Four stars for salesperson Jerry. He's professional, gracious and knows his stuff. I'm not a fan of the store based on previous experiences, but went in due to convenience. I only needed a replacement faucet, but with Jerry's expertise and and customer service, I'm now planning to work on some bathroom upgrades. I appreciated Jerry's honesty and insight. Unfortunately, however, this store continues to know nothing about customer service. The man at the front desk couldn't even look at me and attempt a smile or any type of greeting. Really??? I waited two days for an appointment with Jennifer Bruno, who was under the impression I was just ordering one item. While I did add on two things to inquire about I was very clear in the appt notes that I was coming in for a full bathroom. She told me she was new and was going to have to ask her boss Joe Sadowski (I've worked with in the past wonderful) unfortunately he wasn't in so I wouldn't have any of my order processed at my appointment, I was very clear on telling her what I wanted then she would ask me a question totally out of left field then when I realized this wasn't going anywhere I got up to leave, she said I was braiding her please don't waste your time making an appointment with this person, until she educates herself on the products she sells. I have been using Blackman/Ferguson for my grandfathers/fathers plumbing company and my husbands development company for over 30 years. I have moved it over to Tiana at Greenart and am very satisfied. read more

Salespeople are careless, rush you to place an order and then disappear. Terrible communication and most work from home now so good luck with a decent phone conversation about your products/orders. Errors are made in orders, salespeople tell you what you want to hear and you'll be waiting FOREVER for your order which should be noted to the customer UP FRONT. I called up blackman plumbing supply to buy a light fixture. I was told by their operative that I would have to go to their showroom in huntington station if i wanted to buy a fixture today. Which was what i was asking for. Upon arrival Crystal their representative tells me that they have no light fixtures in stock and she didn't know why i was sent to their location. On top of that blackman didn't even have a brochure i could pick something out of. There was nothing even in the showroom i could see either. A total incompetent operation. Stopped by the shop yesterday 9/29/2020 went to the door and there's a sign that says appointments only due to COVID-19. Ok I get it. My niece was looking for 3 faucets for the home she's building. We explained to the women at the door. We asked if there were any time slots available, she said no not till Saturday and we aren't allowing children in at this time. Well you lost a sale from me. I ordered a towel warmer and timer from Blackman end of May. The delivery estimate was 4-6 weeks. I figured this would be fine as I ordered the item well in advance. It's now July 16th and I still have not received the item. I initially spoke to Edwina but ended up buying the product from Jerry (as Edwina was away). Jerry has been completely useless. Never responded to my email (after over a month of waiting). Every time I tried to call him, it would just go to voicemail. When I finally spoke to him, he said the item was "backordered". Would have been nice to have been informed of that weeks ago. I managed to cancel the order and got the product from Lowes (who have it in stock) for a cheaper price. So happy never to have to deal with Blackman again. And thank God I bought all my other fixtures (doing a whole house reno) from Huntington Plumbing Supply. read more

The worse place ever. Stay away from this company. They screwed up my order multiple times. Promised 10-12 weeks delivery for a special order sink and its been 17 weeks and I still do not have the sink. I am suppose to get delivery today. I took off from work. I am waiting since the morning and no one is giving me an update on delivery time!! I spent over $10,000 at this place and this is the kind of service I get. And this is not the only order that was delayed. I had another order that was delayed by 2 months and after I went to the show room to cancel it..they found the order and said they have the parts. I had been dealing with Jerry on ordering supplies for my bathroom reno. The first time I came in the showroom I had a completely different vision and Jerry was patient in showing me the various products on the showroom floor. The second time I went in, I had completely changed my vision for my bathroom and all of the products I had initially selected I no long wanted. Though it was a busy Saturday and I had to wait an hour, Jerry was mindful that I was there the entire time and made sure to give me updates of how much longer he would be. Once he became available, he was 100% patient with helping me make my final decisions about some items and I'm so happy with my final selection. All in all, it has been a great experience and Jerry is very good at what he does. read more

Initially, I had a pleasant experience with Valerie and Jerry. However, there was miscommunication regarding delivery of shower door sending my spouse all over to retrieve it. When shower doors arrived it was noted it would not work with cast iron tub. The initial sales people have a significant lack of knowledge regarding the products they sell. Customer service was completely incompetent. Spoke with Palma in one of their many departments who lacked significant customer service and seemed very confused and agitated. When arriving at the showroom in Huntington to return item the next salesperson was completely incompetent of recommending a shower door for my porcelain tub. She actually told me they didn't have any and brushed me off to go look elsewhere. I told her I would never recommend this business and their customer service was unacceptable. 2 employees from the site agreed their service has declined and even their jobs are miserable since Blackman switched to Ferguson. I wish I would have read the 1 review this company had before I ordered my bathroom shower doors. The customer service is horrible. I spent almost $900 for the door and that included the "discount" that was supposedly given to me. I was told I should receive my doors in about 3 weeks. And that installation would be an extra $400. A week and a half later the company to install the doors called me and said they needed to come out and measure. They did and I called Blackman to find out when I would get more doors? They said they had to call me back, this was Wednesday. I called THEM back on the following Monday. Was given some non sense talk about the price going up for this and that and they told me they'd call me back again. Am I getting horrible customer service because I didn't spend a fortune?!!! Because I think no matter what customer service is important! And to not keep me informed that I NOW have to pay MORE?! Bottom line, DO NOT SHOP HERE! They don't treat customers w/good service once you spend your hard earned money! And don't follow up on your products and increase prices after all is said and done! My initial experience with Blackman was good. My Salesperson Julian was helpful in making decisions for supplies I needed for my bathroom. It was down hill after that. Part of the reason is it's just been taken over by Ferguson so it's transitioning. I couldn't get through to anyone, certain parts never came in and they couldn't tell me when. Then they told me everything was there and when my contractor got there one part was missing. He had to go back again and they make you wait a good amount a time before they retrieve your items. It's also impossible to get through to talk to the right person. For now don't go there! read more

Went in on a Friday afternoon without an appointment and thinking we would be waiting a long time, but we're seen within 10 minutes or so. (I would still recommend to make appointment though) We met with Jiliann and would recommend her to anyone. She was extremely knowledgeable about all the products which we were questioning her on. She was not pushy but had great recommendations when we were struggling to decide. She also helped guide us along our price point. She was extremely easy to work with and also, be in contact with. We emailed her with a few changes, due to availability and incorrect measurements, along with additions. We had a response within 15-20 minutes. Please see her for any of your remodeling needs. My wife and I spent close to $20, 000.00 in plumbing and lighting supplies from Blackman, their customer service is the absolute worst. The delivery was expected to be 4-6 weeks, 5 months later we're still waiting for our delivery to be completed. We made countless phone calls and left voicemails and our calls are yet to be returned. Our sales rep, Rosalba, is never available when we call and does not return our calls, we spoke to the manager about this and she said it is not their policy to return customers' phone calls. I wouldn't recommend this company to my worst enemy. read more

The customer service experience here is putrid. We recently renovated our bathroom and used Blackman for all of the Kohler product orders. Knowing there are always delays from the brand, still doesn't excuse the lack of communication, follow-up and customer care from this place. When multiple items were unexpectedly delayed, no one bothered to call us. So when the contractor went to pick up the vanity and sink, that's when they decided to inform us. It's now 3 weeks later and I am still waiting...and having to call myself since these folks 1) act like they could care less and 2) never bother to call with updates. With an appointment to select high end plumbing products for two baths and one kitchen, I knew I was going to be spending a lot. And with the complications of showers (mixers, handhelds, volume controls) there's quite a few things to remember. What I didn't expect was that the saleswoman would decide to put in towel rods, toilet paper holders, etc., without my looking at them. My contractor rushed me (as it turns out, very unnecessarily) so I looked too quickly at the purchase contract and signed. Within 24 hours I picked up my mistake and asked that those parts be stopped. Oops, "they've already shipped". Really? And this was from the store manager, Mr. Cuff. Then, a month later, almost nothing was delivered. Why? Because it hadn't shipped yet! Padding my purchase contract (that has almost impossible to read specs on what you're buying) and then not removing them. Magically, their "valuable" saleswoman no longer works there. No help for my situation, though. Even corporate headquarters didn't care to help. It's been a horror show. I would have gladly shopped on the internet for everything instead, and got a better price doing so, with far better customer service. It's been almost a year now, and the parts I did want and bought are almost all working. The extras? I guess I'll have to sell them myself online. Never again for me. Stay away. With the market basically cornered on plumbing fixtures you going to have to deal with their deplorable customer service. Specifically, in the Huntington store avoid working with Holly F. on the sales team. Fast talking, bait and switch and the gross failure to follow up with customers are the hallmark of her customer service. Blackman Plumbing in Huntington Station NY is HORRIBLE !!! The salesman are NASTY, Stuck up, Treat you like garbage. I have Never been treated so badly ever in my life. I went in to purchase an entire bathroom. I was looked down on when I questioned the cost of some of the items. The salesman Jerry even rolled his eyes at one point. When I had mentioned I was purchasing other items at Home Depot I was told we don't say that name around here. REALLY ???? I rarely encounter customer service this poor anymore. It's like a relic from another time. The back-ordered sink came three weeks late, and cracked! I ask the sales guy to take all precautions with the replacement and he says, verbatim, "I wish I could, I am in a branch, these items ship from our Dist center...I can't even make a request because there are so many people in the DC....Let's pray for the best." Huh? On what planet would I tell a client, let's pray for the best? I can't imagine a lower level of accountability. We have so many people we can't possibly do the right thing. This was just one line item. The coup de grace was when I gave up and asked for a credit on a "back-ordered" faucet that had not delivered 10 weeks after the order was placed. They charged me a 20% re-stocking fee. As an aside some of the incidentals, towel racks, etc that I didn't get with the original order, I later ordered on the web knowing what a you-know-what-show this place was, and found everything I needed quickly and easily. The customer service here is so bad!!! I had placed a $9000 order. After placing the order I kept calling to add to the order and left numerous messages to my sales girl saying I just wanted to place another order. She did not call me back until I called the manager and left her a message. I thought the manager could have called me back.... I asked her if she had received all my messages the past 3 weeks and she said she just didn't bother. So, I did not place the order for her and am renovating a large master bath and would never order from them again. Avoid this place like the plague! We had a ceiling collapse in our bathroom and needed to replace the entire thing pronto. We went to Blackman in Huntington on a Friday and explained that we needed tile and other supplies pronto from in-stock inventory only. The salesperson, Teralyn showed us only tile that was supposedly in stock and assured us that we would have it be the following Thursday. When my husband went to pick it up that Thursday, he was told that there were no deliveries from the warehouse during Christmas week (Merry Christmas!). Blackman never informed us of this, they did not call us that day to say the tiles were not in, and there was NO apology. My husband asked if he could pick up the tiles from the warehouse, but he was told it was closed for the week. Why did they take our money under false pretenses? We were forced to cancel the order and spend the day running to the Cancos warehouse, where we got some tile within two hours. We had a contractor at the house, and of course, we had to pay him for the day. It actually COST us money to order something we did not get at Blackman. The next day we went to Huntington Plumbing right down the road and ordered the rest of our stuff, and they were wonderful. What they promised is what they delivered. read more
