This is a great location specifically cause of an employee named MICHELLE I never used to use Fedex cause of past experiences but this location completely changed my perception and specifically cause of an employee named Michelle. Michelle is awesome, she always immediately greets you and ask to help. She has a great attitude and work ethic. She is so intelligent and efficient and now I started using Fedex more than UPS. This is a great location also with ample parking and an easy to use Kiosk etc., and never to crowded with great hours. However and id like to reiterate if you quality care, efficiency and know your needs are met and package is being securely sent - Michelle ensures that and is a great representation for this location and Fedex as a whole! Sent trade in phone to samsung from here. Samsung received the box sealed with nothing inside. Fedex did an investigation and found that either the package was sent empty or a samsung employee stole it. The manager here bobby, billy, bufford whatever his name was and i talked on the phone. He was suuuuuper defensive. He said he knows nobody there stole it. I asked if he watches 8 hours of camera footage everyday, his response yes. Lmao. I told him thats fine, I'll come by and file a police report. I walked in, he was shaky, i didnt even tell him the exact date or time i came in over the phone. I get there and i establish i just called. He said "so i just watched the camera" date and time may be slightly off, but he continued "You came in at 1130am on tuesday. The video shows my employee sealing it in front or you and setting it in our outgoing box for pick up, where it remained untouched." I came in like a whole week and a half later. How did dude know exactly who i was and what daye and time it was when he wasnt even the one who helped me. Then he tried to lie and say its samsung who will bite the loss and that i shouldnt worry. I reassured him, nope theyre charging me 900 for sending an empty box. read more

I needed to get some old pictures scanned to make a memorial poster for my father-in-law's Celebration of Life (which is tomorrow). I was going to make a collage myself and glue the photos, etc. The manager, Billy, went above and beyond, and not only scanned photos for me, but was able to compile all of the photos and make a large picture collage on poster board. He even rushed it so that I can have it ready this afternoon. It looks really nice. What a weight that has been lifted, and now we can really honor my father-in-law properly. I don't know what location my Fedex driver is from, however any and all packages I have the driver brings it to my residence on time all the time. No matter how many packages I have they always make sure I get them on time. If the driver doesn't know where I live exactly then the driver leaves it at the local Post office so I can pick it up! That's customer Service. Last time the driver had thrown it over our gate so the rep that I talked to made sure that they didn't just leave it at my residence or throw it over the gate again, if I weren't home, the driver left it at the local Postal Office and I got it when I returned! It was complicated, and the Fed Ex people behind the counter went out of there way to get my picture transferred, and the copies made. Five Stars overall?! How could it be??? I was a bit suspect when searching out a location to send off my sons heavy and awkwardly shaped birthday gift and found a FedEx Shipping Center with a solid Five Stars. Only three reviews? Psh...well, it is convenient...let's check it out. Located in a hidden and awkwardly occupied strip mall off of hard to access Johnson Ave. in El Cajon this shipping center is tiny to say the least. Already familiar with the area I had an idea where it was, but be warned if you are following Siri or some other GPS - the shop is hidden behind a boot store and an XL store. I made my way through the torn up and overly bumpy parking lot and found an easy space right in front of the door to the center. I walked in without my awkward package contents and was greeted by Billy who had just walked from the back room after finishing what can only be assumed was a delightful treat. I explained my conundrum to Billy who kindly suggested we go have a look at the package. I opened my car door and without hesitation he assured me he could ship it. We grabbed the would-be package contents and went back into the tiny shop. Billy disappeared for a moment and reappeared with a blatantly labeled FedEx box. He placed the largest of the contents in and decided it wasn't the best fit. He told me not to fret and disappeared again into the back vortex of the shop. Billy appeared a short while later with what appeared to be a large bicycle box. He quickly loaded the contents and provided extra boxes and packaging at no extra cost. Billy custom cut down the box so each of the contents were nice and snug and explained that I would be saving a pretty penny shipping in this method as well as having a better bed for the contents for the rough trip ahead. The bill was reasonable, and the experience cemented my future shipping destination decisions. Thanks to Billy who was able to provide that extra perfect customer service to me while simultaneously his obvious regular customers. Saying that I will be back is an understatement. read more

The fact that this place has anything more than one star blows my mind. The "Center manager" continued to multitask and help others. While attempting to help others, he began to upset the people in line that he kept forgetting about, myself included. He passed myself and others four times and on the fourth time I confronted him about it. He then said he had to multitask to help everybody. I then said yes but you can't forget about the people that have been waiting in line. A gentleman unknowingly walks in to have something done, the manager walks from his original position and walked by the gentleman, helps him immediately and the gentleman is in and out in under 90 seconds. This mind you after I had been waiting for more than 15 minutes watching all this transpire. I asked him have you ever thought about a ticket taking system, or hiring additional staff? He continued to make excuses and be confrontational. I obviously left and will only use my regular FedEx location on convoy Avenue. I don't often write one star views however, with this warranted my opinion. read more
