I attempted to mail a very valuable package from Colorado to this UPS location in Newport News. The UPS store here said it would be no problem and they would probably charge a small fee to hold the package until the recipient could pick it up. Fortunately, I called this UPS store this morning and spoke to Connie, who was very nice. She informed me that they DO NOT hold packages unless someone has a mailbox there, which you have to purchase for a 3 month period. She double-checked with her boss who confirmed that they will not provide this service of holding a package. Thank goodness I was able to run back to the UPS store in Colorado and get my package back. They said that they were surprised that the Newport News store would not do this, because all the stores are supposed to per corporate UPS. I will be contacting UPS corporate and inform them about this incident at the Newport News store. I understand that they are independently owned and operated, but there are policies that are supposed to be followed! This is a very special gift for a recent US Air Force Academy graduate currently serving as an officer in Virginia. It's too bad UPS Newport News could not be accommodating for something so small. read more

Convenient in-store drop-off. Packing material available. P.O. box rentals if you need. Friendly staff at the counter. Most times there's a line to be served. If you're simply dropping off a package for delivery that is pre-paid, you can move right to the front. No hassles there. What more is there to say? Enjoy. read more

I've been to several UPS stores in this area to make meeting materials and finalize my presentation this particular store has had the best customer service and recommendations to streamline and make my process for retrieving documents so much faster special shout out and thanks to Jackie please be sure to see her she's a fantastic associate and a great example of customer service read more

I had a package shipped here. Received a notification by UPS that it was delivered and available for pickup. Showed up 45 minutes after receiving the notification the package arrived and was ready. The rude manager quickly checked a shelf and said "Your sh!t out of luck I don't have it" I politely questioned him about the message I received saying it was ready. He replied, "You saw me check the f**king shelf it is not here" My wife asked him if he can look in the system. He said that they are not affiliated with UPS they are an independent store. I finally go in touch with UPS and they told me they show it is delivered and they can't do anything about it. Once the store has it it is out of their hands. I pushed even more and finally found out that all the stuff is delivered in one big shipment to the UPS stores and can take up to 2 days to sort out. My question why pay for the convenience of shipping this way if it ends up taking longer. Guess I am sending and getting my packages a different way from now on read more

Only putting one star because I have to hit one RUDEST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER, Wouldn't even look for my package that was delivered there. I've had nothing but issues at ONLY this location for over 6 weeks. Written formal complaint to corporate has happened and after this morning Will be happening again. Awesome! They can ship everything not just ups. I was able to mail my USPS items here too. Which is great because they are open until 7 pm Monday through Friday. The staff are all able to notarize documents though cost is $5.00 per form. But if you need it ASAP I would highly recommend. And... They have packing materials too. One stop shipping!! read more

My fiancé and I just moved to town, and was very unfamiliar with the area so this location was a little bit odd. If you didn't know where you were going, it would be hard to spot out considering it is in the middle of a strip mall. But, every transaction that has been made here has been nothing but a breeze. The staff members are very friendly and make you feel like your item(s) are a priority, so they handle them with great care. The store hours are also very convenient, considering most don't get off of work until around 5:00pm, and this location is open until 7:00pm M-F. read more

Horrible Customer Service! They don't explained the differences in shipping as being the supposably experts. It was a MUST that my package be delivered. I paid for the 2 day delivery, now that I'm told its going to take four days instead of the 2 day delivery I paid for its being explained I could have sent it air versus ground. The difference was never explained or I would have chose air due to the importance of the package delivery. I Will Never use UPS ever again! read more

So many problems shipping and the receiver had problems receiving. No communications or feedback when store says they will call you and then they do not, days later calling the main UPS line for any feedback. Customer service in the store is okay until you complain about their services rendered. WILL pass on all UPS services from this store from now on. No exceptions! read more

Every time I go there the staff is super nice and helpful. They really make it a pleasant experience and I've never had a package not reach its destination. read more
