This is a hidden spot in Delaware and its so beautiful. You won't find many people here but you will find your perfect quiet place whether kayaking, biking, crabbing, hiking, or swimming ( public boat ramp). The observation tower is the best view of the Assawoman Bay and wildlife . You will see lots of bald eagles, river otters, giant woodpeckers , blue heron, egrets. SMH why all those cars are sitting in traffic to go to the beach when you can go to the bay ? It's completely free ...lots of fishing and crabbing , sailing , paddle boarding and don't forget to bring the dogs because they are allowed here!

This year, my youngest caught 10 fish. My older son caught a 3 and I caught 2. While none were keepers, it was still exciting for all of us to catch something. We have been on other services on the ocean, and prefer the bay fishing. Last year, our ocean sea adventure included everyone on the boat hanging off the edge barfing. After that debacle, we decided to stick with Happy Hooker as our only fishing outing. In all of the years going out with Happy Hooker, we have only experienced a tranquil ride to various fishing spots. In years past, our entire family has participated. It is a family friendly outing, that is exciting for young children and relaxing for parents.

There is street parking or a lot parking available. I do recall one year due to the Marlin tournament. Parking was difficult and we did park a few blocks away. Overall the walk was not bad and it was well worth it. I recommend bringing chairs or a blanket. If you plan to stay a while. On Sundays, they have a live band, ice cream for purchase, a playground, pond, and lots of open grass for family and friends to enjoy. Everyone's favorite part is the Sunday fireworks show. The show is great! We will continue to add this park to our Sunday fun day while in Ocean City.

Well...Captain Kane changed how I fish. His way around the ocean and his knack for getting you to the right places to optimize your chances to make your catch is above exceptional. Now I love to fish for Tog (aka Blackfish or Tautog) and CK knows where the fish are. He goes that extra mile...literally, to help you make your catch and put dinner on the table. The fish are BIGGER too. I have now been on a dozen or so trips with the Captain and have nothing but praise for his efforts to make the trip as productive and enjoyable as possible. When Tog was out of season, I have ventured to try for other types of fish like Black Seabass and Flounder and have been rewarded with a cooler full of fish. My next trip will be to fish for Golden Tile in some deep deep water.
