    2. Fresh Apples, Brown Sugar and Cinnamon gluten free Crepe; so much brown sugar!!
    Yvette 'Divie' E.

A solid place to get crêpes! Food: I ordered a savory (veggies) and a sweet (apples and brown sugars) crepes, both - gasp - gluten free! The filling options seemed numerous but somewhat limited for someone looking to avoid dairy and meat, but I customized an existing one with lots of veggies. Both were good and large portions (I brought half home); the sweet one was delicious!! My partner also got a sweet (strawberry, banana, Nutella) and a savory (ham and cheese), and he gave a stamp of approval (he's French). Tip: be sure to state that you need GF in advance; they do wheat crêpes by default. Also, sweet crêpes come with whipped cream, so be sure to flag if you don't want that. Service: We ordered at the counter, weren't rushed, and our food was brought to the table. They also staggered bringing out the savory and then the sweet, which was perfect for our timing. Ambiance: It's not a fancy or French cafe, but we did love the outdoor seating on a nice evening. Pro tip: My leftover made for awesome brunch leftovers! Just saying...

I stopped by Fenton Cafe more or less on a whim because it was the only place that was open around 9:30 am. The cafe has a neighborhood, local cafe vibe. I ordered a simple ham & cheese crepe that was decent. I thought the crepe had way too much cheese and was a bit too thick for my liking, but that's more of my preference. The two ladies working the counter were pretty nice. While I don' t think that I would go out of my way to eat here, it's a decent, moderately-priced place to grab a quick coffee or a bite to eat if you are in the area.

I have known about this place since I moved to the sea in 2015 but have not been here until my wife and I went here with my mother in law back in February. The service was friendly and fast and the food and drinks we got were amazing including a Berry Delight Crepe, a Fenton Brunch Special Crepe, and a latte. It was a nice reminder of our wonderful wedding reception where we had made to order crepes. The seating is pretty limited but luckily it was not busy when we were there. We look forward to returning, perhaps for lunch or brunch while my father is in this coming week.

    20. Strawberry, Lemon and Sugar Crepe

I stopped here for a quick bite and was overwhelmed with the huge crepe menu. I have had a crepe once before years ago so I wasn't sure what I wanted. They have sweet and savory options, so I went with the sweet. I ended up getting the strawberry, lemon and sugar crepe. The crepe was $9.24 including tax so the prices have increased over the years (understandable). It took about 5 minutes for them to make it and about 5 for me to eat it (it was so good). I was not at all disappointed about my choice. The strawberries were fresh with no preservatives, the lemon flavor was just right and it was the perfect amount of sweetness. It was over all satisfying. There were some people sitting outside as well as inside. It was quiet and small but the colors and decor was inviting and cozy. The staff greeted me with a smile and were overall very pleasant. I will definitely be back to try more on their menu.

This restaurant is cute, cafe style decoration. Not many choices of food but it is fine. It was first time for me here. I ordered Fenton brunch crepe. It costs about $12-13. It is a good portion for that price. I also ordered Spinach, cheese, egg crepe, costs about $10-11. I can say they were good one if you are a person who love healthy food. Not add much extra sauce or seasoning. Only real flavor from ingredients. That was I can tasted. But if you aren't that kind of person like me, their dishes might be quite plain for you. But I never try sweet crepe yet. It might be more flavorful as same as a cup of Mocha that I tried. The service was ok.

Stoped here before leaving DC. Nice place with French pictures on the walls. I took crepes with ham, eggs. Delicious and not sweet, as it supposed to be.

    16. Nutella and Strawberry Crepe Yum yum yum

We went and it was such good crepes. Pls come pls go pls trigh this! There's a nice vibe with lots of beautiful stunning Paris photos, it's like I was back again. A modest cafe on the edge of Silver Spring. While they're primarily about crepes, the local Ethiopian influence shows, and they do offer sambusas among their baked goods. The crepe menu is fairly conventional and includes a variety of savory and sweet options, as well as GF buckwheat crepes. I went for the one with the most fruit, and indeed it delivered about as much berries as I'd care to eat, buried in a substantial crepe with too much whipped cream and just the right amount of Nutella. Worth it, for sure. My main gripe is that for a place you'd want to go for dessert they're not open that late.

    Fenton brunch special- savory crepe

Came here for the first time. Ordered their Fenton special, which is a brunch crepe with eggs, turkey, cheese, and avocado. Hubby ordered the savory crepe with ham, cheese, and egg. Total was around $20. What's hot - Menu selection of both sweet and savory crepes. There are sandwich like crepes, but also breakfast/brunch like crepes. There are plain sweet crepes and sweet crepes with fillings. Something for everyone. - Price. Pretty decent. Each of our crepes is around $10. Some crepes with less filling, like the sweet crepes with Nutella and an additional filling are less than $10 each. - Portions. Not too big and not too small. It's enough not to be filling. Enough to leave you wanting more, though. Haha... - Service. The ladies are nice and there's table service. They also know exactly which crepe is what. May sound silly, but when the crepe is wrapped up, it doesn't look easy being able to distinguish them apart. That they know which one is which helps when they serve your table. What's not - Missing that kick. My brunch crepe was good, but it lacked a kick. Perhaps more avocado? The flavor wasn't distinct. It was good, but didn't leave me wanting more. Additionally, the crepe itself was a little too thick. Different strokes for different folks. Additionally, hubby's crepe had canned mushrooms, which he didn't expect cuz it wasn't on the menu. Canned mushrooms don't have much flavor, either, which didn't help. - Layout. This place isn't meant for groups. Any group more than 4 people is going to be difficult. Our friends had their son with them and it wasn't easy finding another seat for him. There's a small kids table, which is nice. However, it was difficult finding another seat for him. Final answer Not bad, but it may not be my first choice.

They sell a few select beers and wines so it was fun to peruse them as we waited on line to order. Their menu is on boards behind the counter and they also have paper menus, which is helpful to those of us who need glasses! The staff was super friendly and helpful since I hadn't been there before. A+ to them for offering their coffee/espresso drinks in decaf! I had a vanilla latte and it had a deep, rich flavor. One of the best I've had in the area. For food, my friend had the bagel and lox and it was huge! She had to take half home. I had the garlic Boursin eggs. It was a nice pile of delicately cooked eggs, but I wished there was more garlic Boursin flavor. Still really good. It came with salad greens in a light vinaigrette, sauteed mushrooms, and avocado. Very nice dish. They have a serve-yourself water station and, though they bring out your order to your table, you must go get your cutlery and napkins. They have a nice number of tables for a small place and we were lucky to snag one. Overall, a really nice experience and I plan to go back with my husband next time.

The avocado toast topped with a perfectly poached egg topped with Japanese black sesame seeds is my go-to order, and the sandwiches are consistently good. Their cocktails are excellent, and the bar side makes a great venue for private parties or larger gatherings. I am apparently in the miniscule minority, but I find the drip coffee a bit too dark and somehow slightly burnt for my taste. Fortunately, they make an outstanding Dirty London Fog and a wonderful London Fog Chai Latte, either of which I'd happily order instead. All manner of alternative "milks" are available as are a pretty decent selection of local beers in their cooler if you are grabbing take out. Be prepared for a wait on weekends--this is one of Takoma Park's most popular brunch destinations. Like many cafés these days, it's a favorite of laptop-wielding remote workers, so tables can be at a premium. In my experience, though, solo diners are often gracious about moving to the communal table when they notice [or more likely are asked polietly if they wouldn't mind moving] a larger group waiting. It's just one more example of the friendly neighborhood atmosphere that keeps people coming back.

The first bite was a bit of a shock to the system. It's one of those rare "Ratatouille moments" where a flavor profile manages to bridge the gap between Maryland and the legendary sponge cakes of Phoenix Bakery in LA. It's a bit of a trick, really--making something taste like a childhood memory without being cloying about it. The Breakdown: * The Sponge: It's exceptionally light. Biting into it is less like eating a dense dessert and more like biting into a sweetened, high-end pillow. It's airy, delicate, and possesses the kind of structural integrity that only a professional (or a wizard) could manage. * The Icing: A triumph of restraint. Instead of the usual sugary plaster one finds elsewhere, this is a light, white cream. It's sweet enough to let you know it's there, but it doesn't try to dominate the conversation. It's icing with a bit of dignity. * The Verdict: This is how cake ought to be. It's exquisite, technically brilliant, and far too easy to eat in a single sitting. If you appreciate a dessert that relies on craft rather than a massive dose of corn syrup, do yourself a favor and stop by. It's a legit bit of baking excellence right here in Silver Spring

The interior is cute and on display were a variety of Asian-style baked goods and some minimal seating. The couple who runs the store seemed busy but rang me up relatively quickly. I got the ube twist and melon pan. The ube twist was really delicious -- I'd highly recommend it. The melon pan was disappointing; I expect a crunchy cookie crust on melon pan and this one was sticky and soft. The bread itself was super plush and soft and amazing, so it would be great if they could improve upon it with a crunchier cookie crust. The bread items were $3-4 each, so not the cheapest, but I was happy to support a local Asian bakery.
