This place is the absolute worst. I didn't really read the reviews because I have been going to this place for years, shipping packages for both business and personal reasons. The service was a little gruff. But at least the people were good and professional. I shipped an overnight package for business purposes on Thursday, August 14. Tracking indicates that it never left the Elmsford facility. This worker named "Mustafa" told me I wasn't comprehending the tracking information. When in fact, the manager was able to discern that the package is located in Newark. This location seems to hire seriously uneducated, unprofessional, unkempt individuals. Elmsford NY, handles my FedEx home deliveries. The driver leaves the packages at the side road not at my home. My mailbox is even 2 hundred feet away. FedEx is being paid by the USPS to delivery these items. They have been dropped all around my neighborhood. Terrible service. read more

There is a serious lack of integrity at the Elmsford, NY FedEx location. Our packages are regularly listed as either attempt delivery, but business was closed, or correcting address for redelivery. This often happens two or even three days in a row. Aside from the inconvenience of the delayed delivery, we have paid staff to stay late awaiting packages that never arrive. We have cameras in our entry and on the street in front of our building that prove that no FedEx vehicles attempted delivery, additional confirmation of these fraudulent claims are that there are no notices left on the door relating to the attempted delivery. Based on my experience with this location, it appears they work when they want to, and just make up excuses for their driver just skipping some addresses. Due to the experience with this one location, we rarely use FedEx for shipping things and tell vendors shipping to us to use other providers when we can. It is deplorable that this one location can so drastically tarnish a brand that may otherwise be good. I've been waiting a week for a replacement debit card because this FedEx just can't figure things out. I fly out tomorrow and have no access to my money. The bank paid them $30 for overnight service a week ago and if they'd just sent it with a stamp in regular first class mail I would have had it a long time ago. FedEx, on the other hand, lost it and never left a door tag or even attempted delivery. The bank sent another overnight on Monday to be delivered by noon on Tuesday. Again I waited all day to get a notification that it was delayed in Newark. Wednesday I've been waiting all day again only to get the tracking change to "delayed." There's been no attempt. My building has a fancy intercom with a camera and delivery access codes. No door tag, no attempt to deliver, no notification in the app, nothing. I called FedEx and the first person said it was ready to pickup at a walgreens 2 blocks away, so I go there. It isn't there. FedEx hasn't been there yet today. Calling fedex on the way back they say it's in Elmsford at this ship center and want me to take a bus to get the package. So I go back up to the apartment and get my stuff to go get the next bus, but on the way out find there's now a door tag saying the debit card's being held at walgreens (again, no attempt to use the intercom system or delivery code) So I go to walgreens again and find that FedEx has delivered there, but not my debit card. Calling FedEx again they now have no idea if the debit card will ever be delivered to walgreens today or tomorrow or if it's still in Elmsford and they forgot to put it on the truck. I'm going to have to call the bank and have them cancel the card and ship a third one to the hotel and specify that under no circumstances should they use FedEx. I've used fed ex to ship on eBay for years and now I understand why they're cheaper than USPS: branches like this one. I'm changing all of my shipping policies to USPS or UPS. New employees beware. Makayla Brown is the manager I had orientation with whom was responsible for telling me my watches was not going to be a problem when it came to coming to work. Two weeks later December 26, 2020 I was told about a policy of no smart watches, that policy did not exist it was not communicated to me In any way since day one, not in my hand book not by any manager. I received a text message that I was on paid suspension and someone would contact me, they never contacted me. Next message from them was sending me a schedule and that was it. They never tried to contact me or resolve the situation by denying me access to the building for wearing my heart monitor watches. They can say I did my work and can tell you I was a model employee and hard worker. FedEx ground likes to change policies and make up rules as they go. They got upset and fired me because I spoke up for my self and spoke up against a policy that they tried to enforce that didn't exist. Tag left at my mailbox to collect a package. I called the Fed Ex Ship Center number who stated that the package would not be left at my doorstep unless someone was home. Fed Ex suggested I come by after 4pm up until 7pm to collect the package at their location. I ran my weekend errands, ending the day with a hike on up to Elmsford to find out that the package had been delivered - while I was out and left at my doorstep. This place is known for tampering with products and packages. I placed an order through a vendor for a very expensive item. My deliver date was Wednesday 5/11 and from the shipping activity I requested a further shipping date. Which was not requested by me, my order was tampered with and used. Since all the other reviews of this place are terrible I suspect that this one will do nothing except make me feel better, but that's okay so here we go. The "Delivery Manager" feature that they claim lets you customize delivery is the most useless waste of time and energy. Why do you even offer it as a service. It is completely ignored. I had a box of wine that was supposed to be delivered while I was out of town - someone over 21 needed to be there, and no one was available, so I got a notification that delivery was attempted but could not be delivered. Totally understandable and expected! That's precisely why I clicked on the "customize delivery with FedEx delivery manager!" link and signed up. Turns out, there was an option for it to be delivered to the Duane Reed down the street from me. Perfect! Let's do that. The next day: delivery attempted, package undeliverable. Uh, okay. Maybe they don't want to sign for alcohol. Let's choose the other option: vacation hold. Great! They will hold it for me until I'm back. The day after that: delivery attempted, package undeliverable. I explicitly gave them 2 viable options using the services they offer and and both of my requests were plainly ignored. I was excited when, 2 days later, I got an email saying it had been delivered to Duane Reed after all! Hooray! Except it wasn't. They did not have my package. Yes, the tracking info said it was delivered. When I called, they said "oh yeah, it was delivered, it was "delivered" back to the shipper." THAT'S NOT WHAT "DELIVERED" MEANS. If the tracking info had said "RETURNED TO SHIPPER" I wouldn't have run around like an idiot bothering confused and busy Duane Reed employees for a nonexistent package. If I could give -5 stars I would. I have been waiting now for 3 days for a package with no luck. We live in an apartment a floor above a store and a restaurant and even though I gave them explicit information as to find our apartment and the fact my wife and I have juggled our schedules around so that we are home, we still keep getting the answer "No one was there to sign for the package". FedEx Ground is becoming a joke in this area;the drivers know where nothing is, are known to leave packages in open vestibules and so on. And, based on the overall score they will not be surprised by this review, either, but they don't seem to care. FedEx has outsourced this type of delivery service to obviously the bottom feeders of the industry. Save yourself the hassle...spend the extra money and use anything else. The only thing good were the customer service people...they were professionals at apologizing for the ineptitude of the drivers...but, if I had as much practice as they obviously have, I, too, would be a virtuoso in the art of the apology. read more

Been waiting on a delivery for days. Sitting either outside or in the front room staring at every car that passes by. Seen USPS, UPS, Amazon multiple times. Sometimes twice on the same day. Seen Fedex deliver to my neighbors but they just toss and run before I can go out to talk.. Then like clockwork before 5p I get a message saying can't deliver because not home or business closed.. The warehouse in Elmsford suggest going the 50 miles and over an hr roundtrip to go pick it up in person. Why? Because the driver is incompetent? What was the point of paying for shipping?.. Not only that but the previous packages were just left on my door, one damaged by the wet surface, though it clearly states signature required. Wish the drivers would have to take a picture of their attempts to verify their actions and so residents can verify they are at the wrong address. If I could make this review less than one star, I would. At my home, there is always at least one person present all day. We spoke to your rude employee at 4:45 about a package they CLAIM to have attempted to deliver 4 (four) times. These deliverymen "attempted" 4(four) times but NOT ONCE did we receive a door tag or sticker indicating their attempts. For today's "attempt" (a lie obviously), all residents were present in the home as well as within hearing distance of the doorbell or any knocks. No one came to our door and on Fedex.com, it says they attempted at 3:25-3:30 P.M. ALL OF US WERE HOME. As a result, we called Fedex corp and were transferred to the Elmford location. The rude employee mentioned earlier was going back and forth with us because, again, we were trying to explain that we never received a door tag/sticker. This employee, male, made a rude comment: "Well ma'am, it is not our fault that people in your neighborhood steal." We have received countless packages from Fedex but never encountered a situation like this. This same rude employee transferred us to a manager who was: (1) not present and sent straight to voicemail and (2) the voicemail box was FULL. Fedex employees were no help in our situation as well as the deliverymen who blatantly lied about attempting to deliver the package, which again, left NO doortag/sticker if they HAD attempted.
