Do not use the grooming service!!! They have terrible customer service and will cancel on you (twice) less than 24hrs from an appointment and expect you to wait an additional 4-6 weeks until they can "fit you in" again. The first time they offered a $20 discount on my two dogs which costs me over $250. The second time they offered nothing more than their "apologies". I will now gladly drive the extra 15 minutes out of my way to go to Pet Smart. read more

They have a mixed review from me. I used to love them but lately they've went down hill. THE RECENT BAD: 1. Pet washes are complete mess hair in drains, not draining properly, no doors on the tubs, moving fleas on the brushes. If you use them BRING YOUR OWN BRUSHES. 2. Their store staff and training staff doesn't communicate. I ordered a training package online and it only told me the location and tentative month start. So, I went up to the store and the employees couldn't tell me the time, date of starting, or who was training. 3. Today, I had a 20% off coupon that lasted from 10am-12pm. The website wasn't working on my phone or laptop. I tried to check out ten minutes late and it didn't work. I reached out to see if they would still honor the coupon since their website had been finicky and it was only a few minutes past time. They told me it wasn't working because I was buying dog and cat food (which doesn't qualify for the code) along with litter, training treats, and a dog crate. You would think the coupon would've worked even with the other items in the cart! Then, they said they couldn't give me the discount on the items. Af 4. If you have the time to order, chewy is cheaper and has more options. After not honoring the 20% off above, I ended up going to chewy.com and their prices were lower even if I had used the 20% off at Feeders, Chewy's is still cheaper. 6. I went there the other day and the cashier didn't know how to calculate 20% off of another person's order. They reached out to another cashier who also wasn't doing it correctly. I ended up telling them what to do and what the final price was. So, if you have coupons, double check that they did the math correctly. THE GOOD: 1. If you live in Louisville, they are everywhere and very convenient. 2. I do like their training program. It is affordable, they have them often, and I've been pleased with the trainers. 3. After buying 12 bags of dog food you buy, you get one free as long as you are a loyalty member. 4. The vets that come in every once in a while are great for quick and easy vaccinations! MY FINAL OPINION: After visiting here for years and spending thousands of dollars, I will not be going back to this location unless I forgot to buy something and immediately need it. I'll stick with Chewy's because is cheaper, 2 day shipping, they periodically send coupons, and the website works well. read more

HORRIBLE!!!! SO disappointed. The male groomer here is HORRIBLE. My puppy needed a haircut and this guy had my dog locked in a crate for 2 HOURS, and did NOTHING!!!! My puppy gets baths all the time and he loves baths. This guy told me he could not do anything and my PUPPY needs medication. I was in the parking lot the WHOLE TIME waiting to pick my puppy up the guy finally calls me to come get my puppy, the guy was grooming another dog!!!! The guy gave the dog a bath and was giving the dog a haircut all while my puppy was in a crate. The guy did not even try and just locked my puppy up for 2 hours. I went to another feeders supply and the sweet lady gave my puppy a haircut and told me he was one of the best golden doodles she has ever groomed. She said he did fantastic!! I also heard from someone that this guy does not groom any puppies or "hyper" dogs, he makes the other groomer, groom them. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS GROOMERS!!! STAY AWAY!!!! read more

I was at feeders supply grooming in fern creek ky this guy name Michael groomed my dog he done a horrible job I brought him in there told that the dog had mats and he didn't do half the mats and he cut my dogs hair on his behind and it looks like a square box he also did not comb him out he had hair flying everywhere when I brought him home I will never go back there again he also shaved my dogs legs I paid $73.00 for my dog that doesn't look good read more

We dropped in to see the adoption area. Amazingly we made it out without a new puppy! I appreciated that the Humane Society staff left us alone and did not try to push the animals on anyone. Right next to the adoption area was a self-service pet bath room like a drive through car wash. Self contained to do your pet grooming and drying in a clean controlled environment. One thing I hate about some pet stores and pet supplies is that many stink of dried foods, urine and wet straw. Not here, the store was clean, not too bright, and fresh. Made my first visit today and was VERY disappointed in the service. Store was not busy at all and when I asked for a certain product the girl said aisle 2, asked for a second product , she said that's in the same aisle. It took me quite awhile to spot the things I was after. She never asked or offered any help. I believe she could have walked to the aisle with me and pointed out the products. My husband raved about this place saying they had a wide selections of pet related stuff (which they did) but I was a little bummed because the prices where a bit more than Petsmart. The staff where pretty helpful. We got some crawfish to feed our snapping turtle, they didn't have a wide selection of fishes but they did have some cool Chinchillas priced around $200+ and some cute puppies, kittens, birds, bunnies, mices, and some other furry creatures. I just left the store at 5763 Preston Highway, Louisville, KY. Don't go there if you are buying anything heavy. They do not have carts which seems ridiculous considering it's a store that sells large bags of pet food. read more

It's honestly a terrible pet store, I was shocked when I walked in there and saw some of the enclosures the animals were in. For example their was an axolotl in a extremely small, and dirty tank. Correct me if I'm wrong, but the minimum tank size for a baby axolotl is a 10 gallon tank, and their tank was like a 3 gallon tank. Their was gross dirt in the tank and the poor axolotl had no place to hide either and axolotl should always at least have one spot to hide in. This pet store has no idea on how to raise and care for most of its pets. read more

I cannot believe the way these people run their business. I stopped by feeders supply with my husband, and my 3 1/5 year old daughter to see the dogs they had for adoption. We did like the one that was separated because of the surgery. He was sitting quietly, and she said he was a puppy. She did ask me if I owned a dog before, and I told her it's our first time, and even them seeing my little daughter they SOLD and couldn't wait to get rid of him. They failed to mention that puppies are a lot of work, and she even said to another girl thinking I didn't hear her " I finally got rid of him" which I thought was very akward. He bites, he humps, he pees all over the house, and I am beyond exausted from cleaning and trying to take care of my family and the puppy. I did not know nor I did any research to see what amount of work are puppies. These people failed to properly match us and even tell us you know I don't think he is the right match for your family, instead they couldn't wait to get rid of him and literally sell him. Highly dissapointed. By the way, my neighbors keep asking me is that the puppy from feeders supply? When I asked them why? they said that he has been there for a long time...they failed to mention all of the negative sides to matching the right family for this beautiful smart puppy. I love him to death, but I can barely feel my hands from cleaning the whole day and night... I just cannot believe it! If I didn't mention that I didn't own the dog before I would understand, but I just don't know what to say. read more

I like the place. Selection on pets is low, and prices vary to be low on some things and high on others, but the prices on the crickets is way better than Petsmart and you get a bigger cricket for the price(Petsmart's large is feeders supply's small!). read more

The staff here sucks! I come in here at least 3 times a week to buy crickets for my lizard and every time I come I wait at least 5 to ten minutes before anyone acknowledges me. Today, 10/17/16, as I'm currently writing this. The staff is congregated up front talking bullshit as I stare at them and wait. They see me but they don't want help. One just walked passed me and I just asked for help and said to ask one of the guys up front. And she walks pass me again going back to front with everyone else. They're killing me. This review is really not about the service at feeders but for the person Amela K that wrote a review....you should know how hard it is to take care of a puppy before you buy one. They are like babies, they will pee in your house and it's your responsibility to train them, teach them just like a child. They are not born knowing what to do and not to do. It is hard work but it won't take long before they catch on and when they do learn and grow you will be so thankful you stuck to it as nothing will ever love you and your family more then your dog. Please do some homework before buying something you never had. I hope you still have the dog, I miss my dogs puppy years as it goes buy fast. read more
