Also shout outs of course to KJ and his entire team of movers for being professional, fast and ready to do whatever is needed to help us. We have heard that their prices are a little more than other companies, but the work ethic and details easily make it worth it! Inept team was getting conflicting direction from the office and continued confusion throughout the load. It took 45 minutes for one of them to wrap a TV... then he gave a second TV to us and said he couldn't wrap it and we would have to carry it in the car. Upcharged us for boxes and blankets we didn't order or use. My furniture was damaged and badly scratched and gouged... decor was broken and containers were crushed. They were dishonest about the cost and my final bill for a job quoted at the $350-$600 range was almost triple that cost. I called and complained and the manager said that he would get back to me.... cricket. DON'T HIRE THEM.

They made clear efforts to be polite and respectful - little things like making sure we went through doors first when talking to them. We had a bit of a complicated move, they made sure they understood our goals and executed them better than we could have. I appreciated that they would good through each room with us before and after items were moved to confirm they were doing what we wanted. They saved us money by efficiently stacking everything both in the truck and in our storage units. We thought for sure we wouldn't be able to fit everything - but there was room to spare when tetris master Brittan was done with it. This was a far more positive experience than I'd have ever guessed. I'm pretty die hard with DIY approach to everything but this was money well spent.

After they left, my husband started going through the truck and saw that they had just placed things in the truck haphazardly and didn't stack from the bottom to the top so that there would be more room for other items. We realize that if my husband didn't intervene, half of our things were going to have to be left behind . My husband had to unload and load both the Pod and the truck, again, by himself. We were supposed to be on the road by noon. We got on the road at 9:30 that night. We ended up driving all night AND we arrived too late to move our things into the new home that has a strict HOA policy of moving only between the hours of 9 and 6 PM. So we couldn't move any of our things in until the next day. The folks that were supposed to help us move in that day weren't available the next day. This was a nightmare. These guys were terrible.

Called Two Men and had a good call with the office staff who were more than willing to help me schedule a move that worked with my timetable. Truck with 3 guys showed up when they said they would, and I feel bad because I'm terrible with names, but Ryan and his crew did an outstanding job. They hustled, they took care with fragile stuff, they packed and protected things as one would hope. I wouldnt have expected to start in Hudson about 9:00 and see the truck driving away from Dyersville in the early afternoon, but it happened and it included dropping some stuff off at a storage unit. Even more then that, the price came in well below the estimate, so those guys busted their hind ends and I'm grateful for the help and taking one more worry out of a move for me Glad I went back to 2 men and a truck out of Waterloo for I think the third time.

Badger Bros was cheaper, but it showed. They barely wrapped furniture (one or two passes) and damaged several pieces. They also deposited boxes randomly, even though all boxes were labeled and color-coded for location; we are still finding boxes coded for the attic in the basement (or vice versa), which we then have to haul up or down multiple flights of stairs. Two Men literally cocooned our belongings (not a scratch!) and put everything where it belonged. They were highly professional, efficient, and lived up to their motto, "movers who care."

The day of the move I hadn't heard anything so I messaged about an hour before the scheduled time. Didn't get any answer. 15 mins before the movers called and tried to cancel because it was "suppose" to rain. I told them I didn't have any other chose because I had to be out that day. They finally showed up, walked around the apartment and said I had too much big items and they wouldn't take it all. We didn't have any other choice so we told them just take what they would. After loading 15 boxes they said they wouldn't take the clothes. When we questioned why at this point they got mad about asking a question and said they wouldn't move us. Said they are not "slaves". I don't think asking people to move the items they are getting paid to move should make them feel like slaves. Needless to say they left without moving anything leaving us last minute moving everything on our own. Tried to reach back out to company and have had no response in three weeks.

The foreman on the job actually told us it was 7 hours. I was initially impressed, except one portable storage cupboard was left behind. We were told that a worker would come the next day to move it, but that didn't happen, and no one called. Hmmmmm. I knew then that something wasn't right. After a few calls the owner said that there were 5 men on the job (not true), and he also quoted a higher price per hour to justify the $315 overcharge. If you are planning a move, be sure to have a written agreement ahead of time as far as price per hour, number of workers, and any other essential details.

We were treated horribly by John, who had absolutely no concern that his staff did this. The detective updated me today 10/19 that none of the three movers will return his calls to discuss the theft.
