Feeders Supply is a household name in our home. The staff is friendly and informative and we enjoy taking our "kids" into shop on Saturdays. We come here for their toys and necessities and they have what we're looking for for a fair and moderate price. I always prefer to shop local rather than to walk into a big box store. Conveniently located in Springhurst across from the Paddock shops.

This is my local Feeders store and after visiting a few other Feeders this is one of my favorites. The staff has always been very helpful and kind. I've never run into a problem that couldn't be resolved in this store and the people are always willing to go the extra mile to help. A couple of years ago I was in the market for buying a fish tank and fish. The staff was great and helped us get started with our tank. They weren't trying to sell us a bunch of fish right away because they stressed the importance of establishing our tank before we invested in the little buggers. When I've run into issues with our tank since then, the staff has always geared us in the right direction. By the way, after buying fish from... a competitor, I can say with no reservation, that Feeders has some of the.... healthiest fish around. Fish that we have bought from Feeders have been healthy and have lasted. But the fish we bought from a competitor.... have passed on to that great big pond in the sky :( Late in 2014 a cat that we have had for 16 years was getting sick and eventually passed away to play with that big scratch post in the sky :( I know this may be a little depressing, but it gets better, promise. Shortly before our big boy (cat) passed we were going through the kittens up for adoption. We weren't interested in adopting a cat, yet. But there was this little adorable fur ball of a kitten that couldn't keep her attention off of us. She would not let us go without calling for us as we walked by. Yes, this kitten picked us. We walked out that day with a kitten that adopted us.... she has the run of the house now as the queen of the house. Our Feeders made this happen. We may have lost our big boy but our new little ball of fuzz has filled a hole in our lives. We've had great experiences with this Feeders and this store has provided our family with a lot of great memories to come. My dog loves coming in to the store and I literally have to drag her out to leave LOL This Feeders also offers a "cleaning" room, if you will, so you can pay to shower and groom your dog(s) here. I've never used it since I wash my dogs at home, but I have been tempted to use this facility. It always looks clean and well maintained. Another benefit to this Feeders location is the vet located next door. This Feeders is probably one of the closest "one stop shops" in the area.

After the very first visit, I was astonished and how well my 6-month-old Golden Retriever responded. I went from being frustrated and, honestly, disappointed in myself, to one of hope and excitement for our future. It is some of the best money I've spent. It was an investment that has give me a return of more than I could have ever dreamed of. I know that I have Doug's support throughout Zahra's lifetime and that, to me, is priceless. In my opinion, you will find none better than Doug with Bark Busters. Zahra and I are forever grateful we found him through the recommendation of my nephew, who used Doug for help with his Giant Schnauzer. You will not be disappointed, I can promise you that!

WORTH EVERY PENNY AND ASTONISHINGLY FAST!…read more Doug Rountree with Bark Busters of Louisville is fantastic! In the first hour, he completely changed the way we interact with our dog. Before we began the training, our puppy was lovable but demanding and thought she was in charge of our whole family. Practically 90% of her behavior problems (like mouthing/biting, barking, jumping on people, pulling) are virtually gone in less than a day! The rest are already much improved and I'm sure those will continue to get better as we reinforce our expectations with her. Our home is a much more peaceful, enjoyable place and our pup definitely seems happier and less stressed now that we have set clear, consistent rules in a language that she can understand. I love that it's done without treats or physical correction but instead uses how dogs naturally communicate to change behavior. Thank you Doug!

Our dog's leash aggression issues were making our everyday life miserable. We had tried video…read moretrainer methods, worked with another trainer for months, used an e-collar, and nothing worked, actually things just got worse. After coming home from walks in tears over and over, we finally decided to take a chance and enroll her in John's two week day training program. John tailored the program to fit the needs of our dog and the goals that we had as a family. Our dog came home every day from her day training with star pupil report cards. We were so confused. Was she faking it for John? Was she not going to be good with us like she was for John? Our fears were put to rest though. Every day when we picked her up, John would quickly go over what she learned in training so that we could work on those same tasks at home. He also sent us updates throughout the day and videos of her progress. Once the two weeks of training were up, the next phase is multiple one-on-one training sessions with John and our family. I think these sessions are what set John apart from everyone else. Our dog learned all the tools she needed to succeed during her day training sessions, but it was the one-on-one sessions out in the real world that really helped put all the pieces together. We came to John with our dog wearing her e-collar even for the most basic of walks and still couldn't control her, now she doesn't wear her e-collar at all, and we are even able to pass other dogs with only her flat collar on! I feel like I am in control and that she isn't walking me. She still has her moments, but I am able to get her under control swiftly and easily. I am so thankful to John for helping my family find order and peace. With yearly maintenance training sessions, we have been able to continue our progress and be proud of our dog! John has come to our rescue so many times since the training program ended with other behavioral issues and even helped us with a really difficult situation with both of our dogs while we were in the middle of moving. John is seriously the best. He truly loves what he does and it shows!

We feed our Cavalier King Charles Spaniel and our Sheltie limited ingredient food. PetSmart has a large variety of limited ingredient options, and we switch up once in a while, but stay in the same brand family. I think I counted 4 aisles of dog food at this location, as well a 2 or 3 other aisles of treats and snacks for your favorite four-legged friend. Along with that, they have all of the accessories you'll need for the canine of your choice, including flea/tick treatments, collars & leashes, bedding, booties, and toys. More feline-friendly than canine? They have just about as much stuff for the cats as they do dogs, so basically copy/paste the previous paragraph and add litter and litter boxes. Speaking of cats, they also have an adoption area where you can take home the cat the catches your attention -- or the cat the chooses you -- from any of one- to two-dozen that they have at any time. Frequently on weekends they'll host an adoption event and bring in even more. The options don't end with dogs and cats, supply items for aquariums, birds, lizards.... The staff here has always been helpful, and at one point one of the employees helped solve an issue with one of our dogs that our vet wasn't able to, so don't downplay experience over education. We had our boy at the vet 4 times and his problem persisted. This employee asked a couple of questions, said she thought he had acquired an allergy to chicken and to change up his food. Within three weeks he was all better. A number of PetSmart locations in the area have animal hospitals and day care available, which is a very convenient service if you're traveling or need to get out of town unexpectedly and your regular pet sitter isn't available. Add to that a grooming service and PetSmart is pretty much your one-stop shop for all the things that live in your house that have more then 2 legs...or...um...gills?
