The bill was sent via text to me which allowed me to stay home and tend to other matters instead of driving 60 miles to Winchester. I own a duplex which means I have double the number of appliances. I know who to call next time one needs repairing. And I'll bet anything, I'll have to call just one time.

I reached out to B&B Appliance. They reached back out to me within 5 minutes and asked when I would like them to come. They were upfront about the cost for coming and when I said tomorrow, I was shocked to get a reply saying no problem. They said between 8:30-9 am and they arrived within that window. It took them no time to find the problem. They had to order the part and said it should be in by Thursday, and they would call that morning (today) with an ETA. True to their word a call came in early, and we were told between 11-1. Once again, they came in the time quoted. They talked with my husband for a while and discussed the type of issue we were having, saying it was not the first time they had to replace that same part in a Maytag. My husband was very satisfied with them. Rest assured if we have any future appliance problems, they will be the people we call. If you want a reliable company, who says what they are doing and takes the time to explain what happened, then call them! My husband and I are both very satisfied with the service we received. I called Estes, Sam (owner) answered, listened, gave what he thought the problem might be but assured me that whatever the problem was he could repair it. He gave me a window of arrival time that afternoon saying that he would call me when he was on his way. He called, arrived, took a few minutes to check the refrigerator and gave me his diagnosis. It was a relatively simple problem which he repaired in about an hour. While he was working he explained why that problem happened and recommended that if it happens again within a few years we should consider replacing our refrigerator with another brand. He explained why he suggested not replacing our refrigerator with the same brand due to it's inherent design deficiencies. Sam was extremely efficient and when he gave me the bill I was very pleased with the fairness. I can't say enough positive things about Sam and Estes.

I was connected with Top Notch Appliance service as they were the local contractor scheduled on…read morebehalf of Bodewell - the warranty service provider for my dishwasher. My dishwasher was only about 9 days old (purchased late Febrruary) when one of the springs on the door broke and the door no longer sealed which resulted in the dishwasher leaking. The Top Notch team came out on March 18th to assess the issue and determine the root cause which they said was the broken spring/door hinge. This was replaced under standard warranty and the technician left but told me if it was still leaking that they would need to look at the door. I ran a full cycle that evening and it leaked again so I called their number back and left a voicemail. A week went by and I had no follow up regarding someone coming back so I called again. I was told they "missed" the voicemail but would get right back to me. Another 2 weeks passed and they had someone come out to replace the whole front door panel. During that replacement, the technician damaged the brand new door and left dents in it. He told me that if the issue did not get resolved that I needed to let them know and they would put in for a new dishwasher replacement with the manufacturer, but if the issue was resolved that they would still need to replace the door as they left me with a dented door panel. While the major leak was resolved, it was still not sealing correctly on one side of the dishwasher as I was still getting water pooling at the top and dripping out on my dishwasher and the seal on the side was letting all sorts of particles surround the side whereas the other side of the dishwasher was spotless. I contacted their team back and received a voicemail again so I left a voicemail letting them know the status and requesting the replacement. I then called weekly for the next 6 weeks trying to get an update, leaving voicemails each time as no live human ever picked up. I started getting suspicious so I called them from a different phone number and a live person answered which proved my suspicion that they were just ignoring me. During that phone call they told me they had passed everything to the manufacturer and sent the manufacturer an email, so I requested they forward the email to me and provide me with the case number for the manufacturer. I never received the email they told me they would send and when I called the manufacturer with the case number they told me that they never received a replacement device request and the ticket was closed. I had to open a brand new ticket with the manufacturer and they had to send a different technician out to both look at the door with Top Notch Appliance left damaged as well as assess what the issue was with the dishwasher as they are unable to re-open old tickets. The manufacturer scheduled a different company to come take a look which happened today (July 7th) and they informed me that cosmetic issues such as the door are not covered by the manufacturer and that it needed to be handled with Top Notch - but they would work on the other issue. The overall communication from this company was terrible. They ghosted and ignored my voicemails, then lied to me on the phone. They never finished the service that they were contracted to do, and left me with a dishwasher that was still not working correctly, and had damage that they themselves caused. They did not even report all of their work back to the manufacturer. Their overall sheer incompetence has left me without a correctly functioning dishwasher and a damaged one for months. I would not recommend anyone do business with this company.

Upon coming into my home I tried to strike conversation with both him and I'm assuming his wife. Neither one of them responded to anything I tried to say. The only words that I got out of Lee's mouth was you have a lot of food, to which my reply was yea we have 4 kids (they were not in the home at the time luckily due to his previous history). He didn't tell me what was wrong with my fridge while working on it and didn't tell me prior how much things would cost. I ended up texting my father to come over while they were there just because they gave me creepy vibes and I truly felt scared. I did notice that he treats the woman that was with him terribly. She accidently grabbed the wrong tool from his tool bag and he yelled at her. While Lee was fixing my fridge the fan or something made a loud screeching sound. He smacked the inside of my freezer to get it to stop. When he finished up they went outside and the woman came back in with a bill for $169.96 and then finally told me that the fan needed to be replaced. I paid by check and they were on their way. In the meantime I had called my bank to place a stop pay on a different check that I originally had prepared but lost. Apparently I gave the bank the wrong number and placed the stop pay on the check he had in hand. Lee called me that following Wednesday the 29th at 11:57 am and left a message. I work night shift and had worked the night before so I was sleeping and missed his call. Since he closes at 3 I didn't get a chance to call him back til the next day, Thursday the 30th at 11:21am. Upon calling him back I started to leave a message to let him know what had happened and then Lee ended up finally hoping on the phone to inform me that it was too late that he already put a warrant out on me. I stated he didn't give me 24 hrs to even call him back and that It was an accident, needless to say after both of us raising our voices at each other I brought cash in that same day that included the extra $64 court fee and then some (still haven't figured out why). I video recorded the whole time I walked in to pay and he stated he would agree to take the warrant off that day. However it's now Friday and I followed up with the court and he has yet to remove it. He didn't give me 24 hours to call him and resolve the situation so why should I? To top it off the warrant in debt that was placed upon my door today (Friday, October 1st) shows the wrong amount of the bill, the wrong date he service the fridge and my named is not spelled correctly. So here we are sitting patiently waiting for him to resolve this otherwise I guess the court system will resolve it later in the month. Oh btw my fridge still makes that loud screeching noise and I told him I do not want him back at my house ever. Look elsewhere or buy a new appliance from another place before dealing with this guy. I mean unless creepy and rude is what you expect from someone coming into your home.

During the first few months I would call for a status update where each employee I spoke with would continue to tell me lies that it would be be done this week, or they are waiting on a part, or a special tool, etc. All I needed was my seat replaced under warranty (which they tried charging me for at first), new blades, oil change, and a tire. Here we are 6 MONTHS LATER, I was charged $750 for seat install, blades, oil change, and then a fuel filter and spark plug, neither of which oil requested. My tractor still is not finished and the mechanic now has more excuses and lies. Again, this is 6 months later and I am still being lied to. They also change the date on the ticket of when I dropped it off for service so beware. I will never use this business again and it is sad to see from a fellow business owner and native of Winchester. I recommend staying far away from this business.
