Due to personal circumstances, we get a LOT of our goods delivered. It was interesting to watch the door camera footage of the Fed Ex delivery man leaving the note that delivery was attempted WHILE WE WERE HOME. He left before we could get to the door. I phoned Fed Ex to try and get an idea of the next delivery date and got directed to the online app. I filled out the info and then waited...and waited... The wait ended up being so long, we decided to go and pick the parcel up ourselves or we were going to miss giving the recipient the gift for which the event was intended. When I got to the Fed Ex centre two employees ignored me, laughing and talking. This was frustrating given what my experience had already been up to this time. However, once the employee did come to the counter, she was lovely and her manner was wonderful and very effective. I do hope when I order things that Fed Ex isn't the carrier, based on this experience. read more

Absolutely the worse freight company out there. If you're looking for frustration and late deliveries on everything that is shipped, this is the company for you. I have repeatedly asked to have our sales rep call and nothing. (I don't even know who our rep is) I would use DHL over these guys any day. I will be advising all our vendors to use Fed Ex as a very last resort. When you do have a problem, you keep going around in circles on their website until they wear you down, and you just accept that's the way their service is. This seems to happen all the time. I had a package that was shipped through FedEx, and FedEx said it would be here on the 19th. Then they turned around said it'd be here in the 15th today between 9:10 a.m. and 1:10 p.m. so my wife decided to wait around home for it and then the morons never delivered it. Probably one of the worst companies I've ever dealt with and I would never use them but the company used them that I bought the package from. From now on if it shipped FedEx I'll order somewhere else because FedEx is absolutely useless and I would never recommend them. read more

I've worked with FedEx for years and while they've always been a shoddy company I've never seen anything this bad. Here's the full story: We were commissioned to create a mascot costume for an event, due to the short deadline we shipped the costume overnight express for 783.16$ directly to the event venue paying the aforementioned price. We had shipped it overnight despite being 3-4 days from the event itself just so our clients would have enough time to prepare and get accustomed to the suit. The following morning we checked on the parcel's status and noticed it hadn't moved anywhere significant so we immediately called to investigate and were reassured the parcel would arrive in the morning. We called several hours later the same day just to check on the parcel and were told it had been seized for customs clearance and that it would take a few hours and should arrive tomorrow afternoon. Fine no biggie. Come the following day we checked on the parcel and saw it still hadn't moved and so we called immediately to inquire, we were then told that the border service was missing information for customs clearance, why they never bothered to call and ask us for it is beyond me but I digress. We filled out the required forms and sent off the information only to be told they didn't need it anymore and the parcel should ship throughout the night and we should see movement of some kind come the morning. Come the following day it still hadn't left the city and after being led around in a wild goose chase for several hours trying to find anyone high enough in the chain who could answer our questions and do something about parcel we finally found an off duty manager and left a message. Several hours later we received a phone call saying they had no clue why this was happening and advised me to open a claim when I do receive the parcel. I asked what our options were stating the urgency of the delivery and she said there was nothing to do but wait and hope. I asked at that point if we could intercept the package and come pick it up ourselves because the event was already in progress and it needed to be there for the show at 10 am the following morning. After some back and forth we managed to chase down the parcel and get it intercepted - funny how they had to work so hard to"intercept" a package that hadn't moved since the day we shipped it. Once we received the all-clear we drove to Woodbridge where it was being held (a good 5hr drive) picked up the parcel and were disturbed to see that it had been damaged. We inspected it carefully but found the contents fine thanks to the packaging our suits come in, but I am still disturbed to see that amount of damage for a package that never went farther than a stone throw. The lack of care is disturbing especially for a parcel labeled as fragile, insured, and valued at 15,000$. After picking up the parcel I drove to Toronto, took a covid test, and boarded the first flight for Chicago. I delivered the parcel to the distressed and very grateful clients took a nap then immediately boarded a flight back to Canada. Upon arrival in Canada, I took a nap in my car for 4 hrs then drove home. This entire trip cost us nearly 1000$ after flight, gas, parking and covid test but I got the package there. Naturally, when I got home we immediately filed a dispute demanding to be reimbursed for the shipping, cause we knew they would never reimburse us for the travel expenses even though they are to blame. Within 48hrs we received an email saying that the claim was denied because the parcel was intercepted, completely ignoring the events that led up to us having to intercept it. We called several times and tried escalating and reopening the claim and were denied each time. To say I'm done with FedEx and tired of being ignored would be an understatement so we've taken to social media to share our story. If you need something for an event, do yourselves a favour and just fly it there yourself, it'll probably be cheaper and it'll definitely be faster. I am disabled and need a laptop to access many medical services. My brother sent me a newer one he had extra (Calgary to Massachusetts) because mine is over a decade old and literally falling apart. The laptop never left Calgary and is missing and presumed lost. FedEx never informed me of this, promising to make the scheduled delivery on their tracker up until the day of delivery even though it was never on its way. It was only when I called that I was informed it was lost (the tracker still says the delivery date is "pending") and the shipper would have to file a claim (requiring a tonne of evidence of valuation that is nearly impossible for a used, self-upgraded laptop) for any restitution. Someone at the Calgary FedEx Ship Centre stole a needed laptop from a disabled person and neither the Centre nor the corporation did a thing about it. If you sending anything valuable, especially international since the customs forms declare what is inside your package, don't use FedEx in Calgary. Some number of them are thieves and the company simply doesn't care. read more

I try not to use UPS for any cross boarder shipments. I had no choice with this shipment. They continue to disappoint. Their brokerage service is terrible. I have been waiting over 2 weeks for a package to clear customs. Each time I phone they tell me it's going to clear that day. Still waiting on a two day shipment for over 15 days. Meanwhile FedEx is GREAT! I have ordered 3 packages from the states from 3 different places and they were all at my door in less than 24 hours. FedEx is the BEST. Never use UPS unless you want to overpay and enjoy being frustrated by lack luster service on a good day. read more

FedEx is a useless operation. The tracking doesn't work, leaving your email or asking for message updates do not work. Customer service was atrocious (I had to repeat my email address 4 times and phonetically spell the entire thing out). I would never, ever, ever ship anything with this company. I took two days off work waiting for my package only for them to update the tracking with "customer unavailable or business closed". OMG, I basically stood at my window for two days. I didn't shower or turn on any noise so I could listen for a text or email or doorbell. I checked my messages and email every 1/2 hr. I am beyond frustrated. The end! read more

We have had FedEx not deliver our packages to our house 6 different times. One time I had to get a package delivered 3 times, the last time to my sisters house because they didn't send it right the first two times. Even after talking to manager and asking him to get his driver to make sure he was getting an ID when delivering. Didn't even do that. I am a SAHM, so I get the text the package is delivered and I am sitting at home going, "no it wasn't". Our neigbors are awesome people and are honest when they get our mail/packages and it is never there. Twice we had amazing people bring the packages to us, and thank goodness we have honest people in the world. When I asked them what their addresses were, they were nothing even close to our address. When we call to complain, they tell us there is nothing they can do and contact the seller. There is something they can do about it, how about hiring competent drivers that can read an address? read more

Same problem as Crystal, I was home ALL DAY expecting my precious new sexy boots, anticipating the doorbell when I could finally cradle them in my arms like a small child, but alas, no that wasn't going to happen. My precious was going to be at the back of a dark and lonely FedEx van, alone and shivering wondering why we couldn't be together. I was watching their every move on-line for the week leading up to our reunion but delays in customs kept us apart when there was a small twist of fate and they were released, coming home to mama...Friday night, it was happening, this was it. Friday arrives, its 5:00, I also hear the dreaded sound the pick-up slip easing its way through my front door as I was upstairs watching a pvr of the one and only Chelsea Lately, anticipating that bell, but no, no one rang my bell. IS IT TOO MUCH TO ASK FOR SOMEONE TO RING MY BELL!? I run down, I am too late, I am mortified...its Friday, I can't not have them for the weekend, I couldn't let my precious be all alone in a (pause, lump in my throat) -facility. I get on the horn and start ripping new assholes to the poor customer service reps, I know its not their fault, I know this but logic has left me in the form of supple brown, over the knee leather boots, and I cannot be reasoned with, all I see is red. I believe all women in their hearts know the effects of footwear on our psyche and although I hate to say it, but its like its a secret society that we all understand-the lack of rationale associated with this footwear makes even the most sane of people crazy. FedEx lady manages to find the driver and makes him, YES MAKES HIM-go back and deliver them to me it is now bordering the 6:00 mark and but my kid has hockey! DAMN YOU FATE and your twisted sense of humor! I tell FedEx lady that I won't be home at that time and to leave them with my neighbour, who is a very good friend of mine, but no matter what do not leave them outside as my house faces a green space that is regularly used by the public. She agrees that it won't be a problem. I am in knots the entire time I am at the arena...thinking about my precious. Wondering if my neighbour would have had her way with them...no I can't think like that. I finally get home and see what I dreaded seeing. My precious all alone on my cold snowy doorstep, shivering, lonely, I live on a ridge and there are coyotes around too. Someone could have easily walked by and stolen them, $200 boots gone like that. Thankfully I got home in time and we were together. Screw you FedEx, I am using Ups from now on. read more

It only takes one poor experience to put a bad taste in my mouth and it happened recently. I'm home all day and does the Fed Ex delivery person ring my door bell or knock? No. This person drops the door handle notice in between my two front doors and leaves. He or she doesn't even bother to hang it up and it's very obvious. Rather than receiving my package at home like I was supposed to, now I'm wasting time and gas to pick it up at the Aero Drive location. I put in my complaint and a supervisor was supposed to call me within the week to discuss the consequences and actions taken by them to correct the situation. Did this happen? No. I still haven't decided if I'm going to make a follow-up phone call. I work from home and for as often as I receive Fed Ex packages, I never hear the doorbell ring. At least in the past the notice has been hanging on the door knob. It just makes we wonder how hurried they are to deliver their packages and how often they actually make an effort to connect with the customer. read more

How is this place even still in business? Hands down worst delivery service around. I was waiting around all day today for my parcel that was expected to be delivered today. I checked online and it said "delivery exception" and that I wasn't home or something. Ridiculous. I was home waiting all day. Then I get a call from fed-ex later this evening asking if I will be home Monday around the same time because I wasn't there today when they supposedly tried to deliver it. I checked downstairs only 5 mins after they supposedly tried to make the delivery and they hadn't even left a delivery slip. I explained this to the guy on the phone and he told me " oh some of our delivery drivers are really lazy". Seriously!!!????what kind of an excuse for a business is this? All of these people should be fired. The worst of it is, if they don't bring the parcel to your home you have to drive all the way out to the airport to pick it up! read more

Fedex, if you're listening, you need to give John a raise. A really really big, fat raise. Seriously, keep him happy because he keeps me happy. John is the courier assigned to my area. Just like the other employees I encounter of yours, he's always pleasant and helpful and goes that extra yard or two. There have been one or two couriers that have come to make a delivery and there's been nothing really to complain about. They show up, they're not unpleasant. But you can always tell an employee that cares about what they're doing and the people they're serving vs one who's just there to do their job. I hope you'll continue to hire people like John. He's what sets you apart. He makes my life easier. You have a well-run operation all around, but honestly, he puts the icing on the cake. read more

The experiences I've had with fedex have been pretty negative so far. The few times I've used them (usually not by choice) they've always been a few days late with delivery. But on the positive side, I've gone to their depot to pick up packages and the people who I've dealt with there have been great. So ill give three stars for that. read more

Fedex gave me the worst experience I've ever had with a shipping company. My vacation day ended up being a wait all day by the door day. By 5pm I didn't hear a ring, knock or see a door knob slip. I was very disappointed especially because I paid for overnight service and the package was valuable. By 5pm I checked email and noticed Fedex sent a tracking update to advise no one answered the door. To say the least I was pissed because I know for sure no one came to the door. Just to be sure, I checked all around the exterior of the house but found no misplaced door slip. I talked to customer service to double check if Fedex had the correct address because initially they had the wrong address and the sender had to cancel and resend the order. They confirmed the address was correct. I asked if it's standard policy to leave a door knob slip and they said yes. They were very polite and courteous and gave me the address of the ship centre the package will be at once the driver returns. They were excellent and I even received a phone call back from another service rep apologizing and confirming I will be there to personally pick up the package today. Once I arrived at the time and place they told me to go I was advised that the driver hadn't returned yet. No problem, I didn't mind waiting there. The front end agent told us immediately once the driver arrived. She went to the back and I heard her explain to 'Joseph' that I was waiting at home for the package and heard him belligerently respond "well why didn't she answer the door then?" First of all, I don't believe he even came to the door, otherwise I would have found a door slip as per policy. Two other people were also in the home and didn't hear a thing. Second, he sounded very rude to the lady who was only trying to explain to him I was waiting there for the package because it didn't arrive at the house. To be fair, everyone from Fedex I spoke to on the phone and in person during this ordeal provided excellent customer service. The reason for this 1 star rating is because the driver failed to show up with my package and was rude to his fellow employees. read more

Thank you delivery man that made it to our house today :D This rating is not based on one situation or delivery but multiple mistakes with each of the last 3 deliveries including the last which I asked to be held at the Calgary station to avoid it being sent all over central Alberta and being delayed a week just for me to have to drive to town to pick it up. They have never been great but at least they use to drop off packages in at the Crossfield Esso, now they go back and forth between Calgary and red deer a few times before being turned over to Canada post. I was also lied to and told that despite the tracking information saying my package was in Red Deer that it had only been scanned to go there. Than when looking at my Canada post tracking, after they turned the package over to them it clearly shows the package coming from Red Deer to Calgary than to Carstairs (where I actually live). I don't see how this can be a sustainable business model for the company; financially, reputation wise and the safety of packages in their care. I have reported the issues I wish I could request shippers only use UPS, at least for rural deliveries, they show up each and every time without fail and by a dependable polite driver. read more

NEVER AGAIN! FedEx came to my office on Monday to deliver a package. There was duty and taxes owing and wasn't there to pay it, so I get the email notification that it was "unable to be delivered"... FedEx advises that they will try deliver it again the next day! Which is fine! I pretty much wasted my whole day waiting for this package to be delivered the following day! As I am awaiting delivery at the front counter of my office, I see the FedEx truck drive by but not stop. Then as I'm sitting on my computer watching this, I get an email notification advising me that they were unable to deliver my package. FEDEX IS A SHAM! Wow. Terrible. Booked a pick up at a residence. Turns out if you don't own printer like most people in 2018 they wont pick up your shipment. I filled out all the information addresses and credit card and received a tracking number. Figured good to go.. Right? Yeah NO! when I asked for help they had ZERO answers and said. Well you could drop it off at a FEDEX store. WTF? really? the whole point of scheduling a pick up and getting a tracking number implies that they will do their job. I was told in very less obvious terms to pound sand. Get with the times Fed ex. Nobody owns a printer unless they use it everyday. Like nobody uses a fax machine. It was a colossal waste of my time and absolutely horrendous customer service after the fact. read more

A surprisingly great experience shipping my musical instrument away for repair. The customer service representative was actually a musician himself and understood the importance of protecting the instrument right away. He made great recommendations for packaging it and found a discounted rate for me. Yet to be seen is whether it arrives safely, but so far so good with the customer service! read more

Do. Not. Use. Fedex. Ordered an item that shipped from the US via Fedex. Expected delivery date pushed into the future twice. Only found out about the non-delivery by using online tracking, as driver left no notification. Was informed address was wrong. Address was not wrong, driver just didn't use the intercom system to gain access to my building. Was instructed to pick up delivery instead from 'local' (40 minute drive) depot. Saw via online tracking the depot address as the new delivery location. Received a phone call from the driver at my apartment building 4 days later asking if I was home to let him in. Asked him why he didn't deliver to the depot address as indicated. Asked whether he could leave the package at my door if I let him into the building. Was told he needed a signature. Was then asked whether I had a mailbox he could leave the package in. Not sure how the signature requirement was satisfied by that, but told him no. Called customer service (for the third time), was told the package would be delivered to the 'local' depot next day. Stay tuned...I am not confident I will ever get my delivery. Suggest you do not patronize businesses that use Fedex either. Wow. read more

I have the same issue as Crystal and Helen. They delivered one day and left the slip but I was home all day and no one ever knocked. I called fedex told them this and they said they would deliver the next day. Again I made sure not to leave and worked from home in my kitchen which is right beside my door. No one knocked left a slip or anything. So I called again. They said they delivered the package that day at 11am. I was definitley 100 percent sitting by the door at this time as I was doing a conference call from my phone at the time in my kitchen and not one hint of a knock. I also have a dog who would have barked had he heard anyone and nothing. It is very disappointing as now I have to drive 30 minutes out of my way (between business hours - hard when you have to work) to get it. I am very disappointed and will never be using this service again. read more

14 days since they picked up my delivery in Montreal and still waiting. Their U.S. office says the line is busy but they will leave them a voice mail. EVEN they can't get a hold of them. Beyond a doubt this carrier service is the absolute WORST of any major operation ANYWHERE. Furthermore, be aware - if you try to send anything international you are just begging to have your package end up lost or worst. And they take NO accountability for the same whatsoever. I can not think of an organization I despise but this one. Despise. They fit the description to a " T". Take your business to UPS, DHL, etc.. I see their trucks in my neighborhood everyday, despite wind, rain or sleet. Even Canada Post has these clowns beat. Hands down. FEDEX is not to be trusted with anything they put their hands on. Still waiting for our delivery from the UK five days later after requesting international priority. At every stage we have been given the runaround. They told us they would phone back within 24 hours--noone ever phoned. The tracking is a joke, we have tried 6 times over the last three days and it tells us every time that it's in Memphis. Now they are telling us they will phone within 24 hours (second time). Not holding my breath on their promises. Last time I will ever use Fedex there are other companies out there. read more

DO NOT USE FEDEX!!! I will never use FedEx again, and I will never purchase anything online that uses FedEx. The employee who "attempted" to deliver the package did not even bother to contact myself to say that they were in the building no buzzer.. nothing. I called back the next day, they had messed up my contact number and promised they would comeback again but would have he driver contact me again .... still nothing.... I called back AGAIN they had messed up my number AGAIN!!!! I even had it re routed as apparently this was too difficult to ask for... nope... false promise ... stated incorrect address I then called AGAIN!!!! Number still wrong and stated they couldn't deliver to the address which has been an active address for 20+ years and have had many packages delivered too before.... if the customer has paid the duties/fees and asks to it to be delivered to a PO box after the fact maybe this is something your company should be listening too ... as it is the easiest option if they original is too hard ... now I have to drive to the complete other end of the city to pick up my package, thank you FedEx who will be paying for my gas now? read more
