He had the new freezer, a Frigidaire, delivered the very next day so that we wouldn't suffer a food loss. Several days later I wanted ice cubes and found that the freezer had heated up to 66 degrees! All of the food had spoiled. A process then started in order to ascertain the problem and replace the freezer. Mark and Johnson Brothers were again great. A technician arrived the next day and said the freezer couldn't be fixed. Frigidaire in comparison, gave me a day they would sent a technician, who never came, evidently the repair company had closed...wait for it...8 months previously. They wouldn't replace the freezer until a technician they sent said it couldn't be repaired. Frigidaire wanted to fix the freezer rather than replace it. Another day. When the technician came he said the freezer couldn't be fixed. Mark was even able cover the food loss. The entire time Mark was very supportive. I feel the value of a company is truly felt when there is a problem and am very grateful for the service I received.

Three weeks later we noticed the floors buckled in the kitchen. They didn't even bother to get the hose fitting tight! I called and they sent out some company that put a fan with some painters tape around the area and left! Short story: They refused to report the issue to their insurance. Blew me off for DAYS! I'd call back into the office and ask for a manager and never was able to speak with one. Poor sap management makes deal with these situations said, "I've talked with 'them' and they aren't going to report it to our insurance.'" Talk to enough people and they have gone through the same ordeal with Johnson Brothers. That's why they wouldn't report it to their insurance. We had no choice but to file a claim with our insurance and the same day had Sierra James out here. Kitchen and laundry room DESTROYED! We had to move out of our house for 8 months. Took two weeks to find a furnished house for rent. Complete nightmare putting our house back together. Try dealing with insurance these days.....even when it's not your fault. That alone took years off my life. Took a couple months to get them to refund the dishwasher and had to FIGHT to get the install charge refunded. "The installation is not refundable." Seriously, you can't make this stuff up. Not a single apology throughout. Not until I asked for an apology did I get the 'I already did, you just aren't listening'. Worst company and people I've ever dealt with......and that's saying a lot these days. One year later, we are finally done with all this crap. Our insurance subjugated the claim against JBs insurance and won. Our deductible is finally coming back to us. Do yourself a favor and go to Lowe's. The founder died. His son took over and died. Now, the grandkids took over and have nothing but a fancy website with empty slogans and values and promises of commitment and integrity. It's total bullshit.

They are factory authorized by most, maybe all, major appliance companies so warranty work is covered. For out of warranty work their prices are fair and reasonable. The administrative management team is great for scheduling and follow up. The technicians arrive when they are supposed to and always get the job done. If you're having premium brand name appliances serviced and Technician Ken West shows up you will be particularly fortunate. Ken has been at our homes in Bend several times over the last fifteen years, including today when he once again was able to diagnose and resolve the problem all in one visit. Ken has many years of experience (he also once worked for Johnson Brother's Appliance), he knows his stuff in technical skills and he is simply the nicest guy as well.

Neither had been working correctly for many months - the icemaker stopped working over a year ago! They properly diagnosed all issues on the first visit, ordered the right parts, and fixed everything on the second visit. In the 5 years I've owned my house, the refrigerator/freezer has never worked better! Much quieter, and colder! Garret and his partner were friendly, professional, and wore facemasks the entire time. I had difficulty reaching the company by phone, but they are super responsive to emails. I would definitely work with them in the future.

Al…read morelistened to me while I gave him a detailed "Gone With the Wind" description regarding my ten year old Frigidaire with a freezer compartment maintaining the 40-degree temperature while the fridge compartment was sustaining roughly room temperature. When I finished the story, Al suggested a couple people that are fridge experts, and he then said that he is actually a Washer-Dryer specialist. I thanked Al for the suggestions, and told him I was so appreciative, that if I have a problem with my washer and/or dryer, he would be the first call I would make. All that based on his super high ratings. Well, here it is, about five years later (I got a new fridge to replace the other one in 2022... nothing was delivering during the peak COVID years), and my washer kept giving me F- 11 faults. I leaped for the phone and called Al. and got scheduled and he did a great job - especially with my old washer which is very limited in parts still being available. The washer (a Kenmore a.k.a. Whirlpool) started humming again rather than driving me nuts going into a "fault" mode for the five years mentioned earlier. Not longer than that, my dryer motor gave up the ghost, and this time, Al found a good-condition used motor, and viola, it ran again. When I knew the system was back running again, I told Al that if one of them kicks the bucket, I'll give him them so he can refurbish them and I'll get myself a new one. I dread the day that happens because I'm not a fan of artificial intelligence. Watch a re-run of "2001, Space Odyssey" and check out Hal 9000 again for a refresher of what is coming up in the world. I am not sure about all the digital gobble de-goop coming up. I only can think how difficult it will be when Mr. Al Harris is not around to reboot Hal 9000's broken A.I.-infested equipment while he still can make the antique ones quietly humming along. Al is a legend indeed. A rare man and worthy of all these five star reviews.

We have businesses where we second hand as much as possible with regular turnover (we do not sell the products, we use them). In the past we spent so much at this store that one time the person ringing us up commented about it. They saw something in the system (connected to our phone number) about our total spent YTD and their eyes got wide, so we explained what we do for our business and that what they could see was just for their location. What I am saying is... we have a pulse on what is a good and fair price for these sort of things. I looked at a couch not to long ago at this location. It was half off. The price was still, with the discount, over $1600. When you pay 0% for your inventory you should not be charging consignment prices. Full stop. It is a poor business choice. The idea is to turn over the inventory because more is coming while passing on a lovely savings to your customers. Not hang on to it while it collects dust because you've out priced the new items being manufactured. Know your customer base and price accordingly. We have left empty handed from this store every single visit this year (2026) because the prices have skyrocketed. For reference, we were looking for a washer and dryer...found one brand new at Lowe's cheaper than this Restore had (used no less). That is why I am writing this review. If the free inventory you receive is higher priced than the brand new inventory from the original store...well...here's your sign. So, we will likely have to drop this store from our rotation because time is precious and we cannot waste trips when we could find a better resource to take its place. That's just how it goes, I guess, but it saddens us because we like to support good causes and keep things out of the dump.
