Blown away that this place has such good reviews - either I went on an insanely bad night or Fenton…read moredoesn't have many good options to choose from so the bar is low! I was told this was Fenton's best dining. Spinach and artichoke dip had no salt and the dip was grainy - almost gritty. It tasted better with salt. My ribeye was greatly overcooked, and for a $45+ steak, you want it cooked correctly. I sent it back and the second ribeye was somehow more burnt and also included a lot more fat. It was so bad it seemed almost intentional the second time. Mac and cheese tasted packaged/pre-made with grocery store bacon bits on top. The garlic potatoes were good. We waited for our check for 20 minutes after eating. Staff members were leaned against the bar and talking, scrolling cell phones, playing with their hair - while looking over at us repeatedly. I finally stood up to go to the front and three waitresses all came over at once and took my card. The manager came over to bring the card and apologized for the delay. Wouldn't come back - if this is Fenton's best, go to another town over for dinner!

The ambiance is warm and welcoming, a nice little restaurant to get together or the perfect date night spot.

I checked out The Corner Bar & Grill last night after seeing some good online reviews, and overall…read moreit was a solid experience with a cozy neighborhood feel. The space is smaller but very welcoming and definitely feels like a local hangout spot. When you walk in, the specials board is front and center, including their Burger of the Month, which is what I ordered. Mine featured goat cheese, spinach, strawberry compote, and jalapeños. The flavor combination was unique and really worked well together, and the burger itself was juicy. Personally, I would have loved a bit more char for those crispy edges, but the flavors were definitely there. It came with rosemary fries that were thin, crispy, and generously seasoned. I added a side of hot honey for dipping, which ended up being an unexpectedly amazing combo. The restaurant has a great beer selection, plenty of TVs for sports, fun retro-style décor, and soft lighting that creates a relaxed atmosphere. Even at 9 PM, there were families with kids dining, so it feels very family-friendly rather than a late-night bar scene. Noise levels were low enough that conversation was easy, which I really appreciated. Bathrooms were also exceptionally clean. My main hesitation was pricing. A quesadilla was around $15 and my burger was $20, which pushed dinner for one person with a drink and tip to about $35. While that seems comparable to nearby spots like Boston's, it felt a bit high for casual bar-style dining. Parking is limited, but the location is convenient, just minutes from I-75 and surrounded by other restaurants. Service was amazing. We were sad immediately and she checked back often and said what her favorite thing on the menu was. Overall, good food, creative menu options, and a comfortable atmosphere. With a little refinement and maybe slightly better value, this could easily become a regular stop.

I HAVE RETURNED!! Everyone: Who TF is this?…read more I'm just going to pretend I didn't hear that. Today we're covering Beale's in Fenton. We won't be covering why the Beale sign is next to US23, but Beale itself is five minutes east of that on Fenton Road. Maybe they moved. Maybe it's the aliens. The world may never know. Dad and I ordered a plate of wings to share. I got a brisket sandwich with fries, while the ancestor ordered a two meat combo with a BBQ'd half chicken and ribs. We both loved the wings. Juicy meat, crispy skin. And not too messy because they didn't overdo it with the sauce. Dad said the ribs were excellent but didn't eat the half chicken as he saved it for mom. My brisket sandwich unfortunately came out colder than Pluto. I sent it back and it was much better the second time around. The steak fries were some of the best I've had from a restaurant. I also poured out some of their sauces to try on my fries. The Bourbon sweet sauce is okay, but the house sauce has a great balance of heat and tangy flavor. The hot sauce is good if you want the heat turned up a notch. The good/mustard sauce is perfect for fries. Conclusion: Miles better than Scratch BBQ in Flint.

Unfortunately the sides aren't anything special with the exception of the cornbread which is excellent (insert chef's kiss here). The service is friendly and helpful. More of a "boutique" taco spot, the restaurant's design is a colorful, modern space that's both fun and inviting. They have a well-tailored one-page menu of amazing options with unique flavors and different combinations of ingredients. You'll find all your classics-- Tacos, burritos, nachos, tortas, quesadillas, salads, bowls, salsas, guacamole, etc. There is an extensive list of tequilas, and I think they may even offer a flight, if you want to try a few. The variety of margaritas, cocktails, beer, and wine is also a list you're going to eventually want to make you're way through! Definitely start your meal with the Salsa Trio (after you've ordered your margs), because you do not want to miss out on their house-fried salty tortilla chips! They will literally change your mind about where you eat your Mexican food....! After having tried most of their tacos, my go-to is the BBQ Pork, and I always pair it with the Spicy Margarita. It's one of my favorite meals, and one of the reasons why is that I never feel gross, heavy, or tired when I leave! (Some Mexican restaurants just make you feel "bleh" afterwards (all that cheese!)) We've always loved our servers and bartenders here, as they are kind, honest, and attentive. They notice when you need a refill or a napkin, even on a busy Friday night! Clean restrooms, great energy, cool vibes! Come stop in if you're ever in or around Fenton, MI! You'll have some fun! And you get tacos, too!!! :D

Staff was very friendly and we were greeted immediately and told to seat ourselves wherever we wanted. The server came over with waters and menus right away. We started off with the house margarita and it was delicious. We ordered the trio and I say you definitely should order that. The nachos were next level!!! I like a lot of stuff on my nachos and these were some of the best I have had. The street taco with chicken was also tasty. Everything tasted super fresh. I did not leave feeling weighed down like in many restaurants. I left feeling satisfied. I would love to try some other things on the menu. Great experience.
