He continously researches, learns and consults experts when necessary. His method is not cookie cutter, he customizes your program to fit your goals and limitations to ensure progress and avoid injuries. He has been training me for over 2 years and I have had remarkable and sustainable results. I have lost significant body fat, gained muscle and continue to have progressive results. I have also rehabbed old injuries as a result of working out with him. His program and my results have exceeded my expectations, I look forward to seeing where I am 6 months or a year from now. I highly recommend Steve if you are looking for a life change. I can't imagine a better trainer.

So much to say about my experience here at BBD. In a few short months I have felt connection with…read morethe other members, the trainers and through the workouts! Several years ago my family went through something very traumatic that left me holding on mentally for dear life. So physically I went downhill and gained a lot of weight. I tried other gyms and other trainers to help me out of my rut over the years. I tried many diets too. Nothing clicked. None of it helped physically AND mentally. It only seemed to help physically which would lead me in a downward spiral mentally after a few short weeks. BBD works with all ages and all athletic abilities. They require you to commit for the long haul. No more fads, no more trying to get skinny. It's about building a new and improved you from the inside out while also seeing physical results that follow. Fred has taught me a whole new way to workout that has given me so much more confidence than I thought possible. My only regret is not finding this place sooner! I cannot wait to see my wins a year from now! One workout at a time!!

BBD is the absolute best if you are looking for a gym that is inclusive of all ages, body types,…read moreand backgrounds. I have trained with trainers Ninette and Fred over the years. They really know their stuff especially when it comes to preventing injury and they work closely with you to modify the work out if you have preexisting injuries. This year I joined Fred's crew and he checked in frequently on my preexisting back and knee issues. We made sure to modify movements like lunges and dead lifts to movements that worked out the same muscle group but didn't aggravate my back and knees. Now that those muscle groups are much stronger I can do much more than I have ever been able to in the gym. The small group training format gives you the feel and attention of a personal trainer but is much more affordable. I moved away 3 years ago and when I came back I was at my heaviest I have ever been. BBD welcomed me back with open arms. I dropped a lot of weight, I feel better than ever, and I can't stop checking myself out in the mirror. I would give BBD 6 stars if I could.

I submited a formal complaint regarding the coach who conducted a children's basketball program…read more His behavior toward both my daughter and me was completely unacceptable, verbally abusive, and entirely inappropriate for someone entrusted with teaching young children. had my complaint been taken seriously I would not be here posting about ithad my complaint been taken seriously I would not be here posting about it, but instead was shoved off. I also learned that a very similar situation occurred during another classes. My eight-year-old daughter became upset and was sent off the court after being publicly yelled at for an unknown reason. I calmed her down and sent her back, then coach immediately raised his voice at her and sent her off the court again. Unprovoked. I calmed her a second time and let her sit out for five minutes. She quietly rejoined her group, waited patiently in line for her turn, and when it was finally her turn, the coach screamed at her in front of every child and parent that he was "done with her" and that she needed to leave the "His court." This was the third time she had been publicly removed from class that day. At this point I was extremely confused. I had witnessed nothing that justified this level of hostility toward an eight-year-old child. Assuming I had missed something, I walked to the side of the court and waited respectfully for an opportunity to speak with the coach. I did not interrupt the class or demand his attention. I simply wanted to understand what had happened so I could address the issue appropriately with my daughter. Instead of speaking to me professionally, the coach yelled at me to get off "his court." I was standing along the same perimeter where other parents and people walking laps were located. He then stated that he was "done" with my daughter and that we needed to leave. My daughter had spent most of the session crying on the sidelines confused over the situation, and it was obvious this coach had no intention of handling the situation professionally. Rather than force my daughter to remain there in tears, I quietly collected my son and began leaving with both of my children. As I walked away, without saying a single word to him, the coach repeatedly and aggressively yelled across the gym at my back: "Let them go! Let them go! I don't care! Get off my court! Let them go!" I want to be absolutely clear: This entire confrontation was completely one-sided. As a parent, I trusted your organization with the care of my children. That responsibility includes their emotional well-being as much as their physical safety. These classes are designed for children between the ages of six and twelve. Young children become frustrated, cry, make mistakes, and need guidance. It is the responsibility of a coach to teach, encourage, and redirect them--not scream at them, publicly humiliate them, or repeatedly remove them from participation without explanation. Most heartbreaking of all is lasting impact this coach has had on an eight-year-old child. This is not coaching. This is not discipline. This is intimidation. We were the target of his aggression multiple times without explanation.

Unfortunately, my experience at ATX Pole Studio felt much more manual and disorganized by comparison. When classes were canceled last minute and it was towards the end of a reoccurring bill month, I had to personally reach out to the owner to have credits added back to my account, which became frustrating over time. It would be so much easier if this process was automated like other studios I've attended. The auto-renewal policy also caught me off guard. I didn't see any mention of the 30-day cancellation notice in my receipts or online account, so I was surprised to be charged again after I emailed to cancel before my next billing date. I was told I'd receive credits to use in the future, which I'm assuming I'll have to chase down owner again to get them added as I currently don't see any credits in my account. To make matters even more unsettling, I was automatically charged again the following month, though the owner did issue a credit right after, but again...why is this so difficult in 2025? In the end, I decided to cancel my membership because the overall experience just didn't feel efficient or easy to manage, especially compared to other studios that are more streamlined. I hope the studio improves its systems, and the owner chooses not to ignore emails when it comes to be billing issues.
