This is the second time I've had something delivered by fed ex and the second time it's been late . The only reason I am giving 4 stars is because of Sandy who turned a bad experience around! Like many of the reviews I've seen, I was home waiting on a package from my job( I work from home and needed this package in order to work). And it was a Friday and I received notification that the driver could not deliver my package because I was not at home. I was there with my dog and my son. For one, my dog would have barked if he had even come close to my door, let alone knock! He never came to my door and took a pic of my door at such an odd angle, I believe he never even got out of the truck! I called the 800 number and got even more irritating service. Then I received a call from Sandy that evening and was able to get my package. She listened to me and my desperation and actually helped me! My last 7 to 8 deliveries have been delayed. Their service/reliability has gone downhill. I've called to ask about my packages and got very lame excuses. No need to call anymore. That just makes me more frustrated. UPS and USPS are far more reliable than FEDEX. I will never ship with them and if I had my choice I would ask others to use UPS or USPS. read more

If I could give zero stars, I would. This is the forth day that I've received an email telling me my package is being delivered. This is the forth day that it WAS NOT delivered. The FedEx facility is literally 5 miles from my home and I am unable to drive there to pick it up due to recently having surgery. The service is deplorable! BEWARE....!!!!! A worker at this location is attempting to steal my son's Play Station this weekend....!! They literally lied/made notes saying they "attempted delivery" to his apartment. We have cameras and management and there has been absolutely NO ONE from FedEx there...! Management verified this as they have been awaiting delivery. They then told our shipper someone went online online and requested the package to be delivered at a later date...and that there were no attempts made. Which one is it..?? A very small office that takes a long time to get your packages mailed off. Customer service was very good, but the office seemed short on supplies and short on staff to help get the line of customers taken care of. I recommend to ensure you have plenty of time to mail your stuff out, and know that in some cases it will be more expensive than USPS especially shipping overseas read more

Tried to retutn a rug just like it was packaged but FED EX turned me away saying it needed to be wrapped in paper for them to take it. When they delived it to me it did not have paprer wrapping. Lady acted like she did not even want to help. Just wanted to back to her office in the rear. read more

Dude at counter: very nice. Process that he was having to try and explain to me...the worst. I mean, delivering things when you say you are delivering them...it's a W or a L. I do t mind delivery missed due to needing a signature...but when you then leave a tag...with specific directions on when/where to go...and then I get there and the thing is not there for me to pick up....and "all I need to do is come back in an hour"...we'll I just drive 30 min. So. Bottom line, just because they give you specific directions on how to do their job for them by taking your time and gas to come pick up the thing they know they have, and Jan of where it is...it may, in fact not be there anyway. Unfriendly and unhelpful. My printer was down, and so I could not print the "Return" label for a vendor. So I show up and ask for help. Refused. Asked for manager. Even less helpful. When I then asked for the number of the District manager, she said she didn't know it. Ywah, right.. So.. I am now, 3 days later posting my review. I have yet to have a positive experience ar this FedEx. Btw, UPS onxe gladly scanned a barcode in a email and printed it out for me on another occasion without a hitch. They don't deliver on the day they're supposed to. It says 'on truck for delivery', they don't show up, then it shows an exception, then it's delivered the next day or the whole process repeats once more before it's finally delivered. They push/scrape large packages up the front steps, destroying the porch finish, rather than carrying them. I have a huge covered porch, and rather than leave packages under the overhang, they place them on the very edge, where it's uncovered and they get ruined in the rain. read more

If I could give this FedEx a 0 star I would. I cannot speak against all contractors at this sight, but please beware of Randy and Mike at this facility if you are looking for employment. This contractor is very unprofessional with little to no training and then expect you to know everything after only a couple of days. If you ask questions you get an attitude. Randy cusses you out if he does not agree with something you say even when you are trying to understand your job better. This contractor has a reputation of the mistreatment of employees and hopefully if enough former employees express their concerns their contract with FedEx will not be renewed. read more

I regret ever utilizing this service. They are long on promise and terribly slow on delivery. It amazes me that such and incompetently run business can stay afloat. They use any and every excuse to not actually do the job they get paid for. They only deliver if and when they feel like doing so, no matter what you pay for. It's gotten to the point where I find out what carrier a company uses now before ordering anything online and either won't order from my normal go to's or will directly request another option to ship my packages. I live in an apartment with an outside security door, and leave a note- big enough, darkly enough written- obviously to FedEx for them to call me when the package delivers-- with my phone number-- but they leave a missed delivery notification stuck to the window-- right next to the note with the phone number. And that's even if it's the same day- because their tracking information tells you the package is out for delivery but then it will actually show up 3 days later!! Y'know whenever they feel like it. They've also left the package sitting out in the rain!! In front of the outside door-- in front of the sign w my phone number asking to please call me. The packages are also beat up!! Everyone I've gotten has been ripped or broken open somehow- it really is like that opening scene from the movie Pet Detective! I can't stand FedEx! read more

After reading some of the reviews. The reviews are unfair. It appears, most of the reviews are referring to FedEx Ground. Which is located on Floyd Thompson Blvd. Not at the FedEx Express Ship Center, located on Magruder Blvd. Two different companies. Under the same umbrella, FedEx. When you use the cheapest service, you get what you pay for. It's unrealistic to expect premium service on a dime. FedEx Ground is like USPS, you're package arrives when they have time to deliver it. I've had so many packages get damaged or destroyed, not delivered and delayed for days, I've been lied to, I've had packages say someone attempted to deliver but no one was home (even when I'm standing in my driveway as the truck goes by), I've had packages say they were delivered and not show up for two weeks later, and packages left at the base of my mailbox on a busy highway. The FedEx call center is no better as they also lie to you and ignore your complaints about a location/driver. I understand how stressful the times are and I understand that drivers are being overworked more than most people, but these issues have been going on for almost a decade, far before the pandemic, and have continued to get worse for years. If I could avoid having packages delivered by FedEx I would, but that's pretty hard to do when I need to order things online and can't choose what service they go through. Something needs to change at this FedEx location ASAP, as I fear how much worse it could become at the current rate. Bad customer service and sarcasm. This is my story. I ordered a track suit from adidas they sent the items in two separate orders. Received the bottoms last week. Did not like the way they fit. Started a return on adidas website. Adidas sent a QR code for FedEx to scan for return. Took package to FedEx no problem. FedEx employee (a really nice gentlemen) greeted me with a smile and scanned my QR code and printed the label placed it on my package and printed a receipt. I thanked him departed smiling and happy. This week I received the second part of the order the jacket.... Didn't like the way the jacket fit. Started another return on adidas website, again adidas sent me a QR code for FedEx to scan for return. Took the package to the same FedEx store. Had to wait in my car because FedEx didn't open until 8:30. At 8:30 I walked up to store and there's a sign...only two customers allowed in store at a time...Okay I wait in line for about 6 or 7 minutes. Once the two customers depart the store I enter. I say good morning to the FedEx employee. She is scanning packages and looks at me and says can I help you? I say I have a return and show her the QR code on my phone. She said she we can't scan that QR code here you will have to go to the FedEx store at oyster point (Newport News) about a 15 minute drive. I say but I just brought a return package here last week and the gentleman scanned my phone..again she said we can't scan that QR code here you will have to go to the store at oyster point...I was surprised. I stood there for a second and then turn and walk away...she yells out to me as I am exiting the door...you have a nice day ma'am! I am always polite and friendly when I go into stores, businesses and other establishments but the customer service at this FedEx store shocked and surprised me! If I could leave zero stars then I would. My package has been at this warehouse for over 8 days now, and it still hasn't been scanned to be put on the truck and delivered to my house. I've spoken with 3 different customer service reps that guaranteed my delivery. Lied to three times by a company is absolutely absurd. I will never use FedEx again for anything, and I will never recommend anyone else to use them either. The warehouse is 30 minutes away from my house and it's been over 8 days. Unacceptable. Twice this week I received an email from Fedex advising that a package I was expecting was delivered at a specific time and date. In the first cased, it was expensive gear from Netgear. I contacted Walmart and advised them and they processed a refund. Two days later, it arrived and I had to have Walmart re-charge my card. Today I received an email from Fedex advising that a shipment from a coffee company had been delivered at 3:07 PM today. It was not. I now suspect that Fedex falsely reports to the companies they ship for that their packages are delivered long before they actually even put them on the truck. It is dishonest and a disservice to the companies and to those who are expecting secure, honest delivery services. read more

So far very disappointed with the Hampton fed-x. My package shipped from Michigan has sat in the Hampton 61 Floyd Thompson Blvd warehouse for over a week. Apparently Fed-X has lost my box. it contained a printer that has probably been dropped, kicked around and damaged after being in the warehouse for over a week. It was difficult to get a real customer service person. I understand that the CS person can only do so much and that they tried to help me. But the warehouse manager and the workers should be more careful about the boxes in their care. FED-X should be able to track a package. read more

I have used FedX lots of times but the employees off of 134 at both locations need some serious training. The ones working the front counter on 10/12/2012 at 10:00am totally suck I have worked for the public for 43 years and know how hard it is to work with the public but their treatment is terrible. Who in there right mind would want to pay for this kind of treatment. Their customer service on the phone is what, like totally useless. That is a total waste of time and all they want to ask you is what is your tracking number and that is where it stops. Do yourself a favor and request alternate carriers when you are purchasing online. I order a new bed for my daughter and received 2 out 3 boxes yesterday (2/9/17). When I went and tracked the third box the driver had put incorrect address. Which is a lie. The driver transferred two out of the three boxes to another truck because he did not want to deliver to my home address. I DO NOT live in bad area. In fact there is only one other house on our street. Spoke to Jessica (Supervisor) today and she advised box will be sent out for delivery tomorrow because the Hampton Depot has no drivers available to deliver. I will also contact the company I purchased the bed from and let them know. Fed Ex has become a huge disappointment. The driver that refused to deliver all 3 boxes from the beginning should be fired.
