I was really undecided on what I wanted and Brian recommended the Kiwi Basil fruit tea and it was really good. Not a typical beverage item I see at most other places (we've definitely had our fair share). Hubs ordered the Green Apple fruit tea and it was delish. Youngest son ordered the dirty boba and my oldest ordered cookies and cream milk tea and he said it was pretty good! Atmosphere was inviting and clean. Simple decor. This place seriously impressed me from the first sip to the last bite. The milk tea was rich, smooth, and clearly made with quality ingredients, not overly sweet or watered down like so many spots can be. They had run out of regular boba when I visited, but I gave their agar boba a try and ended up loving it just as much for its light, refreshing texture. To top it off, the Oreo dessert was perfectly moist and balanced, not too heavy, and the kind of treat you keep thinking about after you leave. Great spot to study or hang out. They can fit around 20-25 people inside. Very clean and a bit chilly so layer or bring a jacket. Immediately greeted by a friendly face who let us sample the jasmine and Four Season. Keep in mind that they are unsweetened and it's more to taste the notes and bitterness. The jasmine was a bit too bitter and in my experience, it's hard to cut that even has a milk tea. The four season was less bitter and had really pleasant floral notes and they were light. The location is a bit hidden and parking can be limited depending on how busy it is in the plaza. The shop was spacious and clean. This could be a great place to study or work. Feng Cha has both traditional and their own spin on fun drinks as well. The baristas were very knowledgeable and friendly. I ordered the Bursting Dragonfruit fruit tea. It was refreshing, especially on a hot day. You could taste the dragonfruit and the tea they used without any of the flavors overpowering each other. This is my new favorite boba shop in Folsom. I was in Folsom to go shopping and looked up nearby boba shops. Feng Cha was nearby and I had never been before. I figured today was a great day to try out their drinks. I read several other yelp reviews to determine what might be the most popular and well-liked items from the menu. I decided to try the Dirty Boba with less ice and half the normal sweetness level. I also chose to try the Bursting Dragon Fruit full sweetness plus added boba. I was also hungry and opted to try the popcorn chicken. The employee who took my order was friendly and had a nice welcoming smile. He made sure to check if any adjustments were needed on the fruit drink. I thought that was very helpful. Our drinks were made pretty quickly and as I picked them up I was told the popcorn chicken would be ready very soon. The dirty boba was the still pretty sweet even at half sweet. I think the brown sugar syrup and boba adds some added sweetness. However, I found despite not adjusting the sweetness of the dragon fruit tea it was delicious. The boba had the perfect chewy texture. The popcorn chicken was hot out of the fryer and tasted really good. We were provided skewer-type sticks to eat the chicken. All in all I would absolutely visit Feng Cha Folsom if in the area. The staff even said "thanks for stopping in" as I was leaving. I honestly would've given a 5 stars, but I think a 4 star will suffice. The reason is as posted below in regard to the CONS. Everything is perfect, and the service was great, it's just upon check-out, it is just sub-par to go above and beyond their customer service: Pros: -Friendly staff. -Easy to read menus, pricing is descent at today's inflationary rate in Mar 2023. -The vicinity is clean and inviting, and the latrine is immaculate. -They serve finger foods (garlic/basic fries, lumpia, etc) as well, not just (boba) drinks! :) -Accepts all forms of payment; Debit/Credit/Cash (Visa/Discover/Mastercard/ Amex); just NO checks. Cons: ***Not military-friendly business. No military discount. However, download their app and get 20% off. I honestly don't want to download any apps to save 20% off, but there's no way for the cashier/company to bypass this nonsense by just hitting an "employee discount button/app discount button" at the register without downloading app when showing my Military ID? It just mind-boggles me. I've seen other businesses who have gone above and beyond where they don't do military discounts but to show ID, they give me the Senior Discount rate instead. It may not seem much, but at least it offsets paying the California Sales Tax at a reduced rate by as much as 10-20% off. You feel me? You are still not losing business. Now, will I be back? Maybe. This is a cute little spot tucked by Folsom high school. We came and got some taro milk tea and it was just ok. It wasn't sweet enough for me. The milk tea itself is on the lighter side -- not too creamy, with more emphasis on the tea flavor, which I personally prefer. It was empty inside upon arrival on a Sunday around noon so service was quick! It was tidy and clean inside with ample seating. There are two kiosks to order from and there was minimal contact with the workers. I was a bit overwhelmed with the selection of drinks to choose from but ended up choosing the mango paradise from a friend's suggestion. I was a bit surprised it was available as it is not mango season and other boba shops don't offer their mango drinks right now. It is basically a mango pomelo sago which I have tried at different boba shops. I got 0% sweetness as I don't like my drinks sweet but was a little worried it would lack flavor because mangoes are not in season atm but was pleasantly surprised! The drink was pretty good and tasty, and the perfect sweetness for me. The fresh mangoes didn't need any additional sweetener. There were however some ice chunks in my drink. The drink cost me $7.50 which is on the pricier end. All my friends enjoyed their drinks too. I would definitely come back and try their other drinks when I'm in the area. read more

I love how unsweetened the tea was as I got a 50/50 sweetness. You can taste the floral hints of the tea. I was very excited when I found out we have a Feng Cha in town. I had it for the first time in a Berkeley last year and I remember the drinks being really good. This time around I tried the same drinks I did the first time, dirty boba and strawberry overload with boba. Both drinks were adjusted to 50% sugar. We came 30 mins before closing and we're impressed by the quality of the drinks still. The dirty boba is still sweet enough with 50% and honestly if you didn't tell me I'd think it was 100%. No complaints as this was a solid milk tea. The strawberry overload is refreshing while being sweet and tart. It is also still sweet enough with it being 50% sweet. The boba was the perfect consistency which is impressive during the end of the day. I really want to come back and try their other drinks, especially the matcha breeze and kiwi basil green tea. I definitely will be coming back here when I'm in Folsom again! read more

It's family owned and the owners are 2 super sweet couples. I have returned on several other occasions. Drinks here are great and consistent. They use real tea, not powdered/artificial flavorings. All drinks can have ice and sugar level adjusted; (Sugar - 0%, 25%, 50%, 75%, or regular sugar) (ice - no ice, less ice, regular ice). Staff are knowledgeable, friendly and prompt in service. 1. Chrysanthemum Ginger Honey Tea This comes in a tea bag with fresh ingredients. The flavor was on par as one would expect from the title of the drink. This drink is perfect for a hot summer day as it's refreshing and cooling. 2. Dirty Boba My friend got this drink and said it was good, but a bit too creamy for her liking. I think it's a combination of black milk tea and thai milk tea. She got it with 25% sugar with boba and felt even that was a bit too sweet. If you like more dessert type of drinks, then you will like this. 3. Four Seasons Spring Milk Tea It's listed under pure tea, but if you ask the staff, they can make it into milk tea style for you. I got it with aloe vera and no sugar. It turned out perfect with a good blend of mixed tea flavor and Oh, and they have desserts here. They sell these small little cakes with different flavors to choose from. We tried the Taro Chocolate & Tiramisu Treasure. Both were great for sharing and a delightful treat. They were not too sweet and the cake itself was nice and soft, kinda like sponge-cake texture. The tiramisu one was my favorite. I recommend refrigerating it for mayne 30-60 mins before eating to allow the milky foam/cream to cool ... makes it even more enjoyable. Definitely worth checking out!! read more

So excited to have a Feng Cha in the Sacramento region! I remember one of my first bruleed milk teas and the milk foam cheesecake was from a Feng Cha in the Bay Area years ago, so I was really happy to hear they just opened up. Folsom doesn't have a ton of boba places either so it'll be nice to have somewhere to get boba when we are in the area. It's only a few minutes from the Folsom Outlets but the actual parking lot it's in is not really near anything, so they're not going to get a ton of foot traffic. However there was a pretty steady flow of customers during our visit and most of the tables were taken by the time we left our cozy couch spot. I was expecting a long line for just being newly opened but it just seemed like a regular day. Good for us though because we didn't have to wait in any lines but hopefully they'll get busier and get the word out that they have opened up! If they do get busier, don't worry - you can easily order ahead on their website! I wanted to try their milk tea since that's often how I judge the quality of a boba shop but their fruit drinks just sounded too good to turn down on this 90 degree day. I opted for the summer melon tea since our summer days with watermelon are numbered! I didn't make any adjustments and it was delicious with perfect sweetness. Their standard ice isn't a lot though so I wish it was colder, but after I kept my leftover in the fridge and drank it again, it was even more refreshing at a cooler temp. My husband picked the mango au lait and that was super delicious too. It was fruity and creamy and tasted great with boba. We also picked a cake for dessert and really enjoyed the taro chocolate. It was just the right size for us to share and I liked that it wasn't super sweet. The milk foam cream was light and fluffy. The consistency of the cake is a mix between sponge cake and Japanese cheesecake, so good! I wanted to order more to take home but didn't think it would stay fresh for long so I guess we will just have to go back! We came here the other day with the family after we went to the Outlets. We Yelped for Boba places and since this place got highly rated, we decided to check it out. Upon walking in, we noticed how clean and cozy it was. They had a nice little seating area and an area where they had games, like Uno and Chess. It was nice because the boba place by our house is really tiny and not a place you can really sit down in and enjoy your drink. We ordered their Dirty Boba and their Mango Breeze with boba, along with a side of fries. The drinks were huge and reasonably priced. The Dirty Boba was $6.25 and the Mango Breeze with boba was $7.25. The fries were $4.50. Both boba drinks were delicious, especially the Mango Breeze, which had a layer of sweet cream on top. They also had a few single stall bathrooms tucked in the corner. I know this is a boba place but we would have loved if they had more food choices, like burgers (since they sell fries). They did have little snacks like fries and mozzarella sticks. Overall, 4 stars for that reason. We will look forward to coming back here next time we're in the area. read more

I thought that drinks were unique enough to stand out from other boba places, but still familiar to someone that's never had boba drinks before. I have to visit a place more than 3 times before I can write a review. This place hasn't disappointed me once! Hence the 5 star review. It's such a cozy little spot to come and do some work while enjoying a cold drink and some popcorn chicken. I came during the summer when school is out so the vibes were more chill. I hear they get busy when the high school is in session. I always order their popcorn chicken. Hands down the best popcorn chicken I've had and I've been to many many boba spots. The batter to chicken ratio is perfect! It's not heavy nor does it make you queasy after eating it. You can also ask for alittle bit of their chili pepper on the side for an extra kick/seasoning. Dip it in some sweet chili sauce *chef kiss* For the drink, I ordered the Kiwi basil and added lychee jelly, I kept the sweetness normal and I think adding the lychee jelly made it a bit sweeter than how it's normally served so keep that in mind when adding toppings and deciding sweetness level.
