It gets great natural light, which makes it feel warm and welcoming right when you walk in. The staff is always friendly, attentive, and efficient. The food is what keeps me coming back. This time I had the flat rice noodles with spicy basil sauce (Pad Kee Mao), and I always go with tofu as my protein because it's that good. Perfectly crispy on the outside, soft and pillowy on the inside, exactly how I like my tofu prepared. We also ordered the red snapper larb, which was a standout. They break down the fish, lightly batter it with a thin, delicate crust, fry it, and then toss it in a bright, herbaceous vinaigrette. Super flavorful and really well balanced. I did find it alittle overcooked but not in an offensive way. If you're craving Thai and find yourself near New Rochelle, I highly recommend checking this place out. It's about a 15-20 minute drive and super convenient from Throggs Neck and even closer from Pelham Bay.

I'm a big fan of Thai food, so for a long time I would only eat Thai food in Manhattan as I…read morecouldn't find any good places to buy it in the Bronx. When I found Honey Thai Pavilion, I was ecstatic. It soon became my favorite place in the Bronx to have Thai food. If you're as passionate about Thai cuisine as I am, you'll appreciate the wide selection this restaurant has to offer, which includes noodles, seafood, and more! The spicy prik king with chicken which is served with white rice is my particular favorite dish; it's delicious and authentic. This dish can be made as spicy as you like. I also got a few shareable items for the table, shrimp in a blanket, satay chicken skewers and steamed dumplings! Additionally, they serve freshly made pad thai, which has a ton of flavor and really soft noodles and succulent meat. The pad see ew is another great option; the vegetables are fresh and the noodles are usually good! It gets better: a lunch menu is available for $10.50, with generous portions. This is a fantastic way to sample several foods from the menu; it allows you to take a risk without committing entirely, which is ideal if you're looking to step outside of your comfort zone! The 6 line and the subway are only a 5-minute walk away from this site. One thing to bear in mind is that parking can require you to drive around the block once or twice, but as it's a residential neighborhood, there ought to be spots available. One of the restaurant's excellent aspects is that you don't need reservations. It also offers a laid-back atmosphere, nice and helpful staff, and a decent wine selection. They even offered me a complimentary order of spring rolls and a generous pore of wine.

A few years back for a while, they were REALLY going through something where the food just wasn't the same and service was lacking badly. It was like they lost their original chef and didn't have staff to take care of patrons. It was heartbreaking and I had to take a break because I couldn't justify visiting a place that I was so proud of to have in my neighborhood in these conditions. I am very happy to say that they are back and better than ever. The meals are back to being tasty and I've even tried a few newer things after regaining some confidence that they would make it taste good. I do notice that some of the reviews in the past 2-3 years touch on the period when they were really struggling but I would advise those people to go back and try them out again. The pandemic change a lot of things but it is up to the community to keep these 'mom and pop' places alive. They are important to the neighborhood and its always nice to have a place to recommend any visitors or to take guests. I provided a 4 star review because it seems like they may still struggle to employ staff for service and frankly the newer ones that I have had are not doing so great. (Maybe they are still training) A table near us wanted to get cocktails (They have a full bar now ) and the waitress said that she texted the bartender to come but she's waiting for a babysitter ? this was around 7:30 pm and they close pretty soon after that so that was really confusing. I didn't understand why the staff member couldn't look at the ingredients and make the patrons the drink. I started coming back regularly recently and this last visit I placed my order and realized that they waitress wasn't writing any of it down. She had all this confidence and when my food came out (not all together ) it was wrong, not once but twice. I was mortified to send two things back into the kitchen but I really didn't want what they served me. There was apologies and they took the food and the kitchen rectified the order but this didn't need to happen and the restaurant didn't have to loose money based on lack of training. The review and stars are solely based on the FOOD! Keep up the good work-- the kitchen is doing great but try and figure out the staffing issue/training. Until this happens don't expect amazing service ( unless its the owner working the floor-- she's amazing). If you can get passed the service issues, order take out. It's worth it! Recommend: Veggie Pad Kee Mao- always full of fresh veggies Steamed Broccoli- cooked perfectly and crunchy Beef Larb- excellent Thai beef salad

For entrees, I ordered drunken noodles with chicken and extra vegetables, shrimp red curry. I got Thai iced tea to drink, which was advertised as two-for-one special but I was charged for both- and only received one rice and one salad per two entrees. The only thing I liked in the meal was the shrimp red curry which was fragrant, coconutty and good, and the iced tea, everything else was terrible to the point that I could not even eat them, and I always eat everything: the dumplings tasted awful, so did the spring rolls (which I had originally thought would be fresh but were fried) the drunken noodles were sour tasting, the salad was wilting, the soup had no particular flavor. I would not order from here again given only one good thing in the whole meal.

This place is incredibly easy to miss unless you're intentionally looking for it. I've gone past it…read moreso many times without a clue this establishment was even there. I loved the ambiance of the place, it was so cozy, warm and relaxing. The music they were playing matched perfectly with the vibe and aesthetics of the place, it was soft and romantic in a way. There are plenty of tables available for groups or solo dates. This is a perfect place to sit down and journal or get some work done. I literally only waited 10 minutes from start to finish to get my takeout, I sat down on one of the available tables and immediately started reading my Bible app, truly relaxing. Half of the tablets were occupied but everyone appeared to be relaxed and just enjoying their meals so the noise level was low. If you're waiting for takeout they give you a ticket and then bring your takeout to the table you're at. If you ordered in advance for a pick up you just walk to the counter and they hand over your food. The staff were friendly and graceful. While I was ordering my food at the counter, I was able to see the staff handling some of the food. They were plating, and I was pleasantly surprised with the fact that all of them were wearing gloves even while they were taking the prepared food to the tables. You get 5% off your bill if you pay with cash. There are no atms inside. Now let's talk about the actual food, the star of the show. I ordered the claypot braised pork belly and I was notttt disappointed! This meal was such a unique experience. I am used to eating very flavorful and well seasoned dishes overall so I've tasted plenty of dishes that had more flavor than this. However, I have never enjoyed a dish that was so intentional with all of its textures and tastes. The rice was soft and light, and the vegetables had the perfect amount of crunch and spice, while the pork had a mild sweetness to it. The egg was a perfect add on to put it all together. This is the kind of plate that you have to truly eat everything it's served with to fully enjoy all of the different textures and flavors that it brings. If any of the spices or flavors would've been overwhelming, it would take away from the other flavors every item on the plate has to offer. I put a little of everything with each bite, yummm. The only flaw with the dish unfortunately is that the larger portions of the pork were chewy and a bit dry, which based on other reviews seems to be a thing. The smaller pieces were very tender and delicious. I will definitely order again from here. I'm excited to try their homemade soda, coffees and their summer/spring roles Happy yelping and enjoy

I wish there were more locations of this in Manhattan. We made an order at the desk before we seated ourselves and for a Saturday evening, there was quite a bit of open tables which was great. I ordered the Szechuan Braised Beef Noodles and they were absolutely delicious. The noodles tasted a bit like ramen noodles but they were able to grab all the delicious and garlic flavored soup. I really appreciated the soft-boiled egg with its marinated egg whites. I also loved the big tender beef chunks as well. Overall, I really cannot wait to go back to Zhongzhong noodles and I hope that they open up more locations. I will say though that since I last went to the Roosevelt Island location, they have raised their prices quite a bit - maybe $2 or $3 per dish.
