She was patient, friendly, and very helpful in us navigating the type and colors we wanted. She helped us stay within our budget and allowed us to take some samples home, so we could see how some of the choices looked in our actual space. One of the pulls ended up breaking upon installation and Kristen was able to get us a replacement one, on the house, which was much appreciated. One bathroom knob was installed incorrectly by the builder and it would not unlock . Thinking it was a defective knob / lock we called Mack for guidance. Turns out our builder came and said it was not defective but their fault. We ordered a new piece to replace the mistake and the Owner of Mack called to insure we had what we needed . Hello??? Who does that these days?? A+ all around Mack - my go to for all hardware needs!!

So the store manager passed my information on to John Wheatley the store owner. He started texting me around 7AM on a Saturday morning and refused to schedule a convenient time didn't give his name or any context. Just said.. "hey I need to come look at your grill". When John came on into my property and was condescending about the state of my grill and suggested that I get a new one before even opening it (the only issue is that I have been unable to order the typical replacement parts).The manager's rude tone was unacceptable. Next time I'll try to be a white man.

It's always been my first stop once I get that "to do" list. I'm not opposed to big box stores. They obviously can carry a greater inventory. But please shop your local merchant first. Do you really want to drive 20 minutes, park a football field away, spend another 20 minutes hunting down your drywall anchors, painters tape, and toilet flush valve, only to have the security alarm go off when you leave?

Got an email confirmation at 3:46pm on May 29 saying "Your delivery is on track!" and "Your delivery scheduled!" for that same day. No one ever showed up or contacted me. Didn't have time to call on Thursday so I called on Friday morning at 9:38am. The person I spoke to said deliveries are only made on Wednesdays and Saturdays and that someone would call me Saturday May 31 to let me know when the delivery would be ready. It's now 7pm and Ace closes at 5pm. No one has called, no delivery has been brought to the house. I REALLY wanted to give my business to someplace local, but this is ridiculous. I have cancelled my order and unfortunately won't be using this Ace Hardware in Woburn ever again. If an order is placed with a delivery day that you don't deliver on, you should contact the person placing the order and inform them of such. Extremely disappointing.

I highly recommend using their order online for in store pickup for the best pricing since the store will follow the online pricing vs the shelf sticker price. Online orders come with a paper bag that has a handle which makes it nice and easy to carry out. There are two floors to the store, with the majority of home improvement things being on the lower level.
