Got bolognese pasta as well as a tiramisu- i was skeptical for for ordering one hot and one cold dish for takeout and it totally met my expectation! The tiramisu's flavor was delicious but it was a bit sad that the dessert tilted to one side during the transportation process so one side has no cake. This review is for lunch restaurant week summer 2019 (2 courses for $26 plus an additional $15 for wine pairing). This place is ALWAYS packed for dinner whenever I walk by so I had to check it out. This restaurant itself is a classic cute cozy italian place with both outdoor and indoor seating. I grabbed a table outside and had the ricotta crostini to start and the pesto gnocchi as an entree. If you love ricotta you must try their crostini - it was drizzled in honey and topped with shaved almonds. Delicious and a good portion size. The pesto gnocchi was fresh and flavorful with a hints of lemon - the portion sizes were so large that I had to box half my gnocchi for later, but I am not complaining. The only bad part about my meal was that the service was a little slow, but I was in no rush and at least they were polite and friendly. read more

First off, I looked a bit like a student, had a backpack on and my nerd glasses, not exactly looking class, but I would say most science nerds post-work fit this description. I definitely felt like I was being treated like I didn't belong there, which is funny given there were two people in the restaurant on this lovely day. I had a glass of white wine, which was fairly good, but I should hope so with the price tag of $17 a glass. Additionally, the pour was a joke; I basically got a sippy-cup of wine in a big glass. I took a glance at the menu, and there was some interesting options, but I decided not to eat given the icy customer service. A neighborhood staple for me! Kicked things off with the Bellini which had more sweet and fruity notes, was refreshing. Between my patty of 3, we shared the Crispy Brussel Sprouts, Chicken Milanese and Parpadelle con Salsiccia. The sprouts were very tasty, and as someone who on average doesn't tend to enjoy them, kept reaching for more. The Milanese was good but nothing to freak out over. The flavor combination or the Salsiccia was very balanced and packed full for each bite. The truffle was a great kick without being too oily. The portions were more than enough for each of us, with just the right amount of space left for dessert. We had the The Princess Cake and Sant Ambroeus, both of which were moist and refreshing but nothing amazing. What made me give Felice 5 stars instead of 4, is the stellar service. I ordered the chicken milanese and to say it was prefect would be an understatement. My friends ordered the salmon and gnocchi which were also extraordinary. My friend and I went for restaurant week on a Monday evening. We had reservations for 6:30 and were seated promptly. The best thing about this restaurant is the service, everyone is so great and observant. Our food was delicious for the most part. We got the ricotta crostini and arancini for appetizers and loved them. My friend got the Milanese for her entree and I got the fusilli. I'm a vegetarian and the only vegetarian option on the restaurant week menu was fusilli. I enjoyed my pasta, but my friend found her chicken to be a bit bland. For dessert she got chocolate gelato and I got tiramisu. We enjoyed both of those as well. The one con to the restaurant is how tight it is inside. We were extremely close to other tables with barely enough room to get through to our seats. One of the guests next to us was joking with us about it. There wasn't an empty seat in the restaurant from 6:30 to 9, so they definitely need those tables, but it is a bit uncomfortable. Overall, a great spot though. read more

People who love to drink may give a better review as this resto's setup as a wine bar but skip the food. Let's start with the drinks. I had a dirty martini and my girlfriend ordered red wine (I think it was a Cabernet merlot blend). My girlfriend loved her wine. My martini initially didn't come very dirty, but once I let my waiter know, he immediately brought me a side of olive juice, and my next martini came perfectly. For food, we ordered the veal meatballs which were delicious. They were huge and meaty and seasoned very well (maybe just a little too much salt). The fettuccine bolognese had a very tomato forward sauce, the quality of the sauce was clearly different from other restaurants in a positive way (maybe better quality tomatoes). The pappardelle with sausage was our favorite. The sauce was simple with a hint of butter, and it really allowed the sausage, pasta and herbs to do the heavy lifting of the pasta. The sausage was tender and the herbs were fresh and balanced out the heavy ness of the other ingredients nicely. Both pastas were cooked al dente. Our waiter was great. I came here for lunch, and it was pretty empty surprisingly. I've passed by here in the evenings and it is usually full. In any case, service was excellent and the manager did come over a few times to ask how we were doing. The ambience is cozy and pleasant - nothing over the top. It's located on a corner so it's nice and bright. The bread is quite delicious with the olive oil. 1. Calamari: I neglected to read that this wasn't fried. It came in a stew form with small pieces of squid. I prefer the large rings! The flavor wasn't bad, but just wasn't what I expected. 2. Duck and foie gras pate with bread: This was delicious. The pate was creamy and sweet. Unfortunately, there wasn't enough bread, and by the time we wanted to ask for more, our entrees had come. I would highly recommend this dish, especially if you have at least 4 people because there's plenty of stuff to dip the bread in. 3. Ravioli: The portions aren't huge, but the flavors were good. Overall nothing that special. 4. Branzino: This was good, but also not amazing. What I thought was amazing was actually the vegetables that the branzino came on! I liked the orange sauce they had, which went very well with the fish. 5. Coffee and small cookies: A delightful little display to end a meal. The small coin-shaped cookies with the chocolate swirls were awesome. 6. Hazelnut cake: Must GET! It's a fragrant dessert with a slight crunch in addition to the overall mousse consistency. I've been here a couple times, for drinks/ appetizers and after dinner cocktails, and it is a great place to meet friends or a date, with an upbeat energy. Nice knowing that if one of the Neighboring Felice establishments is too crowded you only need to walk next door to another. The wine and Mezcel old fashioned were super. They change their menu regularly so even items from a couple weeks prior are no longer available including an interesting trio of salmon tar tar, shrimp, and grilled octopus. I loved the idea and everything was very good except I was not a fan of the sauce served with the octopus. The cheese platters, also very good. On a rainy Saturday evening when we had no plans, my fiancé and I asked another couple who lived nearby if they wanted to stay local and go to Felice 64 for dinner. I hadn't been back to any of the Felice restaurants since my "1st" date with Ben and I am glad we decided to visit this place once again! We had gone to the one located in the 80's previously, and I must say that if I had to compare the two locations, I much prefer Felice 64. It is smaller, more intimate, and seems much more rustic Italian. Although, it is unfortunate that they do not accept reservations and are not on Open Table when, the other Felice locations are on Open Table. The charcuterie selection is very mouthwatering and delicious. Each bite of cheese and meat was scrumptious and of superb, fresh quality. The Crostonis on the menu are all very unique and different. There are 5 different kinds to choose from on the menu. Some covered in vegetables and cheese, some covered with meat and cheese, and while one even had swordfish! We selected two Crostonis that looked extremely similar on the plate, but tasted so different from each other! Crostone Burrata Filante Eggplant, zucchini and burrata cheese served on toasted Tuscan bread with mixed greens. The eggplant was very fresh and a great touch that offset the flavor of the burrata. The burrata was extra creamy and melted in your mouth. The bread was nice and crunchy which made it a nice compliment to the burrata. Crostone Ricotta Fig jam, ricotta, honey and toasted almonds served on toasted Tuscan bread with mixed greens. The fig jam and honey offset the rich taste of the ricotta. The toasted almonds gave it that nice crunchy texture and nutty flavor. MMM MMM good! Fusilli al Ferretto served with homemade tomato sauce and burrata cheese Anything with burrata is good! The pasta was cooked perfectly and the sauce was fresh and you could tell it was made in house. Seafood Special with Lobster This was a great choice from the special menu. It was loaded with seafood, especially lobster! I would order it every time if it was on the regular menu. Felice 64 is definitely a place to return to!
