I've always loved Lazi Cow's business model of their collectible glass cups for only a dollar upgrade. This location, located in the same lot as REI and Petsmart, is small and has limited seating, but the service has always been friendly and fast. The interior is clean and there is one kiosk to order your drinks from, or you can talk to the singular staff member if you'd rather order in person or have questions. Their fruit teas are what I usually go for. I've tried their matcha in the past but of course it doesn't compare to the specialty matcha shops I'm used to. As with all other boba places, you can customize ice and sweetness level. They have some signature drinks and also a build-your-own section of the menu. Honestly, I mainly come here to collect their glass cups since they have different styles almost every time I've gone, and some of the themes are super cute. There aren't a ton of boba places in Folsom, and this one is in a nice location, so we will definitely continue to support this franchise. read more

The reusable glass jars at Lazi Cow are so cute, when I was in the Sacramento area during the summer, I was asked to pick up a drink and have it paid for, (so my husband got the Cowramel Coffee) if she can have the glass afterwards. With 5 locations in and around Sacramento, I stopped by Folsom since it was close to the freeway. Lazi Cow (Folsom) is a boba tea place. It is located in the shopping plaza with the REI, Ulta, and Fenton's on Iron Point Drive. Super close to the Highway 50 and East Bidwell exit. It is counter service and geared for to go orders since there is no seating. You order at the counter with a human being, no self serve kiosk. So having intolerance to fructose and lactose, it limits my boba tea drink options. The employee that helped me was super patient and knowledgeable about the drink menu and ingredients. He actively listened to provide me drink recommendations that would not gut punch me. To be extra cautious, he verified that the fruit tea drinks are made with syrup that contains fructose. He did so by reading the ingredients on the bottles. 5 stars for the excellent customer service. To be honest, due to my food allergies my options were limited to matcha milk tea or assam black tea. Both are not made with the fructose syrup and can be made with lactose free milk. I choose the assam milk tea made with soy milk at 50% sweetness with boba. Sweeter than 50% would require adding syrup, but it was sweet enough. It had a deep, rich, creamy flavor. Sweet dessertish tea. The tapioca balls were soft with a fresh chewy texture. For an extra dollar, I bought glass drinking bottle which my drink was served in. They had various graphics to choose from. read more

This boba place tucked in the shopping complex near Ulta & Pet Smart. We visited on Friday evening and were served immediately. They offered 2 container options: plastic & glass (with extra $1 for glass). We opted for plastic. - Fruity dream: the tea was refreshing but it was a tiny bit too sweet for me because I forgot to adjust the sweetness. The jellies were good and sweet. - Strawburst (50% sugar): delicious! It tasted like strawberry milkshake (creamy and not too sweet). Great variety on the menu and this is probably one of the more convenient Lazi Cow locations as it's right next to the HWY 50 exit/ramp. Service is great here and very friendly. It is more of a grab and go boba shop, there's no seating available. This was such a cute boba/tea spot. Right when you walk in there's a huge mural painted on the wall so beautiful. There's one size for each drink you can pay a extra dollar for the glass tumbler. We purchased the glass tumbler which turned out to be really cute. The mangonada was so refreshing this is going to be a go to summer drink for sure! The sugar daddy was really good as well! It would appear that their flavoring concentrate is also the sweetener. Essentially, if you ask for less sweet, expect less flavor with some drinks. My friends and I came a few weeks ago and it was pretty busy. There was only one worker there (I think the owner) and he was working hard and was apologetic for the wait. We were pretty understanding and appreciated that he acknowledged the longer than usual wait time. This is a cute Lazi Cow tea shop. They're all pretty much very similar, as it is a franchise. The staff was very helpful in assisting me with selecting my order and giving recommendations. I ordered the passion fruit tea in a glass cup. I like the drink in terms of the balance between the sweet flavors and the strong tea flavor, however, next time I will omit the lychee jelly - I don't like too many extra stuff in my drink or chewy textures when drinking tea. I guess I'm sort of old school in that sense - less is more for me lol. I'm also not an overly sweet person, so this was perfect. I think next time, I'll also swap the black tea for green tea for a lighter tea flavor. I love tea, so I don't mind either tea. Overall, it was a great experience and I will return to try other drinks. I kept seeing this place pop up on Yelp, so I figured I'd try it. I ordered the Fifty Shades of Earl Grey Milk tea, which is Earl Grey and Lavender Milk Tea, and I also added boba. I've tried several other Early Grey Lavender Milk teas and I think this one takes one of the top spots. It was an equal balance of the Earl Grey and Lavender versus one overpowering the other. When you order, you have the option of either the standard plastic cup or the glass jar. I opted for the glass jar as seen below, it's super cute. There's a whole with a cover in the center of the lid so you can stick your straw through it, and if you're like me and struggle to finish your milk tea all at once, but want to save it for later, this is perfect. The store itself is designed nicely and is really well kept, too! The staff are friendly and even with other people coming in to order, my drink was made pretty quickly and still quality. I made the 40-min drive to Folsom (20 mins of it just getting out of Roseville) to visit this new Lazi Cow location in the Folsom Gateway shopping center. The interior is not very spacious but very clean, and only up to 6 guests at one time are allowed inside the store. The drinks pictured on the wall were all appealing and I was a bit in a dilemma having to choose since I also wanted something of a fruity drink but I eventually decided on the Cookies N Cream with honey boba (add'l $0.50). Love at first sip! Cold and refreshing smoothie! It's heaven in a glass... there's something about the combination of sweet bubble teas and deliciously chewy tapioca balls that I find totally irresistible. The cups are actually glass bottles with screw top lids. Reusable at home. Super cool. There was a bit of a line but it went fast. I also ordered the Garlic & Herb Seasoned Fries which took an extra 5-min wait. Yes, they also offered snacks (similar to T-4). I may be a little biased but I'm loving Lazi Cow so far. Today, I finally made it to Lazi Cow. I did it all for supporting a small business and boba!! My experience made it worth the trip! It's located in a shopping plaza (unsure if this is the Palladio; I'm not at all familiar with Folsom) next to Chipotle. Much like their sister store in Sacramento, they have the cute wall decor that makes boba selfies so fun. This location seems slightly smaller than Sac's, and they do limit 6 customers at a time due to Covid19. The cashier who assisted me was really friendly and helpful. No deal came up with check in and had to ask what drink is 25% off. The answer: any!! Yesssssss! I asked if the cashier wanted to see my phone screen for proof of check in, she said no. I ordered the hazelnut milk tea w/ oat milk and honey boba. It was sweet and had a mellow taste to it. I wasn't at all overly sweet. I enjoyed it a lot. It was lunch time, I was getting hungry, and had a long drive back home. I ordered their tots with Cajun seasoning. It had no spice or heat that is typical to cajun seasoning, but, the tots were well seasoned and delicious. I would order it again. The sticks included to eat the tots were a nice and pleasant surprise!! No greasy fingers on my drive back home! Win! It's truly the little things that make a difference for me! Covid19 precautions: only 6 customers allowed in store at a time, employees wore masks, masks are required in store (kudos to the cashier asking 2 mask less customers entering to put on their masks!! Public Service Announcement: if you can not handle caffeine, refrain from drinking the delicious caffeinated milk teas from Lazi Cow! I have not had milk tea in months and forgot about the caffeine effect. Drank the green tea version of lazi cow bmt and ended up being awake from 230 in the AM and have not slept since! For the caffeine free options, the specialty drinks are all caffeine free! I got the Dinh taro for my pregnant wife and we both enjoyed it! The boba stayed chewy and did not get hard hours after the drink was made. I might tinker the the sweetness to 75% or dilute it with some water to split it if you want to be frugal. I originally picked the lazi cow bmt for the vanilla and egg pudding and boba, but they switched to green tea to lower the caffeine content for me. Unfortunately I drank it at the wrong time of day (night) and effed my next day due to my own fault. I am very happy to have a decent boba place with quality boba to go to in folsom. I will explore the caffeine free section especially as global warming takes over summer time this year. I also fancy their glass bottles and makes the drinks more worth while! We ordered the Cowchata and I can not remember what my wife ordered so I will base it off of my drink. It tastes like a horchata, but full of ice and slush. The drink is very cold so make sure you can drink this on a hot day. It was super sweet which is nice. The cups are made out of glass and comes in 1 size. Due to covid-19, they do not recycle the cups just yet for a discount that is why the price is higher than other places. They also have 0.35 charge for credit card usage and 0.15 for a togo bag. The snack/food portions are not substantial. The drinks here come in cute glass bottles with designs that change from time-to-time. Sometimes they allow you to choose from plastic cups for $1 off. This location is definitely on the smaller side compared to the other ones. There are no tables inside so make sure you plan on taking your drinks to go. I ordered the Lazi Cow Style BMT which comes with boba and egg pudding but I didn't taste much egg pudding. The tea itself was good though! I really enjoyed my husband's drink more though - the Joe Marma. It's a black milk tea topped with Thai tea and charcoal. The charcoal doesn't add any flavor but makes the drink look cool! I liked the subtle Thai tea flavor with the black milk tea. The boba was pretty fresh, I've had softer versions but this wasn't too bad. SO. MUCH. YESSS. I'm just going to be honest. I came here to see if the glass jars the drinks come with here are the real deal. I didn't think it would make a big difference but MAN. Holding onto these sturdy glass jars that they give you feels AMAZING. Having amazing drinks in them is a bonus. As others have stated, you can opt for plastic cups for a slightly cheaper price, and if you bring back your cleaned glass jars for future visits, they discount your drinks then as well. Even at full price for your drink to come in a glass jar though, the prices are incredibly reasonable, especially compared to boba places in other major cities that are way more expensive. If you're reading this and consider yourself to be pretty cultured with boba places and Asian food and desserts, their black milk tea with boba delivers really well. You can learn a lot about the quality and taste of their drinks across the board by how well they make just a regular black milk tea and Lazi Cow gets it right. Take this from someone who has had some of the best boba places in just about every major city on the west side of the U.S. If you don't consider yourself as well cultured in the boba culture and Asian food (A.K.A. you order some strawberry-banana shake or cookies and cream crud and orange chicken from Panda Express), this place will also deliver good options for you LOL. I say that because this particular location does not appear to be in a very ethnically diverse community, with many customers coming from a very white demographic (based on my observations). This said, many ahead of me ordered very "American" flavors and they seemed to like what they got after they took a first sip.
