Beautiful beach wedding venue! In October too! The wedding was right on the beach, and the reception was in a giant white tent closer to the station itself (still on the beach and next to this http://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/IIJjeJWQOXfZ2z_bCDjYSg?select=DcVbCkaImlYa1pOheXN8tA). Plenty of shells on the beach too if you felt inclined to grab one. The staff was very friendly and helpful (aka still selling memorabilia items after hours, relighting stubborn tiki torches, and directing us to the bathroom). Plenty of pretty coastal themed books and knick knacks too. We picked up a beautiful painted oar as a souvenier for about $15 and our other friend got an old fashioned spyglass. One note about this venue: Maybe it's because I'm Californian, but the concept of driving (non-emergency) vehicles on the beach is foreign and seems really dangerous. There was a fisherman with a big black truck, lawn chairs (read: dbag) who was camped out right behind the Chuppah (Jewish wedding canopy) on the beach. I wish the staff had asked him to move or something (or roped it off) so he wouldn't have been in the wedding pictures. Also, the location is actually a few miles south of Dewey Beach.

The beach is large enough for a simple ceremony or a blow-out, and the reception could be right at the same location, under tents or under the stars.

It is a cast-iron structure that was built in 1926 and is designed to handle even the most intense Atlantic weather. It is 76 feet tall and has a black base, a white conical tower and a black lantern level at the top. The light on the tower has been replaced a few times but it currently operated by solar power and includes a fog signal that is also powered by solar. I saw the lighthouse today from the Lewes-Cape May Ferry https://www.yelp.com/biz/cape-may-lewes-ferry-north-cape-may-4?hrid=eqhIEWJmJAJ_9Ndxpt223w but it can also be seen from the tip of Cape Henlopen State Park https://www.yelp.com/biz/cape-henlopen-state-park-lewes. The lighthouse is operated by the Delaware River and Bay Lighthouse Foundation. While the lighthouse is not accessible from land, there are boat tours that bring you to the lighthouse, if that's something that appeals to you. The location is convenient right at the Cape May Welcome Center, and the ferry provides a shuttle to this location which makes it perfect for day trippers. My daughter and I pedaled a 2-seater, but there are quads too. To start, we were given some easy instructions on how to operate the rail-bike which glides on a track no longer in use. Once we pedaled to the end of the line, we learned about the history of the line and the canal there, particularly its importance during World War II. When we pedaled back, we stopped at The Nature Conservancy's Garrett Family Preserve and learned about its history along with all the wildlife in Cape May. At both stops, we learned so many fascinating facts from our knowledgeable guides! Plus, I was told the guides don't always say the same thing, so it's different if you decide to go multiple times. They even take a photo of you on your rail-bike. In total, it was about 90 minutes and an easy ride depending on how fast you pedal. It was such a fun experience that we know we want to do it again.

And I've done those and they are worth the money. This was a well run activity, professional. I knew it was an hour and a half "trip" but it is actually just 20 minutes riding the bike rails in One Direction and then you turn around and do the same thing back for 20 minutes. There's a few stops where teenagers give a very memorized explanation about one of the parks you stop at (which you can drive to and walk around for free). If $100 is a drop in the bucket for you then you should do this.
