He told me he had them. I asked the price and told me that too. I went into the store and asked tine cashier where they were. She looked them up on the computer and told me aisle 3. I got them and went to pay. I liked that I didn't have to wait in line. Another cashier came to the front of the store and took me to pay. There are so many advantages to going to a small hardware store versus a Home Depot. And the number one reason is the customer service. Thank you all for starting my day with a smile!

Scott and team not only know this business they are committed to serving. I've shared earlier stories and here is another. This past weekend I brought in a pair of garden shears I thought I'd lost and it turned out I left them in the garden all fall and winter. They were rusted beyond recognition and I was so embarrassed to bring them to Scott to see what was possible. Scott smiled as I showed him my buried treasure and asked if I had a few minutes to wait. With that he disappeared into his workshop with the rusted shears. Not even 10 minutes later Scott reappears with an even bigger smile. The shears are good as new and we both wish we had a before picture ( see the after picture below). So there we have it friends. Another memorable moment in my Vanderhoof Hardware journey. Lots of parking, very well organized and all the extras that make HG easy to shop: throw pillows arranged by color, good cards for $1.99 so you can stock up and be ready for all occasions and an aisle full of dish towels with every color/design you can dream of. Animal lover? Prefer plaid over stripes? Towels to proclaim your love of whatever holiday is coming up? There is a towel - and maybe a matching pot holder - for that! Living in the city, the stores around here don't have a lot of the larger furniture items but they had a few big sofas and chairs, tables for homes larger than 600sf (lucky suburbanites) and outdoor rugs larger than my first condo.
