I've been going to Waggin Tails since the seventies. That should tell you something in itself. When I travel there is NO ONE I trust my babies to other than Waggin Tails. Bev and her staff are outstanding. She knows the dogs names and their personalities and is always eager to see them. I've got one yorkie who isn't really friendly, Bev and the staff have no issues with him. If you are going to board your pet must be current on all vaccinations and you will need your vet to vouch if you don't have paperwork. You'll need to take whatever your pet needs to make him happy. Pillows chew toys special diet food and meds. Waggin Tails has some of the best groomers in the area, by appointment only. Waggin Tails has been around for a long time, with their own kennels. My doggie loved going to the kennel. She went for 2 nights once a month. She came home tired but happy. She always was so excited to go and the people who worked there always seemed to be glad to see her. I felt she was safe when I had to leave her. read more

This place does an excellent job of grooming our two Westies. I read somewhere that they specialize in terriers, so that convinced me to start going here. One big thing is that one of our dogs is just miserable to trim nails on. He loses his mind, growls, barks, bites. We've been working with him on it, but he still doesn't like his paws touched. PetSmart would complain a lot about having to deal with that when we got him groomed there, however, Waggin' Tail just put him in a muzzle while they did the nails and said it was fine. I'm assuming they are used to dealing with that issue from other terriers. And on that note, the dogs look so much better than when we've gotten them done at PetSmart, and the nails are very short. On Wed morning Aug 22 I dropped my miniature Australian Shepherd for boarding and grooming. I told them I would pick him up Mon. am. I had a 20lb bag of dry dog food that he wouldn't eat and I gave it to them. I came in Monday at 8:00 am but he wasn't ready, they said there were other dogs ahead of him. They called me about 10:00 and said he was ready When I picked him up I was charged for Mon. When I questioned the charge I was told they have to pay their employees who started at 6:00 am. I told them they would lose a customer, and was told too bad. This was the third time in 6 mos. that I had used them and the last. You don't keep customers by gouging them for an extra days charge when you feel you can. I will be looking for another kennel Martin F. Dever read more

I've been bringing my Standard Poodle, and my Pomeranian before she passed, here for grooming for years. Bev is loving and kind, and takes great care of our four-legged family members! Pierre always looks fabulous after she's trimmed him. On my occasional schedule slip-up when I wait too long to bring him in, she can take his shaggiest winter coat and turn it into Poodle Couture! I recommend scheduling in advance because her great reputation keeps her booked. read more

When I called to make a new appointment for boarding, the man that answered the phone was not friendly and seemed annoyed to have a new customer. I went ahead and made the reservation because it was the most convenient place on a short notice. He said it would be $20 per day. We dropped our dog off at 8am on Saturday and picked him up at 8am on Monday. Based on what I had been told I expected it to be $40, but it was $60. My husband picked him up and when he gave him his debit card to pay, the guy just pointed at a sign and said "cash or check only". The sign read "make checks payable to...". Being new customers, we weren't aware of the cash/check only policy. So we had to leave and go get cash. When my husband got home and told me that it was $60, I immediately called the kennel to ask them to explain the charge. I spoke to the same grumpy man who again seemed annoyed to be talking to me. He said that they charged $20 for 2/14, 2/15, and 2/16 and that the policy should have been explained to us. I told him that didn't make any sense. He was very rude and interrupted me saying "is there anything else I can help you with?". I hung up on him. If he had explained the policy in a friendlier tone, it would have made a big difference. I will never take my dog there again. If he treats people like that, I can only imagine how he treats the dogs. read more

I called to ask if they had any openings for Christmas. Before answering my question I was asked if I'd taken my dogs there before I answered no and he immediately said no we're booked up. When I went to ask another question he hung up on me. I guess they don't want any new clients? Don't waste your time calling if you've never taken your pets to them. read more
