If FedEx Portland went out of business, I wouldn't lose any sleep over it. UPS and USPS have yet to lose any of my packages, but not FedEx. They excel at incompetence! When I first called FedEx to check on my delivery delay, of course I reached an Indian call center (for a package that had already arrived at the Portland shipping center; it makes no sense). The gentleman I spoke with there was willing to escalate the issue (I think he called it a "strike tag"). This process took 15 minutes. About 5 minutes after that call, I received a call from another FedEx Rep. After discussing the missing delivery, telling her twice who it was from, putting me on hold twice for a total of 40 minutes, she told me that she was deleting the escalation, and that this was simply due to weather delays. I told her that the package was already in Portland according to the tracking report, and that the snow that had initially caused the delay had been gone for 11 days. Her tone was unbelievably smarmy; she told me that they were just behind and that it would get to me. When I said I was concerned that it was lost, she said point-blank, "it's not lost, they're just behind." In any case, after an hour on the phone, I was no further along than when I started. A week later, I called again. Same answer. We have now arrived at the one month marker since a single delivery attempt was aborted due to weather, and there's still no sign of the shipment. As instructed by the last rep, today I called the original shipper and asked them to file a claim with FedEx. They will send me a replacement order. Suffice it to say, a company more focused on giving you the run-around than actually resolving your concern, and one that makes you wait a month to file a lost delivery, has grown too big to care about it's customers. FedEx has been good in the past but this year they keep losing packages. When you call they say it's there but they don't know where. That continues for additional 10 days and then they say fill a report as its lost. This has happend with two of my orders just in the last three months. Oh, if you call more then one time, they will tell you different stories. You then have have to reorder the product again and maybe you get it in two months from the time you first put in your order. I understand with Covid-19 things are slower, but that doesn't explain all the items they are losing. My package has been on and off the delivery truck over 3 days and apparently transfered to another service. All fed ex says is its in transport. I actually can read and see that ithas been on and off truck 3 times without delivery. When asked to speak to a supervisor or manager Daniel refused to transfer me to ayone above him. FedEx came to the rescue this week when some important overnighted work documents (which I, of course, had no electronic copies of) were mislabeled and sent to the wrong address. I was sure the documents were lost forever when I realized the package had been delivered, but to someone else. DO NOT EVER USE FEDEX. This is latest in a series of gaffes this company continues to make. I paid extra to have my package delivered the evening of Nov. 13 as it requires a signature and I would be home at that time. They attempted to deliver the package the morning of Nov. 13 -- or so they say. I live in a secure building and they have to use the call box to gain entrance or contact me, and neither occurred. My profile on Fedex.com indicates this! I called customer service the morning of Nov. 14 and they indicated the package would be delivered once again that evening again between 5 and 8 pm. Once again they attempted delivery that afternoon -- and once again I received no indication they tried to deliver the package. To add insult to injury, Fedex will not refund my special deliver request, until I call customer service again once the package is actually delivered. It doesn't get any worse than this place. I had a package leave Washington state on September 22nd with a scheduled delivery date of September 29th. It eventually got to the Portland facility on September 30th and nearly two weeks later I'm still waiting for it to be delivered. The worst thing, I've been given 5 different scheduled delivery dates with 5 eventual no shows. Their app is useless and doesn't update until the end of the day so I basically lost 5 days of work waiting for the package to arrive since it requires a signature. I could've walked to Washington by now to pick up my package. Called customer service three times and got the same answer "it's scheduled to be delivered but if for some reason it's not call us back." Way to do problem solving!
