printer stations and swipe my debit card, plug in my thumb drive and define what documents I want printed. And- PRESTO!! It's done! Same for the photo stations. They have faxing stations too! All your business or personal needs can be accommodated there. If you're a little more technically challenged, the FedEx crew is on stand-by to assist you. Sitting in my truck on hold while I write this. I've been trying to get my pictures printed for a Christmas gift for 4 days straight. I've visited the store 4 days in a row and been on 3-5 calls a day since day 1. I've given them the photos 3 different ways through email. Instructions to just about everyone at the store. We've hand selected them all twice and confirmed the sizes about 4 times. I've already paid for the photos that they have messed up 3 times. First day they printed the wrong size files, day two they didn't print anything, day three still nothing, day 4 they said they were done but someone cut them all the wrong size and need to be redone. I finally get the clear they're done tonight, and they only complete 2/3s of the order. They have well meaning nice staff, they've been very apologetic, but at this point it's incompetence and lack of/ terrible communication between shifts. The technology at self serve is about 15 years behind. My phone crashed their computers every attempt. My photos came out dimmer and less vivid and colorful than the file. The 5x7s were cut like a 5th grade arts and crafts project with frayed edges. I keep lol'ing because it's unbelievable. I believe Barbara was helping me and the only staff calling and updating with all the bad news, she really did try to make it right, refunded the work they didn't do and discounted the work they messed up. Which I really appreciate. But at the end of the day do not even think about trying to save a buck at Fed Ex. read more

DEFAULT SETTING ON PRINTANDGO IS COLOR!! Before I could recall the print job from the code they emailed me, the printing started. I just paid $25.86 for 25 copies. Yes, I was sleepy but we mostly go to a print center after exhausting ourselves with either our own printers failing or after staring at a monitor too long. Also only 2 staff for entire store so gave up purchase of clearance journal after that. So aggravating!! read more

I shipped a joint Christmas/Birthday package from Washington state on the 15th of Dec.(2017) so that my family would receive it in time for the occassions. My family was in the Thomas Fire, and short of being in a 'war zone', they weren't able to shop, put up a tree, lights or any holiday decorations this year. Their only Christmas was in the gifts that I was able to ship them with FedEx's assurance they would arrive on time. FedEx charged me $80 for my box from Washington on 10/15, and it arrived in Ventura on 10/18 then sat for 3 days while road closures were considered, I'm sure. But then, it was put on the truck and taken to the residence in Ojai and NOT left because no-one was home, they were out walking on another part of the property looking for hot spots. I don't think the driver was trying very hard. A few more delivery attempts were made before my family member called to arrange customer pickup at this Ventura office. I can see on my computer in the FedEx notes that pickup was arranged, but some dingbat put it back on the truck. So while she was in Ventura to pick up my package, the driver was back at the house and didn't leave the package again because ... you guessed it, NO-ONE WAS HOME to sign for it. This is a rural address and quite off the beaten path with an electric gate. The next day my family member traveled through road blocks again to get to Ventura only to discover the package was back on the truck, and yesterday her daughter attempted to pick it up, and well....despite the notes to hold it for Customer Pickup, someone had it put back on the vehicle! Now today is the 29th. Christmas is over, the birthday was yesterday and that too is past, I'm out 80 bucks shipping to assure it would arrive on time and it didn't. All I wanted to do was give my family a spark of hope for a Christmas this year and FedEx screwed us all ! I called FedEx to complain and spoke to an individual in Pennsylvania who was not in the least concerned about the incident only to add condolences for what we have gone through with the devastation of the wildfires. No compensation was offered whatsoever. Customer support is not what is used to be. I suggest UPS for all your shipping needs. Don't use FedEx and if you do, don't use this Ventura office! read more
