We go to Feeders supply regularly for dog baths! They have a great drop-in bathing setup in the middle of the store and our dogs love it. Convenient location in the Brownsboro Rd Kroger area shopping center. I appreciate their treats selection and dog supplies in general, we always end up picking up something new when we are there. After adopting a kitten this Feeders Supply was on our way home and we needed a few supplies. We placed our kitten, who was inside a carrier, into the cart and experienced a great visit. The staff was so helpful and they made a fuss over our new kitten, Gus. Feeders offers engraved name tags. We picked up a small paw for Gus along with a collar, litter box, small toys and a scratch pad. My husband also found a marked down pond heater. I took my Newfoundland in to be groomed, de-shedded, and de-matted. Took him in at 9:30 am. At 3:30 get a call telling me that she couldn't do the job as he wouldn't stand for her and she was well 50 and just not capable of doing it. So I can to pick him up. He had a bath I think as he was still wet except for his top line his legs and undercarriage was still very wet and well now even more matted. He honestly looked worse than when I brought him in. She gave me a bill and I paid. It was for $65 which I was like ok for getting him wet and brushing the top that's fine. I also asked if she did his nails and she said she took a little off because he wouldn't stand for her. Last i remember a dog doesn't have to be standing to trim their nails. Well I get home and she calls telling me she gave me the wrong bill and my bill was for $185 and I needed to come back and pay the difference. I was well you didn't do everything that bill has on it she said well I did what I could and you have to pay for the full amount even if I didn't do all of the service. I told her no if you didn't do the the job I'm not paying for a service you had my dog for 6 hours and all you did was give him a bath and not even a good one. I also took a look and she didn't trim his nails at all there are the same length so nice to know she doesn't have a problem with lying to customers. She told me she will have customer service call me as she needs to be paid. I'm wondering for what. Feeder Supply you need to do better with your groomers if they are not cable of doing their job then they need to no be there and also my do was in a kennel for most of the day for no real reason. read more

Usually this store is really good but my recent experience was not. Susan groomed my dog and managed to nick her in a bad area. Found my dog licking the area a day later and had to take her to the vet because she was bleeding. I spend $300 in total due to her groom and that's including the $20 kenneling fee I was charged because I couldn't get there within 30 minutes after she was done. Called the manager to explain and it was reported to corporate but nothing was ever done and I never received a call I was supposed to get. Just be careful. I understand this can happen but the store did nothing for me. read more

Feeders Supply is a household name in our home. The staff is friendly and informative and we enjoy taking our "kids" into shop on Saturdays. We come here for their toys and necessities and they have what we're looking for for a fair and moderate price. I always prefer to shop local rather than to walk into a big box store. When I came in I asked for 70 small crickets I have lizards and They go through them relatively fast. The woman said that was OK and that was the end of it get up to the counter and I look in the bag and there's only about 10 crickets And she says the total is close to $10 and because I am 17 doing school and working full-time. I told her I wasn't gonna spend $10 on crickets when they didn't give me the full amount she then proceeded to tell me I was gonna pay for whatever she gave me so I left bad customer service I would have not even said anything if the workers were generally nice about it read more

Did our dog training here and loved the trainers that come in! So patient and kind. Helped my dog a lot and I still use may techniques they promote. The employees are nice and helpful and if you look a little lost they will come up and ask what they can help you with. That's nice. With 3 different pets it is good to have somewhere easy and knowledgeable to turn to for advice. read more

Although I've only been to one other location, this one is well organized with friendly and helpful staff. I do wish the shop looked a bit cleaner, but it's a pet store, right? I'm thankful they carry the brand of food (in multiple options) that my dog can tolerate. And the large selection of treats and toys is a big plus! read more

This is my local Feeders store and after visiting a few other Feeders this is one of my favorites. The staff has always been very helpful and kind. I've never run into a problem that couldn't be resolved in this store and the people are always willing to go the extra mile to help. A couple of years ago I was in the market for buying a fish tank and fish. The staff was great and helped us get started with our tank. They weren't trying to sell us a bunch of fish right away because they stressed the importance of establishing our tank before we invested in the little buggers. When I've run into issues with our tank since then, the staff has always geared us in the right direction. By the way, after buying fish from... a competitor, I can say with no reservation, that Feeders has some of the.... healthiest fish around. Fish that we have bought from Feeders have been healthy and have lasted. But the fish we bought from a competitor.... have passed on to that great big pond in the sky :( Late in 2014 a cat that we have had for 16 years was getting sick and eventually passed away to play with that big scratch post in the sky :( I know this may be a little depressing, but it gets better, promise. Shortly before our big boy (cat) passed we were going through the kittens up for adoption. We weren't interested in adopting a cat, yet. But there was this little adorable fur ball of a kitten that couldn't keep her attention off of us. She would not let us go without calling for us as we walked by. Yes, this kitten picked us. We walked out that day with a kitten that adopted us.... she has the run of the house now as the queen of the house. Our Feeders made this happen. We may have lost our big boy but our new little ball of fuzz has filled a hole in our lives. We've had great experiences with this Feeders and this store has provided our family with a lot of great memories to come. My dog loves coming in to the store and I literally have to drag her out to leave LOL This Feeders also offers a "cleaning" room, if you will, so you can pay to shower and groom your dog(s) here. I've never used it since I wash my dogs at home, but I have been tempted to use this facility. It always looks clean and well maintained. Another benefit to this Feeders location is the vet located next door. This Feeders is probably one of the closest "one stop shops" in the area. read more

Up until this week, I enjoyed taking my dog here to shop and socialize. Then she was attacked by the resident cat as we stood calmly in line paying for her treats. Scrubby suddenly put out her claws and jumped on her face, leaving two claw slices on her snout. Luckily a customer knocked the cat off before my dog was blinded. The response was a cheerful "I'm sorry our cat attacked yourdog." I was offered free dog food which in no way protects anyone. Why do they employ people, but not train them properly? It was Christmas Eve, and I wanted to bathe our two dogs at the pet wash at this location. I checked on line to be sure of the closing time and saw that it was 6 pm. Our dogs are skittish, so we waited until later. When I arrived at the store at 4:04 pm, we brought the dogs in and headed for the pet wash. One of the employees said "mam, the pet wash is closed". I said why? Looking at the empty pet wash room. She said because it closes an hour before we close and pointed to a sign taped to the pet wash door. I said that I checked the time online and it said 6. She ignored me and continued standing at the register. I was upset because we had gathered all of our supplies and brought them over there so that they would be clean on Christmas. So, we took the dogs to the car and I double checked my phone thinking that maybe I had made a mistake. Nope. It said 6 pm on Christmas Eve specifically for their location. So I went back in and went to the register where the 20 something employee had told me they were closed and asked to speak to the manager. She said well I'm the shift supervisor. But called someone down from the front. This employee was even younger looking than the first one. I explained the problem and showed her my phone with the close time for their location. She said "oh I'm sorry, but we close at 5 pm and we have to close the pet wash an hour early so we can clean it. I said, but your hours are listed as 6 pm. She said, oh I'm sorry, but "that's corporate. That's corporate's fault." I said, I don't care whose fault it is, but we got here at 4 pm to wash our dogs." So, the first girl pipes up and said mam, it was 4:10 when you got here. I looked at my watch. I looked at my phone and it was 4:15. I had been talking to them for a good five minutes, plus had taken the dogs back to the car before returning back inside. I said there was no way that was five minutes ago." Then the first employee says with a huge smirk on her face, "well we open at 9 am, you could have gotten here at 9 and washed them." I turned to her and said, "look lady, there's no way that you can tell someone when they can and cannot do something." The "manager" said I'm sorry, and I turned around and walked out. It was clear that no one had ever trained them about how to handle customers and not blame other people for mistakes under the guise of "corporate." Feeder's Supply is Feeder's Supply, and who put the information on the website shouldn't matter, the time should have been honored. On top of that, to allow employee's to smart off to a customer in front of other employees and customers is unconscionable. No matter. I won't be going back there again, but I will be complaining to "corporate." read more

I took my dog here for the self pet wash. It's $10 and comes with all the supplies needed to bathe your fur baby. I like how your wash area is enclosed with a gate in case your fur baby decides to make a run for it. Customers can see inside the pet wash which is nice especially if you want to see how long the wait is or just to stare at the dogs. My dog is not a fan of bathing. They have a jar full of treats in the wash which is helpful. The staff is very friendly and nice. read more

Only two of their four employees were correctly wearing their mask. While there is little that retailers can do with the customers' choice to wear a mask employers should do more to ensure employees wear masks out of respect for their customers that are wearing masks. Horrible, but then I guess what can you expect out of a bunch of lazy teenagers. So I go in I'm stand by the fish tanks thinking an employee might come by. After several minutes I went up to the register the guy had his back to me and keep greeting people then waiting on them while I was ignored. There was another older lady saw me trying to get attention and another lady trying to get help. Finally I said can I have help getting some fish . The employed said I will be right there . I waited several more minutes before he came essentially I waited 15 minutes for nothing. When he got over there he said we are not getting fish this late . Then why make me wait or why not say I will answer you questions here. Seriously. Then I asked for the mgr who was probably 20 she was a horrible witch and said it was her last day and she didn't care. So you just lost a customer congratulations. Normally a good store, quality selection and decent prices. I split my time and money between Feeders and Petsmart depending on where I am that day. I try to support local but it doesn't always work that way. Today (3/30/12) the store was very dirty and the rescue dogs smelled like they needed a bath - also a lot of dead fish floating. A great local pet store that has everything you need.

I try to order a lot of my pets needs online, however there are times that we need to support local to help the needy. I donate a lot to animal support in town and around the country. I appreciate Feeders Supply because they do what they can. It may not be as fancy as Pet Smart, but this is why their prices are lower. They do have a good selection of Loofa Dogs, which my boy loves! For my cat, they have pretty good treats, a few organic. I do wish the store was a bit cleaner, but hey it's a pet company! read more
