One of the best dining experiences in Martinsville and Henry County. Casual, laid back atmosphere in a 50's diner decor. Service is excellent - very attentive. My husband and I visited Fenderz for the first time in 2014. We loved it so much, my gal pals and I visited in 2017, and this past Saturday, my entire family - all 17 of us - came for lunch! From the youngest, 2 years old, to the oldest, 53 years old, we ALL RAVED about the food! Our hostesses/waitresses were amazing, and the food was EVEN BETTER! Mostly everyone had the burgers - and they did not disappoint! Our apps were hot and fresh, and I ADORED my homemade chips with ranch dip! The corndog nuggets were fresh, crispy and the kids loved them, with their cheese fries. My daughter and her boyfriend dined on mac and cheese bites, and fries with "Fenderz sauce" - which definitely needs to be bottled and sold! Then, all of us HAD to have ice cream sundaes, splits, and shakes. I mean, when in Fenderz..., am I right? What we especially loved was the 50's memorabilia and the great music that played while we were dining. One of our "littles" enjoyed "be-bopping" while eating his meal. (Some of our "bigs" did, too!) While there food is quite good the management cannot help but to treat their employees like absolute shit. I know of someone who was fired recently and only worked there for a month. Within that month she was given very little training hours (maybe two days a week). Following her training period she was yelled at for not knowing what to do at times but was never told how or what to do in these circumstances. She was then fired because "someone said it was the worst service they ever had" in a Facebook message. The management at this place needs to learn how to treat their employees with some dignity and respect. read more
