The coffee was hot and constantly refilled, the portions were generous, and the service was friendly in a laid-back environment. I have a hard time resisting traditional eggs Benedict, so that is what I ordered. My partner had the pork loin with eggs and a side of grits. Neither of us was disappointed. TikTok led us to this cute brunch spot in Greensboro, NC!! The decor was modern but simplistic, very comfy! The waiter was very polite and friendly, he made sure we had what we needed and answered any questions we had about the menu and food choices. The food was delicious! My niece and cousin had the pancake, they were the size of the plate and quite tasty! My other niece had the crab cake sandwich, she said it was good but the fruit was plated on the same plate so it was warm which was not appealing to her so she didn't eat it. I had the French toast platter with the fried chicken. The French toast was pretty good but the bread used was pretty flat but it was tasty and the chicken was overcooked, there was some black spots from being fried too long. He Said: A serviceable breakfast spot with excellent staff. We needed a pre-Billy Strings base layer and Scrambled delivered. I had corned beef hash and eggs and enjoyed it well enough. The corned beef hash was either homemade or made nearby, no doubt. Even so, it was fairly average. Too salty for my tastes, too fatty, too stringy. Oh well. The people were very very nice. She Said: I'll second the assessment that the staff are great. I'd go back just for the terrific service. I was also happier with my breakfast: two eggs over medium, toast, bacon, and hash browns. The star was the hash browns. They were done well with crispiness on the outside and creaminess on the inside. I also got a Bloody Mary and it was well crafted. The rest was just fine. Prepare yourself for a long wait if you arrive on a weekend at 11:30am. My wait was 2 hrs. The good news is you can join a waitlist that you can access on the Yelp app, I would do that if I were you. I had a 45 min drive to get to Scrambled so I put my party of 6 on the waitlist before I left the house. I was shooting for a reservation for brunch at noon. Glad I did. After arriving at 11:30 I checked w Hostess to let her know we were on the premises. The wait was another hour but finally my name was called and we all cheered like we had won a Grammy! This place is popular as the food is very good, plentiful on the plate and reasonably priced. The space is smallish but they have made the most of what space they do have. There is a stand alone bar at one end of the room, the rest is table seating. We sat down and our waitress took our drink orders right away. It took about 15 mins before they arrived. I had a Cappuccino. The others had cold drinks such as lattes etc. After some time our orders were written up and put in w the cook. The food was very good and very fresh. I got the corned beef hash skillet topped w 2 pouched eggs and an English muffin. The corned beef tasted like it came from a well seasoned beef as it should but this one stood out from many other hashes Ive had in the past, that weren't very memorable. it would be nice if Yelp used a 10 star rating scale instead of a five star scale. I would have given Scrambled 5 stars on a 10 point scale. Instead I had to give Scrambled 2 stars. The coffee was bad. The cup the coffee came in was dirty and the rim of the cup was chipped. The waitress was at best haphazard. Against my better judgement we ate outside on the porch which was noisy from the cars on the road and the TERRIBLE music which was coming over a very cheap sounding speaker. I. Love. Scrambled! I've never had a bad meal when visiting Scrambled. It's not only my favorite breakfast place in the area, it's in my Top 10 overall. I've ordered everything from the menu at least once and never regretted it. The skillets are particularly good, as are the pancakes. But, a warning, the pancakes are big! I am a big eater and I rarely finish one pancake, so I don't recommend ordering two. The only complaint I have, and it's a small one, is that I always sit at the bar and at some point they removed the TV that hung on the wall behind it. It was great to catch up on news or sports while I ate instead of trying to hold my phone in one hand. My recommendation is you should try Scrambled as soon as you can. read more

Coffee was middle of the road, decent but a bit bland. Wife is always on the hunt for great pancakes. She got one huge chocolate chip pancake. First words out of her mouth, "I can make better at home", which is typically not what you want. I tried it, nothing really wrong with it, but it's just a plain old pancake you could make at home. Didn't have that fluffiness or crisp edges or a solid batter flavor. Good, not great. I had the fried green tomato house special. The smoked gouda pimento cheese mix was actually quite tasty! And so was the balsamic onion jam on top. But the main event, the actual tomato, wasn't ripe. It was cooked decently, but biting into an unripe tomato usually isn't very appealing. I'm also never for a 3% credit card charge. Yeah, we get it...you get charged so you're handing that down to the customers. Well most every restaurant has that charge and most do not make the customer pay for it. I really like coming to Scrambled. It's a change of pace from other breakfast spots and it's just been great throughout these years. In recent visits, we've been lucky to not hit that big of a line and sometimes we can go right in and be seated, even during peak times. The staff is super nice and inviting and majority of the time they are very attentive. I appreciate their menu because there's a lot of variety and unique dishes without being too outlandish to where I wouldn't even want to try it. My friends and I wanted to get together for the holidays for breakfast so we chose Scrambled Southern Diner. It is absolutely the best choice. I been wanting to come here for a while but hadn't got the chance to. I missed out on " The Little Gem on Spring Garden Street". There is a outdoor patio in front of the restaurant with seatings as well as a small backyard patio to hangout. The entrance is at the rear of the restaurant. We walked in and got greeted right away. We were seated and serviced quickly. Breakfast is served all day and lunch is after 11am. Usually parking would be full before opening and people would be put on a waiting lists. My friends and I ordered 3 different plates and we all shared them potluck style. We tried the Chicken Little, Waffle platter and Pancakes platter. Everyone of the dishes stand by its name and was delicous. One of the most savory breakfast I had in a while. Suprisingly there was plenty of parking and no wait today. We came around 8:30am. Took me long enough to try this place out but knowing that the wait is not long and parking is still available if you come right at opening. Iam returning to try more on the menu. I've been to Scrambled a few times now, and it continues to be one of my go-to brunch spots in Greensboro! I loved seeing them featured on NC Weekend, it's well-deserved. They're always accommodating, and I really appreciate the Yelp waitlist feature because weekend mornings can get busy. We had a short wait on a Saturday, but that's to be expected during peak brunch hours, and I actually like that they only seat complete parties. It keeps things running smoothly. They mentioned on the door on my last visit on Saturday, November 15, 2025 they were short-staffed that morning and operating with a limited menu, but honestly, I wouldn't have noticed if they hadn't said anything, service still felt attentive and well-paced. The food was great. Our party of three ordered four entrées, and everything came out hot, tasty and correct. The pancakes were HUGE, literally bigger than the plate, I asked for chocolate chips, they happily added them! My only small disappointment was the iced latte, I requested it plain but it came with vanilla. Not a big deal, just a surprise. Overall, Scrambled continues to impress. Monday morning looking for a breakfast spot, this had good ratings. Our waitress Tammy was super friendly and have no complaints we each ordered a coffee drink because the decor around the restaurant mentions coffee so we figured the coffee must be good. Not at all. My husband is a fan of biscuits and gravy so he ordered that with a ribeye on the side. He ordered it as he usually does "as rare as they'll make it". While he'd prefer it blue he settled with it being rare. I ordered the breakfast platter with French toast, grits, eggs over medium, and bacon. The grits came out warm not hot, with that film that forms when grits have been sitting. All the rest of the plate was hot so they must have placed the grits first. Eggs were cooked perfectly medium. French toast was delicious. Grits, while not hot, were seasoned very well. Now I ordered a side of fried green tomatoes. They looked amazing. Perfectly fried great crunch, but absolutely no flavor. Tasted like plain breading straight out the box. While the majority of the meal was amazing and service was nice. There are things I know not to order from here now. After my experience I can confidently say, Scrambled Southern Diner in Greensboro, NC has some gooooood cooking. I was initially skeptical about what my experience would be because pulling up to the establishment leaves a lot to be desired. The building is a burgundy hued ramshackle of a place, in much need of a paint job. In addition, if you aren't familiar with the location, you will not know that the entrance and the parking are behind the building, and you will make the mistake that I did (which is entering through the rear, street-facing door). Upon entering (the rear door), I encountered a bar and was redirected to the front of the dining room where there es actually a front door and a small seating area and host stand to wait to be seated. Since it was mid day on a weekday, I didn't have any wait and they seated me immediately. The dining room is a bit "cozy," and it was comfortably full of patrons, but that lets me know this place must be fairly popular. Diners were flowing in and out throughout my meal. The ambiance is a medium-loud mixture of voices and music, but nothing that you couldn't hear those at your table. The decor is nothing fancy. Perhaps shabby-chic country? I wasn't turned off by it. After being seated my waiter came quickly to take my order. The menu was a mix of delicious southern staples with a few modern twists and some vegetarian offerings. I ordered catfish with cheddar grits and a mixed salad, with a side of scrambled eggs with onions. I also ordered tea. When I tell you everything came out piping hot and like my Momma had just cooked for me, I was pleasantly surprised. Baby! The only thing I was wanting was more than one filet of fish. However, for the price, I was satisfied with everything. My meal was delicious, service on point, and everything including tip for under $25. I will be back, I just hope they spruce up the place so I can give it that five-star status. It was just 2 of us, not like it was a large group! There were about 4-5 parties that were then seated ahead of us. We waited about 15 min more. Then we were seated and it took about 5 min to be greeted because none of the servers on the patio knew whose tables were whose. We ordered at 12:24, didn't get our food until 1:15. Yes. 50 minutes waiting for our food!!!! After we had already been there for 25 min when we were first on the list! Server apologized but didn't seem that it was abnormal. Then my eggs weren't correct so I had to ask for more. Never saw a manager, nothing was done to rectify the poor experience. If you're going during the week, like we did last time, I'm sure it's fine. But I won't be going back when it's busy. read more

For the first day off the year, Scrambled had a very laid back, welcoming atmosphere; not the usual waitlist song-and-dance that happens during peak weekend days. I was seated immediately at the bar and promptly served a white grape mimosa by Courtney. Courtney was a breath of fresh air in the serving industry, checking in with me during my meal, being personable and caring during my dining experience. However, we were lucky one Sunday morning to go in, and there was no wait! I was in the mood for one of their skillets, so I went with the green eggs and ham with the hash browns. Comes with chorizo and a few different mixed in. Delightful! I've also had the same skillet with the cheddar grits, it is also a solid dish. When choosing the bread, you have to go with the biscuit.
